I'm already loving today's episode. What a special treat for Tad/Dixie fans. I love that Dixie is concerned for Tad and wanting to spend Christmas Eve with him...but Tad is so wrapped up in guilt and flashing back to David...and then to Dixie telling him about how she's pregnant and coming home just before she 'died'...then Brooke crying and telling Tad that Dixie 'died'. So sad, yet soo warm bc of the Dixie side. Father Clarence is a walking miracle - I love this man. It is nice to see him helping out other Pine Valley residents other than Bianca, Kendall, and those closely tied to them.

I also love that Dixie doesn't forget about Jamie. It was so nice that she would come see him, even if she was looking for Tad, just to kiss him and tell him Merry Christmas.

I'm also loving the Wildwind gang and how they are singing and celebrating Christmas. Julia makes me smile :) She sorta gets her own storyline starting today.

Finally, I love that outside/snow set that Babe and Krystal are in - so classy and wintry - I love it. And I don't know why today sticks out - but all the women on today's show look beautiful - especially Dixie, Babe, Krystal, and Amanda. They just have this glow to them all.

I love that they're continuing to have Father Clarence show up every year. It's really cool, especially since he is played by daytime vet Malachy McCourt.

I wonder if today is the full credits episode.

See I don't know - I'm wondering if the November pre-emption is still affecting the show or not. I know that Christmas is supposed to continue on through Tuesday's episode - so not sure if today is the full credits day or Tuesday - or both.

EDIT: Ok well they aired the full credits at the end of the episode...but it was horrible. I hated that song - I wanted a slower, more traditional Christmas song. Also the images flew by way too quickly - even though I was happy they played stuff from the entire year and featured pretty much everyone. But the credits went by way too fast and only covered half the screen - and the song was horrible :(

Anyway, what a GREAT episode today was....I'm just loving AMC these days. Wonderful stuff. And next Tuesday is part 2 of Christmas with Zendall/Spike/Ryan (how cute do they look in their train conductor hats?!?!) - and then we get Tad/Father Clarence on Tuesday. :)

He's visited Tad in 2 of his 4 visits. Bianca in 2003. Kendall and JR in 2004. Kendall, Ryan, Tad in 2005. Dixie, Tad in 2006. I rolled my eyes at Father Clarence basically telling Dixie to lie today, though, heh.

I'm dissapointed that they're showing that singing special instead of the Christmas 2004 Episode on Monday. Sigh.

I wish they would air reruns of classic AMC Christmas episodes. The only good episode I have on tape is Christmas 2003, which was the last really good one. We had the Chandlers and Martins at the Chandler home, and the Kanegomerys at Erica's penthouse...it was really a wonderful episode and I can't wait to watch my tape tonight!

Yeah - I remembered him visiting Tad last year after he mentioned to Dixie that Tad's wish from last year came true. Usually though when I think of Father Clarence - I automatically think of Bianca and Kendall...lol

LOL - yeah can you believe it?

If something REALLY bothers me though - I can usually express it ;) Like the opening right now SUCKS and needs major overhaul - and today's credits SUCKED....but today's actual episode was GREAT! :)

What an episode! I remember crying when that scene of Tad and Brooke first aired. All the performers tha day just hit the episode out of the ball park.

I also loved that When Dixie arrived at Tad's house there was little picture of Tad/Dix/Jamie/JR from a long time ago. How priceless.

Did anyone get a video of the full closing credits? I really want that for the archives.

I enjoyed today. I think Father Clarence gave Dixie some questionable advice. Sometimes one person's happiness does come at the expense of someone else's. That's life. How could it be right to let Adam think he's going to be a Daddy and keep another child from Tad.

I agree with you ( .....perhaps too much eggnog?) on both counts. Awesome show but the end credits was a real let-down. It was very un-AMC. Also, the clips looked like they were thrown together without much thought, basically ripped from 3 or 4 episodes: the Chandler Wedding, Syd & Colby at the yacht club, and some Zach & Kendall stuff. Surely someone could have spent some time going through more episodes.

I would watch MEK watch paint dry.

I so agree with you - very un-AMC like unfortunately....and someone did just throw it together. I ran the whole thing on slow-motion to read the actor's names...and they spelled Del's name "Del Henery". To me thats pretty sad. Also, Annie didn't have a last name listed - I guess she wants to drop and forget McDermott for good? lol

I did notice it was heavy JR/Babe wedding...but after watching on slow-motion and actually seeing some of the stuff that just flew by - you could see it was a good sampling from the entire year - except I would have liked to have seen more Janet. It was heavy on Mardi Gras Ball and ConFusion opening though - moreso than anything else.

Anyway great week of AMC! :)

History question here. Can anyone tell me why Babe took Miranda? Where was little A? Thanks!

I agree that it was a great episode, especially for us longterm Tad/Dixie fans. I can't wait for Tuesday!

I also agree that the song at the end sucked.

Wow, my ABC affiliate really fucked up today then. I thought the closing was horrible because my ABC only ran the second half of them. I didn't even know that the cast was listed and I only saw clips from the Mardi Gras ball...
