What does this show have over everyone? I would have to say no show was really good this year from reading the boards.

Best Family Drama(Luke comes out ATWT)-Totally Agree with that, to bad that Drama has not continued

Worst Recast(Spencer Grammer Lucy ATWT)- Totally 100% Agree

Best Start, Worst Follow Through- ATWT- Again SOD is right on the money

as a fan of both shows, I agree with both of these.

Phoenix, I don't see the need for the Oh Brother. I think all these are actually pretty good. The only one I don't agree with is Spencer for Best Villian, but he is not a bad choice.

I don't see GH as a necessarily bad pick for Best Soap. Considering that all the shows were down this year, they had just as much chance as any. They were really good with the virus storyline and Lulu's abortion. They were very good. So I don't see it as really bad that they won.

Are you upset because Days didn't win anymore than they did?

If Zack's death was the best storyline on daytime television in 2006, the genre is in a sorry state. Yes, it gave us 2 weeks of great acting. But the actual story rapidly went south. It degenerated into little more than a tacky JER quad.

Umm, John Abbott DIED this year, Traci was on for like 3 days total, Ashley had all of NO story and has been fired, Colleen is the Abbott least likely to attend breakfast or anything else for that matter, Billy returned for 3 months and only a handfull of appearances. Jack is the only one who's been featured all year. If that's adds up to rejuvenation........... then daytime is even worse off than I'd thought. Pass the dutchie, Stephanie, Lynn & Carolyn!!!!

I can see where GH would be best show- it's really a toss-up, since no soap was consistently good all year. GH did have its moments this year IMO.

I agree that BW was wasted on DOOL but when I think of how OLTL wasted ES, HT, DG and HBS all year long I have to think BW has a lot of company.

I also disagree with Spencer as best villain. EJ is a far better villain.

T/B as most tortured? Not buying that one either.

Zack's death as best story, ooookay, I have to disagree, it started out great, but fizzled really bad, it became another JER gimmick to pair Bo & Hope up with other people and then it became about Chelsea

AMC is bad, but worst show should have gone to Days IMO, it's been consistently bad for over 2 years, and just started to improve now that Hoagie is head writer.

In what universe? Did SOD neglect to read their own comings and goings? And I don't think one month of John's death and mourning consitutes as a rejuvenated family. Besides, Jack does not an Abbott family make. Ashley had no important role in anything when they decided to trot her out and Billy's return wasn't much to sniff about either. And I won't get started on John the Ghost... oops, I mean Jack's conscience, yet Zapato can somehow sense him, blah, blah, blah...

This must be one of THE worst list SOD did in a while.

There is so much that doesn't make any sense at all: As already mentioned: The Abbotts a rejuvenated family? They kill or get rif of nearly all family memebers within a few month and are still THE best family in soapdom?

SOD could have stuck with Y&R: The Winters' were very much front and centre and had some good stories (along with some stinkers). Still, they weren't boring and had very much diverse material - I've never cared so much for those folks since the Keisha/Malcolm story in the mid-90s...

I simply digress over the GH bias of SOD. I guess it was just mere coicidence. Yet, they call B&B doing "worst family drama"...
