ATWT: Who should write the show and who should be executive producer?

After reading winterguy's post of Jean P...... who do you think should be HW and EP of ATWT?

I would love to have Lorraine Broderick back as HW (and if not, I'd also like her on GL too). I think her tenure was far too short, and that's when I first started watching ATWT. Millee Taggart and/or Carolyn Culliton would be great too. I thought Hogan's ATWT was best when she was his Co-HW.

As far as EP's, I'm not really sure, as long as it's NOT John Conboy or anyone that Brian Frons would approve of.

Any one who gives a damn? And is willing to forego all baby, drugging and Paul marries in the fall storylines for a minimum of two years.

Earlier this year, I hoped Trent Jones was in line to take over. I'd settle for any of Y&R's castoffs. At least they'd have a passing acquaintance with storyline integrity and continuity.

Call me crazy but I would love to see The Dobsons return to daytime and return to ATWT. I think they would be wonderful.

I know that is not going to happen so my next best choice would be to put my favorite Sunset Beach team at ATWT.

Make Gary Tomlin executive producer and Head Writer along with Meg Bennett, Christopher Whitesell and Michelle Poteet Lisanti

I think they would really give Jessica something to do, and would be a breath of fresh air for the show for awhile.

Two other HW combinations might be:

Beth Milstein, Peter Brash, and Paula Cwikley.

Carolyn Culliton, Richard Culliton & Sofia Landon Geier

Whatever happened to Susan Belsow Horgan? She was head writer in 85 before Marland took over. She did a great job. I also think they should bring back Laurence Caso as EP.

The Milstein/Brash/Cwikly combo sounds REALLY good, but right now I want Milstein and Brash to stay at DAYS.

I was a fan of the Lorraine Broderick/Felicia Minei Behr days.

Please no. LB stories were too slow and more boring than Jean's. And FMB had some of my favorite actors canned. I dont want to see her back. I think the reason they are liked a lot is because they took over after the dreadful year of Stern and Black.

Actually, I had never watched ATWT until Summer 1998, which was when I got hooked. And there is NO WAY Passanante's current storylines would ever attract me to ATWT as a new viewer!

I found the stories to be just blah. I hated the Denise/Andy storyline. It was great seeing Andy in a storyline. But I found their storyline boring.

OK, I'll definitely give you that one. Then again, I hated the Denise/Andy s/l no matter who was writing it (Broderick, Laiman, or Sheffer).

But there was so much I liked under Broderick:

- Carly/Jack/Julia (BEFORE it got repetitive)

- David's "death"

- the sinking of the Valetta

- Tom & Emily's affair

- Eddie & Georgia

- Molly before she was watered down

- the reveal of Parker's paternity (not sure if that was Broderick or Laiman, though)

- the AIDS charity ball

I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting too...

Ok their storyline was good.

- David's "death"

I'll give you two.

- the sinking of the Valetta
Hated the storyline.

- Tom & Emily's affair

Yuck/Grpss!

- Eddie & Georgia
Hated both of them.

- Molly before she was watered down

I hated Molly's introduction. It was rewriting of history. That's what I dont want for the show.

And Camille/Brad...really enjoyed Lauren Martin-Harkins. She was a great soap heroine.

See, I hated Camille and Brad. I wanted Camille with Ben.

I HATED when Ben left Camille for Denise. That was so stupid.

I didn't like Tom & Emily as a couple per se, but I thought the storyline was done well. IMO, it was much better than anything those three characters are getting now.
