Nov 8, according to about.com (and my memory once jogged)

As I recall, Bush had a presser to announced Rummy leaving the day after the elections. Probably will help AMC if you look at the rest of the numbers.

As it is, it looks like a 2.4 average for AMC. If they'd gotten another 2.3 on Wed their 5 day average would have been 2.38 (and with the wacky rounding, I don't know if that would be go up to 2.4 or not...I bow to the numbers experts which I most certainly am not).

I hope AMC's demos go down or stay down, down, down. The show is in free fall and is a free-for-all. I think Willey was right when he said TPTB are throwing shiit at the wall to see what sticks. I think the show started after the Madden Murder to change directions on a lot of things (Zendall reunites, T&D working together and empathizing with the other, Dixie's getting softened up (have you seen the hairstyle change from sophisticated cosmopolitan to Soccer Mom in sweaters?), Colby as more damaged by lack of Daddy love than just straight on obnoxious. Anything for the tiniest bump in ratings.

December is going to be very interesting as we watch Megan conjure more from of her bag of witchy tricks. There'll be Christmas Miracles flying all over PV (especially considering the unifying themes replayed in various storylines...like currently, "the unforgivable is forgivable" with twu wub...miracles ensue *sneefle*). Oh yeah, and a serial killer and another shot and youngish demos over the holiday break.

I think McTrash usually sucks in Nov Sweeps and gets higher ratings in Dec, though I don't know if that is a consistent trend. Angela may know. But if she manages to ramp up Dec, she may be able to hang on to explode something or rape somebody in Feb. Her contract is up in April, no? Unfortunately, AMC fans don't even have a "fresh hell" to deal with, our HELL is old, dank, nausea-inducing and STALE because hell evidently is eternal after all.

Run The Bastards Out of AMC/ABCD:

The Triumvirate of Daytime Destruction...

Brian Frons, King, "Star"maker and PT Barnum of Daytime

Julie H. Carruthers, Clueless Pushover and Proud to Bring You Shaky Cam!

Megan McTavish, they don't call her McTravesty for nothin'! No character is safe! Run, scream and pray should she write for your character or your couple. Run, mutha fucka...ruuuuuuun!

Yes Wednesday was the day Bush was on and AMC and Days did not air. B&B also did not air in part of the country. I know it didn't come on here at all that day which probably accounts for them having a 2.9 at least part of it.

Reva's storyline really helped GL again. The two days that it came to head on Monday and Tuesday really helped them alot. I can't believe they tied Days even this week. That put them in a 4 way tie with Days, AMC, and OLTL. Of course Days and AMC lost one day, so not sure if their Wednesday would have helped either one. The 2.1 is what hurt Days big time. Was the show really that bad that day?

Overall fairly good week. Still a really good week for CBS esp. since GL has done better. Keep it up GL but I am afraid it won't. The fall back to the 2.2's after Reva's story does not look good.

I am not sure why but DAYS worst day is usually every Thursday and for the last 6 months to a year thats when Sofia Landon Geier, IMO DAYS best script writer, would have her episode. Lately I haven't seen her name as a SW, but even without her as a SW Thursday for whatever reason is a bad day for DAYS, or has been in the last year or so when I have paid extra attention to the ratings.

This week has been so good, so hopefully DAYS will rebound.

Tuesday of last week was the intro of Nick Fallon, Wednesday was pre-empted, so I guess Nick wasnt well received. There isnt a way to know for sure though.

I hope TIIC at GL take notice of the days that scored them these higher than normal numbers. It wasn't by coincidence and should be sending them a strong message of what viewers want. Character-driven drama, characters viewers care about and care what happens to them, etc. Those ratings went right back down when the contrived mess that is Scruff's story started to take over.

I keep hoping Y&R will move up to 4.6 but they are so close. Maybe next week!!!

McTavish usually doesn't write anything good during sweeps period, IMHO. Her sweeps are usually really boring and uneventful. But for some really odd reason the following month/months are when things usually happen. I find it very strange considering sweeps are more important and determine the advertising rates. Of course, she is a very strange writer to begin with with!!!! Here is hoping she gets fired soon!!!

I think that there were some parts of the country where DOOL DID air on Wednesday. But then those people would not have watched on Thursday because of no new episode (because Thursday was a repeat of Wednesday since most of the U.S. was preempted). Sot the Thursday rating missed out in counting those people that watched on Wednesday where the episode was available.
