I am not sure what the ratings will do for AMC. Even though they have a few things happening for sweeps, a lot of the audience is pretty fed up with the show right now. Sweeps sound boring to me and they aren't enough to get me watching again. They have alienated so much of the audience I don't know that what they are going to show will help them any. I guess we will find out when the ratings come out next week.

Yeah...but boy I'm worried. I've never prayed so hard that people just don't watch AMC.

AMC needs to tank completely.

To the Neilsen-ers out there: Watch Days, read a book, do anything but watch AMC!

Although I'm not convinced anyone will be fired if AMC does tank...except for great actors of course.

The last I think 3 weeks of promos for AMC have been Babe/Josh and/or Dixie centered.

I don't think any of these characters are doing much for AMC. I think they all should be backburned for a long while.

I REALLY thought viewers would turn in for Laura. That's bad news. I wonder if it has to do with the quality of the show, or if "big time" characters just don't do it anymore...

Laura did take GH out of it's record low slump, but as a whole the show is dreadful and people can't just tune in for Laura. If they completely retool the show I think ratings will reflect.

The Carey hobags are taking over the show as was shown by the episode counts for October, even Kendall wasn't on that much compared to Babe and Josh.

The show is too Babe/Josh/Dixie centered. 3 of the most hated characters on the show right now, yep I'm not surprised that the ratings for AMC are in the toilet.

I do agree with you about the Carey girls - do not like either of them.

But I hate Zach. I wish that character would go away. He does absolutely nothing for me. And I want all the Laverys gone. I hate all of them. And I can't stand any of the teens - worse set of teens ever on AMC and I thought the JR/Jamie/Laurie/Joni set was the worst but I change my opinion.

And as far as Dixie, she is one of the only reasons I enjoy the show at all the times I tune. She and Kendall (of the actresses that are featured) are the best things about the show for me. I know the Zendall fans hate her, and there is a lot of stuff I don't like about her character anymore, but she has not been completely spoiled for me yet.

I don't think we can say Craig's return is the sole reason why the show is up. IF Hunt Block had returned then yes, but it's a recast who isn't very well known to the younger viewers.

It's not even really solely Zendall fans that hate Dixie, I'm finding there to be a general hate for her from people who are not even couple fans at all. Her return was one of the worst in a VERY long time IMO.

Glad to see the rises for DAYS in HH, 18-34/18-49...the show really deserves the gains.

Also good to see ATWT with solid numbers.

GENERAL "Laura Stunt" HOSPITAL with a 2.7.....I would say the stunt only half worked...what will be REALLY telling is their rating next week.

AMC hitting all-time lows in 18-49/18-34 and 25-54 is music to my ears...maybe NOW something will be done!

GH will see huge gains this month. This is being promoted everywhere I turn. I hate GH, but I can't take this away from them. They're doing a good job of getting this out there.

Stunt or not, they're still gonna get the ratings, which is more than any other soap can say. Stunts work. No one cares if it's temporary. They'll still be able to say they won sweeps or at least did better than 6 other shows.

Oh come on... Hal's Memorial wasn't boring... And the Halloween party began on Friday of last week -- it was hardly boring!

I thought Hal's memorial was not only boring but lame.

The show revolves around Jade and Craig so that's one reason why I'm bored right now. Give Luke, Henry, Barbara and Lucinda something significant to do and the show would be interesting and fun again. But I'm very happy the ratings are good because I do not want this show to be canceled and a contract renewal is happening soon.

Apparently, Hogan Sheffer was the weakest link there. Now, Days is going through another sweeps with nothing exciting happening.

I don't like to be a downer, but I'm just not impressed with Sheffer as yet.

Yeah. It's good, but boring. SON-ers seem to be content with seeing more family on DAYS. I like it, but I want something more. I want action. Something.

to GH. To me the stunt failed. This is the week it should have got a big number because it was Laura waking up and reuniting with Luke. Sure they are promoting it to high hell but if it can't even hold on to the 2.7 it does have through November they won't win sweeps. If they do hold on to it and manage somehow to hold at least 3rd them the stunt halfway succeeded but I don't think that will happen. GH will see a gain at the end of the month for their next little disaster and for the actualy Luke and Laura anniversary but the weeks between now and then I don't see good things for them.

GO GL!! I wish they had gone up more but still tying AMC was great. I hope they pass OLTL next so Frons will wake up.

I knew ATWT would do good because of Hal's service. While it was very disappointing, it was going to get a ratings. ATWT is a tad boring right now bit it's better then Y&R right now IMO. I did think Y&R was a little better last week then what it has been lately though.

I knew Days would only get a +1 for the week because other shows had alot going on. Steve/Kayla was going to give them a number and I think they may see another +1 this week too because they are in the promo again this week. Steve/Kayla is what brought many fans back so hopefully more come back as NBC is promoting them more. It sucks Passions only got a +1 for the Ivy reveal and for MW's return but that is what they get for not promoting Ivy's reveal heavily.

It was a much better week for most shows though.
