I really can't take him seriously at all and I think he is tame as a love interest for Olivia. I think they forgot that they wrote him out after season 1 for a reason.

I am sad about Dann Florek. That means Mariska is the last OG cast member left sad.png

Liv playing house with and hosting dinner parties with Cassidy is beyond ridiculous. Not believable! They should have gone with Vincent Spano since Dean Porter is with the FBI and would not be around as much as Cassidy. Besides, Vincent and MH had massive chemistry.

My guess is now that Cragen is leaving, Liv will be bumped up (Mariska wants to work less). I can imagine the budget for the department going thru the roof as Liv uses all resources to prove someone is a rapist when he isn't.

Never thought the day would come to where I'd be tired of Liv, but she has worked my very last nerve and I don't even watch regularly.

Yeah I'm kinda burnt out on Olivia too. Wouldn't mind seeing her backburnered to an authoritative position and seeing a couple of new detectives.

How do you guys like Rollins? I was really bored by her episode where she got played by the girl in her GA group and her sponsor who was sleeping with her.

Also do any of you miss Stabler? I thought I did but upon watching some of the newer seasons over I felt a little more "relaxed" feel amongst the detectives. He was always a little wound too tight.

I don't miss Stabler. Amaro fills the void nicely enough without all of that suppressed rage Eliot had. And goodness knows, I'm glad to never see any of Eliot's batshit crazy kids again. My only problem with his absence is that they haven't explained it. There's no way Stabler wouldn't have come back to help when Liv went missing. For them to not even do a throwaway line about Stabler having moved away or something was lame.

I've already said that I love Rollins and Fin. They are in the perfect position to become the lead pairing on this show. I'm really looking forward to his reaction when he finds out she's relapsed. I definitely think it's time to add a new detective. We've lost Munch and Cragen.

I only watch sporadically, especially since Chris Meloni left. I definitely miss Elliot, but I am a huge Chris Meloni fan from his days on Oz. I think that Amaro is okay and a good partner for Olivia, but Kelli Giddish is bland and lacks any energy, much like she was on AMC. I still don't see why NBC thinks she is anything special, but it keeps moving her from show to show. I think she must be sleeping with one of its executives.

I have no problem with Cassidy. He is not too smart or demanding which makes him the perfect man for Olivia. I think a woman with Olivia's myriad of problems and dramas would be difficult for most men to deal with.

I am not looking forward to Olivia confronting her attacker. It is all so over the top. And I am tired of all her dramas also.

I will miss Cragen. I don't buy the reasoning. It is more likely budget cutting combined with trying to get younger.

I don't miss Stabler. I liked him at the time and I love Chris Meloni but Stabler's story was done and I think they have done a good job re-inventing the show since he left. There are hundreds of Stabler-era reruns to watch, so it's no biggie if I want to see a Stabler episode. I hope they will bring him back if/when the series finale comes, which hopefully is not for a while, but honestly I don't feel like there is a missing piece when I tune in to the new eppys.

A big aspect in re-inventing the show has been the new ADA Barba. Love him. We haven't had a stable ADA since Casey got disbarred like 6 seasons ago. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Christine Lahti guest stint and when they would bring back Alex/Casey as needed but the "Order" aspect of this show has been suffering for years and Barba has definitely brought it back.

Benson doesn't bother me any. I actually like her more as the seasons go on. The way she always always believes the victim no matter what is just her signature trait and so needed on a show like this, and that they have kept that aspect of her character consistent for 15 seasons is amazing to me.

I like Rollins a lot actually, she is a good detective but she definitely has a dark side. To me Amaro is the weakest link. He is just so bland I really can't with him.

I think even if NBC cancels the show USA will pick it up. They are always showingv reruns and they rate really well.

I go back and forth on Amaro some episodes I really enjoy him and somev episodes he is a drag. Overall I like the new group but wouldn't mind to see a new detective or two next season. Isn't Olivia a sergeant now?

I don't know where else to put this but the original Law and Order is now airing on Sundance channel and it went back to the first season 1990 episodes. I know another channel had started it on New Years Day but when i looked at the schedule, It started in like the sixth season. This is the original first season with Chris North.

Good Lord! Will that cochroach just die already?! This is not interesting anymore (not sure if it ever was).

Is it commonplace for the accused to badger their alleged victim on the stand? I find that so disturbing... A bad reaction from the victim can be misconstrued. Very disturbing!

Waste to have REG only to do nothing with her. But I swear that woman's hair is everything! So gorgeous and full of life. It was always on point on OLTL.

    • Am I the only one who hates how this show treats Claire? She's a glorified extra This girl comes from stock the granddaughter of the shows 2 biggest supercouples and they treat her like she's a throw away. Her pop pop is dying/dead and her other grandpa is saved awoken from his coma, alive because of the selfless heroic actions of her maternal grandpa

There is no reason why she wouldn't be here to say goodbye. Olivia Rose isn't doing anything I bet she love to come back and say goodbye. I just don't understand the motivation & thought process when it comes to some decisions. This show is probably still salty about how they didn't succeed in trying to assassinate Claire, on the alter of her dicktimized bird brained aunt & her serial killer boyfriend/husband with the audience.  Also unless they're keeping it under wraps Sami not being back in time to say goodbye to John is a huge fumble. If it had to do with Ali availability then they should've pushed back the fallout of Johnny learning about his sperm donor raping his mother and the subsequent confrontation with Elvis & Sami to conceded with John's coma & death so Sami/Ali were here for it. It's just a huge piece missing from this. As much I hated Sami's overdramatic looney tunes treatment of John long after she was in her 30s, became a grandma, her & John had one of the best dynamic complex heartbreaking father/daughter relationship's on both daytime and the show. It would be full circle as John's end of watch nears, that Sami apologizes for her treatment of him & admits she does love him. He was just as much as a father to her as "Roman", in a impossible situation that turned everyone lives upside down(The 2 Romans, Roman Intitial Death, The Affair)through no fault of his own. How fitting if she called him dad one last time & how thankful she is for his unconditional support and love. He squeezes her hand one last time, calls her Samantha and finally let's go after hearing the words he spent decades longing for in my eyes
    • So around '84 is when things get bad?
    • There are details through the thread, but yes, as mentioned, she hated Ellen Wheeler, and lambasted her for crying a lot, for her decisions with firing and Peapack, etc. Back in the day she also hated Pam Long, who created Reva and gave Reva all of her best material. The producers or writers she liked most seemed to be those who saw Reva in the most generic of molds, although she likely doesn't see it that way. She was OK on OLTL; I think @Vee could probably give a better summary. She was earthy and added her usual hard work to some trash material. There was nothing special going on, as yet again with patron saint Carlivati it was all plot, no character, and he cared more about writing for a cutesy child character.  You're right about what they could have done with Reva. Reva, Erica, and any women who are in story long enough face this problem. The biggest difference is Reva was allowed to age (even with the post-menopausal baby), which Erica was not.
    • Cali was the only Paulina for me on AW.  Was Judi Evans such a “name” that Cali was fired for her?  Judi basically played an entirely different character.  She could’ve been Nancy!
    • They were great together. Barbara was way too high maintenance for any man. You know Henry divorced her a$$ after about a year.  And, here’s an example of what I was talking about…
    • I watch every day as well, and I am enjoying the show. There's always room for improvement. TBH, things are much different from what I expected reading the character breakdowns. That could be a good thing! I'm willing to let them find their groove and figure out what kind of show it wants to be. The core and underlying theme. -I echo what a few others have said: The show is lacking in real romance and cross-starred lovers. But that tracks from (MVJ) experience cause the bell soaps are not good with romance IMO. -I have a feeling it's being built before our eyes, but we're missing that rival family. -I would prefer more variety of storylines. Good ones that could weave together the whole town.   -I struggle connecting to the male characters. So I hope they get a clear handle on them soon. Most of them feel underwritten and one-note. -Find a better purpose for Naomi. I fear she will be the first Dupree dumped. I completely agree. June's story does nothing for me. And what if she turns out to be Tyrell and Samantha's mom? They are very close to leaving high school. why should I care? If she turns out to be related to Hayley also, what's the long-term story, and why should I care? I believe Hayley can work on her own as a vixen. Does she need a sounding board? Sure, but you can accomplish that with an outsider's friend group. I didn't think I would be saying this, but I would entertain Kat having a forbidden affair with Jacob. Both Naomi and Jacob need something to do other than case-of-the-month storylines.
    • That would really just be a redux of the Leslie/Eva story. I really hope they don't go there. My guess for the storyline with Anita that we have "never seen before on daytime" is that it may be a "me, too" story. Anita did unspeakable things to get ahead because of some disgusting producer, and the other person she left behind was a boyfriend who cared about her very much.
    • Reva and Zimmer needed strong adversaries/scene partners. It would dampen the negatives associated with the character and Zimmer's self-admitted excesses. I think that's why she was a bust on SB. I don't know how she did on her return to OLTL because I was not watching at that point. The problem for me with Reva is the same situation with Erica Kane. It ended up being variations of the same storyline year after year. I think if the show had truly broken up Reva and Josh and put them in other viable relationships it would have freed up the characters to have better storylines and character growth. Instead, it's as if the characters were stuck for decades.

And I know I'm not ready and have not been since the official news. That was my first couple on that show. You won't be alone.    When you put it like that...same. Like I say in the thread when I'm more interested in what people are wearing than the stories...red flag. No momentum. Just stalling.      lol.
