The promise was only about them all playing poker again together. I'm sure they kept in touch but we won't really know how much they saw each other, just that the four of them never saw each other again at one time. How could Susan and Lynette not stay in touch, they have a grandkid together.

The shot of Lynette with the grandchildren mentions six of them but doesn't show or mention Julie and Porter's kid. WTF? Seems odd, especially after they were both there for the kid's birth. I really fail to see how Susan and Lynette wouldn't keep in touch.

Lynette lives in NYC and Parker and Julie live in CA. It's not too hard to believe that they don't move with her but instead stay in CA or even somewhere else. I don't think their kid needed to be there. Besides how did you even make out that the kid wasn't?

That's how i took it too.

I liked the finale until the last ten minutes. I HATE when shows end with everyone moving away and not staying in touch. I think it's the biggest cop out and not a satisfying ending at all.

The relationships I saw develop over the last 8 years are not the kind you just "lose touch with". These ladies were more than friends. If you're willing to stand trial for MURDER to protect someone, you're more than friends.

It was out of character for ALL of them to leave.

What piques my interest the most is the new housewife's "mystery." Not necessarily the actual mystery, because I got tired of DH's mysteries a long time ago, but the fact that Susan left before the others did, so whatever new wife's mystery was, you know the others were probably all up in her business to figure it out.

I'm just glad that my suspicion that the whole thing from Mary Alice's suicide on was going to be a dream/nightmare didn't come true.

I kind of wished they had had that mysterious woman move into Mary Alice's house instead of Susan's. The whole show started there, so to me it would have been fitting to introduce the "new mystery" there as it comes full circle.

We don't know where Julie was living, do we? Wisteria Lane is located in the fictitious Eagle State which many have placed somewhere around Indiana. They don't live in California, hence Gaby and Carlos moving there in the little epilogue. I like that they all kind of moved out of the fantastical neighborhood that couldn't possible exist in a real place to actual states we all know. It fits with the show ending.

The kid wasn't there because Lynette was old and all the grandkids were like 10. Julie and Porter's kid would be like at least 20. Also wasn't Julie's kid a girl? There was only one girl among the kids and she was the youngest.

Gabby and Carlos moved to Hollywood. I always thought Fairview was in northern California.

Anyways Julie does live with/near Susan and thats not in NYC. Its not too hard a stretch to believe that she stayed put there with Porter, raising their child. The kids that would have moved with Lynette would have been Penny, Paige and maybe Parker. Those 3 are the ones to most likely stay in and around NY and those were most likely their kids

They never gave resolution to Tom's daughter. They shipped off that demon child and never revisited her. What a waste

More shows should be honest and say friendships die. It's far more true to life than fake ass endings like SATC where women who had little in common and who barely seemed to be able to have a conversation by the end of the show were going to be BFF forever.

I honestly cant see how Bree could stay friends with any of them at the end of this season. They ALLL threw her under the bus and risked her going to jail and the death penalty for a crime they ALL were involved in. And they were all complete bitches to her and nearly drove her to kill herself earlier this season. The cruelty she faces from them was unbelievable and they were moved on with their lives bc they saved their own asses while hers was getting ripped to shreds. Their friendship was tested and they all let her down. In real life she would move on and not have much to do with them again

    • Yeah, Ben and Evie don't start interacting in a 'we're going to pair them together as a couple' way until Feb/March 1977 when she recommends Ben paint a portrait for Jackie.  And Evie's working for Jackie so she and Ben interact and start to become friends.  That happens after Tim breaks up with  her and she's forgiven her sister.. and he and Hope break up after he covers for his younger brother for a crime that he had committed.  Jackie does come onto the canvas in December 1976 and the first months are her trying to snag Mike while she and Justin seem to play a cat and mouse game with one another as he's trying to restart things with Sara again. I often wonder if the Phillip story only came about because the show was going to be expanded to an hour.. and the Dobson's deciding that some of the new characters they were introducing could be tied to Justin/Jackie's back story.
    • Seems like the Dobsons were aiming for a Joe/Sara/Justin triangle or, having decided that Joe would be killed off, Justin would be waiting in the wings. But that never came to pass and I don't think there was much reference to Justin/Sara as time went on.That was something that could have been used later on but Doug Marland may not have known or cared. Also, when the show went to an hour they could add a lot of characters and not rely on the stalwarts, hence Jackie/Alan/Elizabeth. And after Leslie died, Mike went into Dad mode with Hope. Hope/Ben never took off and Hope was replaced and then dropped and Ben moved on to Eve, whose romance with Tim fizzled and Jordan Clarke left (by choice?)

    • When I was a kid, I would watch DOOL with my mom. I remember Denise as Susan so well. And later, of course, on GH. How sad to hear she has passed. RIP.
    • I have to dig that scene up on YT. I'm glad they gave them some kind of happy ending, even if it was really late. Interesting! I remember Justin and Sarah being involved, but I either forgot or never caught their backstory. The girl with money and social position of course turns out to be Jackie. He sort of did to Sarah what Vanessa did to his brother! I do remember Justin started out as not the greatest guy. Kind of a horn dog. It's only when Ross comes on that he becomes the "good" brother. I only have some vague memories of Ben and Hope, mostly of when they were in a positive relationship. He certainly changed over time. "Chill" would be the way I would describe Ben (along with "handsome but kind of a yawn") for most of his time on GL, so hearing he once had a violent temper is very surprising.
    • Yes. That's called good writing.
    • interesting idea.  That makes sense, as MVJ seems to have set up each character development (traits) for future plot developments.
    • I really enjoyed today's episode. It showcased a lot of the other cast and I saw hints of storyline potential (Smitty & Bill). Martin definitely has some anger issues and I recall him being overly scared about protecting his family and having all the doors locked, coming out of one of his "dreams". There's obviously a lot going on there and I can't wait to find out more. I'm thinking June is going to be more than just the issue story of the week. I think she just might be related to one or more of our main characters. As for Tomas, yes, Alex Alegria is not the strongest actor, but he's pretty to look at and he emotes something. I'm just not sure what that something is yet.
    • No. Absolutely No. I don't know who this is... since it's just some random Twitter quote... But NO. The only parallel between OG Caroline's leukemia and Liam's tumor... is that they are both having cancer. That's it. Other than that... I see absolutely no similarities.  Caroline hid her sickness almost till the last moment. She was also giving the viewers signs that she is not well for days if not weeks before the diagnosis. It was not like Liam... falling down and hitting his head on a table and bam he has a tumor. Caroline's storyline broke our hearts, because of her attempt to live out the rest of her days with dignity and grace. It was written slowly and with care. What we are seeing right now with Liam is the complete opposite. It's begging the viewers for empathy and cheap tears. It's so in your face and trashy... I can't believe they are using cancer for something like this. Bradley Bell should never do terminal stuff again in his stories. It's borderline offensive to people who actually have lost relatives to cancer. To me it is.
