The tree line was just a joke, just a funny, normal comment.

I thought it was just a dumb improv line. Whatevs, it was hilarious!

I can see it being a Deidre line, cause her humor is sarcastic and dry, but she's said she rarely improvs. It was awesome either way though. Hope they bring back her humor.

Officially, Days is just awesome right now. Even on a day that not a lot happened, we still got some great and very important stuff. The Sami and Austin scene to me was just so important for the characters and for the show. I didn't know whether to cheer or cry at the end of the scene. To me it was a scene we've all been waiting for where Sami finally grows up and realizes that Austin belongs with Carrie. I feel like I can begin to care about the character of Sami again. I also thinks it shows that now the writers actually care about this show as much as I do. It's been so long since I actually felt that way. I've always loved Days, but I haven't felt like JER did at all. Gosh, I'm so excited about this show again. Also, so great to see Carrie and Marlena interacting like family and friends again.

Did anyone else feel like Roman really wanted Marlena to leave town? It was weird how much he was trying to get her to take the job offer. I wonder why the gloved one wants Marlena to leave? Surely we are not going to have Marlena kidnapped again.

I'm really getting into this show again. I love that I want to watch every day again.

I agree. Roman was SUSPICIOUSLY interested in Marls leaving town. He clearly had a vested interest in her leaving town. Now I just want to find out WHY.

Lol, I loved the Marlena line today. That was funny.

I have to say that I am totally loving DAYS right now. The dialogue is absolutely AMAZING.

The scenes between Marlena and Carrie were very touching and well done. I love the chemistry between Deidre and Christie and I love that Carrie came to confide in Marlena.

It was amazing watching the Sami/Austin scenes. I went back and rewatched it a couple of times. If you can, go back and do so and watch Alison's face as she's saying her lines. Watch how her facial features go from Sami just making excuses to her actually believing what it coming out of her mouth and owning up to the fact that Austin does not love her. There's just something about Alison and Austin that draws me in when they're together. I was happy to hear Sami acknowledging what we've all known. I felt really bad for her as she was admitting the truth to herself.

The EJ/Lucas scenes were good too. I love that Lucas is jealous. However I still think that Lucas is interested in EJ. No one will ever change my mind about that, lol.

I think Roman's vested interested goes as far as him caring about Marlena. I'd love to sus[pect him and get rid of the character and Taylor as an end result, but come on, let's be real, people.

I * heart* Alison Sweeney. I've been waiting for YEARS for Sami to understand what she uttered today. I agree - she was using Carrie as an excuse, at first. But, once she got talking, you really believed that Sami finally realizes she needs to be her own 'first choice'.

I really enjoyed today's episode as well. I wouldn't say the dialogue is AMAZING but it's 10 better than when Reilly was HW.

Why is it that Austin Peck only acts when he gets fired? LOL.

I didn't get what AP and CC meant at first about "feeling it in the air" that they were leaving. But it's definitely there now. Even though we know it's not happening, it feels like all five of them are out. There IS a weird feeling in the air.

I agree KR-there is something in the air. I think what Peck and Clark meant was exhibited to us today in the Sami/Austin scenes. That was CLOSURE. The Austin/Carrie/Lucas/Sami story was a big story for me. I remember when it all started and today when Sami cried I just got all nostalgic and cried with her. I just loved that story and now it really is over and there is no going back without destroying characters in the process. The way she went from excuses to self-realization was excellent. All the actors are doing great but these Sami/Austin scenes, while not a huge event, actually were as far as the characters. It was HUGE for them and I have already watched that scene like 3 times because it is something you wait to see for years and then you see it and still can't beleive it. Just awesome.

As for Roman, I did think it was suspicious but I wouldn't hold my breath as Taylor is Corday's buddy and he has survived so many cast cuts. I would like it if he were involved but I don't see it. I like Taylor as an actor but he sucks as Roman IMO.

Wow today's show was great. It was a great closure to the Austin/Carrie/Sami/Lucas story, and is great for moving on the next thing for all 4.

Allison Sweeney is great and deserves to be front-runner for an Emmy next year. She, Kristian, Peter, James and Renee have all had some wonderful scenes this year to submit, but I still don't hold much hope for them due to the politics and the process.

I can't see where some say the diologue is still not that good. I feel like it is lots better than some other shows. The scene between Austin and Sami was right on, and even Austin Peck was made better by the diologue.

I love that the episodes are beginning to use less people. It will get us more use to a smaller cast once the cuts are made. And it gives them a bigger chance to shine.

And I will say again people can say what they want about why the ratings are up and give credit to certain performers. But Allison Sweeney has carried this show for several weeks now. She is wonderful and deserves credit for leading this show like she has. Man she just keeps growning as an actress. I will say again I am just loving the chemistry with her and James Scott.

Keep up the good work Days.

One last note I sure hope they are not getting ready to ship Deidre Hall off the screen again. I guess if they do it is going to be a surprise since they haven't advertised this one.

I wouldn't worry Steve-Marlena is going nowhere. There is definitely more to it then what we saw today.

As for Ali, this girl has carried the show through some of its roughest patches. 1999-2001 were some bad years but Ali practically carried the show and you can make the case that Ali has carried the show from that point on. Whenever the show is in a rut, it always seems like Ali picks it up and holds it together. She is amazing and I agree that her, Reckell, Alfonso, Jones, Reynolds, and Melvin all deserve nods for their work.

The way Sami broke down once Austin left was awe-some. So much pent up angst/lies/truth/whatever the [!@#$%^&*]. It was awesome. God, DAYS characters are being multi-dimensional and complex!! this is so weird.

I know KR-it is so great!!! :D
