  1. I don’t think that sale of the house in Quogue went through because it was back on the market a couple of years later. I’m not sure. I first saw the house featured in Episodes magazine years and years ago. Here’s a more recent video:
  2. Alexis’ tusk desk The Ewing license plates Sandy Dvore’s Knots Landing painting Robin Strasser’s Dorian portrait
  3. Transferring the tapes would be a wonderful internship for a film/TV production student.
  4. While I won’t get involved in this mishegoss of soap scans being held hostage on account of my sins, I do want to apologize for hurting your feelings, @allmc2008. In a release of pent-up frustration with your posts of late, I made what in the moment felt like a very on brand reference with little regard to it being hurtfully received. For that, I am truly sorry. I have had nice interactions with you over the years and I hope you will be receptive when attention is called to posts that come across as rude, regardless of intention. We’ve both been around here long enough to know that abrasive posts get abrasive responses. I am not proud of stepping out of character, and I will certainly hold myself accountable and take a few moments to consider if I’m being rude, mean spirited, or nasty before clicking “Submit Reply”. Some recent uploads to get us back on track!
  5. This has made me sadder than I could have expected. Their quarantined cooking tutorials were the highlight of my IG feed, you could just feel warm waves of their love emanating from the screen. And boy did it ever make my day when Susan responded to one of my comments on Helmut’s salad making technique. It’s been some years now, but @DRW50 posted some early ‘70s AMC articles featuring Susan and Helmut. It makes me misty just thinking about them, relatively newlyweds so obviously in love, Liza and Andreas still years away, finding their feet with no clue of the heights this life would take them. And then in those IG videos, seeing them in their huge beautiful kitchen, empty nesters, having the same kind of intimate dinners they surely had 50 years ago.
  6. Honey, your manners leave a lot to be desired, and I realize that you’ve got that Lily Montgomery thing going on, bless your heart wherever it may rest upon the spectrum. But when interacting with folks on this site, please be respectful and eschew catty gestures as they don’t serve you. At all. All of your attempts at being clever and controversial have failed.
  7. I was about to SAY, I know he ain’t playing somebody’s Brick. Well this is interesting casting for Big Daddy. Good for him.
  8. Michael Lindsay-Hogg is actually Geraldine Fitzgerald’s son, but this certainly isn’t the first time these two Geraldines have been confused for one another (including in soap opera publications).
  9. @All My ShadowsI agree, the 20th and the 25th are my favorites. I can’t even bring myself to watch that scene of Bianca reading Mona’s letter. Susan brings me to tears without saying a word. And she looks so damn good! I had taped the week of the 25th so I watched those episodes after school. I didn’t see the 20th until the late ‘90s one Saturday afternoon at the Paley Center in NYC. Sitting in my cozy little cubby watching Erica, Mona, Joe, Ruth, and Phoebe reminisce not far from where the episode was taped was very special.
  10. Maury will also be ending. https://deadline.com/2022/03/maury-canceled-syndicated-talk-show-1234982475/
  11. After Sonny and Chad hugged, there was Sonny sweat all over Chad’s lapel. It looked like a baby spit up. Morgan Fairchild had Chinese paper lantern lighting on The City for a soft glow.
  12. I thought that was so disrespectful to Susan Rogers. Xander and Maggie’s expository dialogue was straight soap parody. Talk Soup fodder.
  13. To be fair, that wouldn’t really make sense as Renee is pretty much just words on a page to Sarah. It’s all in her imagination as she wouldn’t have memories of Renee to be able to emulate her mannerisms. But if LG did choose to pick up on some of PS’s idiosyncrasies, that’s her homework, not up to the BTS creatives.
  14. I am very sad to just be learning of the passing of longtime AMC costume designer, Miss Carol Luiken. She was responsible for the looks of a great many of our cherished Pine Valley memories. When I was a freshman at Marymount Manhattan College, I was blessed to be cast in an Ionesco show. The costume designer was Carol Luiken. I fanboyed when I met her and she was so surprised saying, “NOBODY knows who I am!” I did! She bought me a vintage olive wool suit and had it cut to my frame. When we had my fitting, I quipped, “Uh! I feel like Adam Chandler!” That cracked her up. I ended up transferring to SUNY Purchase and Carol did as well. She was wardrobe supervisor for other shows I did and we’d run into one another and I’d always hold the door for her on her way out even if he she was yards away. I am so glad that I got the chance to meet her.
  15. Thank G-d Robin kept her promise to check in with OLTL before she accepted another role in daytime. We would have missed a lot of great material on OLTL if she had been wasted as Alex. I’m not hard on Marj as others are, but the material was certainly nowhere near what Robin got to play as Dorian at that time.
  16. Yeah, they did Annie Get Your Gun in Colorado when she was 18. Diane Sawyer asked Joan how Applewhite was onstage and Joan said that he was wonderful, had great energy, and you could tell that he really wanted to be there. Joan didn’t sense any struggle within him, but felt that he was isolated.
  17. A FB friend made a post about this the other day and for the sake of his privacy neglected to mention his name which I found just a little annoying. When I saw mentions of "Vincent" in the comments I put two and two together. He sounds like a stand-up guy, too many people would rather not get involved. Praying for his speedy recovery.
  18. It's okay Joseph, really. 😄
  19. Joan Van Ark made a brief appearance via Zoom on last night's 20/20 (re-airs tonight in my area, check your local listings). Many years ago, she did a show with Marshall Applewhite of Heaven's Gate.
  20. They didn’t do one for the actress playing Chanel either and IIRC, that switch happened within a day or two, no on-air gap.
  21. This is my lasting Luis memory. I sing it in my head to this day when my pets (cats included) pull this annoying crap. May he RIP, so thankful I had SS growing up with special long running cast members like Mr. Delgado.
  22. Yeah, her real last name is Camargo (her sister, Felice Camargo subbed for her as Charlotte on GL, and their father, Ralph Camargo was also an actor). Victoria’s son Christian (né Minnick) chose Camargo for his stage name to honor their heritage.
  23. Broderick is correct. David Jacobs wanted Bobby to be even more like Brick, a flawed, tortured, fading golden boy, but he was met with resistance and Bobby became more of a Prince Charming.
  24. I Googled him about a week ago, wondering how old he was. I had just watched him for the billionth time in the infamous dance competition on The Golden Girls. “Yowsa, yowsa, yowsa!” May be RIP.
