  1. And Kudos to MVJ and her entire team because the female voice is loud and clear in the show. From the woman speaking about not being weak, that conversation with Naomi and Bill, to the way the love scene was filmed. The ladies are running the show right now.
  2. What if Hayley and Bill's marriage actually last though?
  3. Another fabulous episode. Loved all the focus on Dani and her girls! I am all game for Dani to have a little fun to help her get over Bill. While I don't find Andre all that attractive. He's okay. Naomi had a great episode. She might be a smart heroine. I am still waiting on that one-on-one with Hayley, and to learn about their history. Chelsea leaving with the guy from the bar. Hmmm. Wildly excited to learn more about Jacob and his family. I come from a similar family only I didn't follow it LOL. Kat is giving me Blair Waldorf. Yeah, I was saying that to myself while watching. It is usually a chore for me to get into soaps at the beginning. Agreed. I really like him. I sorta agree. Waiting it out to notice each of the actor's strengths and hopefully the writer's focus on that too. Same. I tune in for an actor I like and drop it within a month or two. That's exactly who Martin should have been. It just makes more sense to me.
  4. Rest In Peace.
  5. Ep 3 Amazing!!! Each episode gets better and better. A nice little triangle forming between Dani/Bill/Hayley. I love him with both women. The more POVs they get I relate to them. Nicole is black girl excellence /black girl magic, and the regular girls can't handle it. LOL! Soap gods protect my Queen and her beautiful family at all costs. Andre could be hiding from someone. That was a great scene between the working class at the diner. I love them together. The actress who plays Dana has depth. She made the most of all of her little scenes. Theirs a lot of mystery and intrigue surrounding the characters and I love it. Who are the two guys in the car? It's always wonderful to see family meetings on soaps. It really takes me back to the great days. Anita is running the ship, I adore the relationship Papa Dupree has with Dani. We got a Sheila Carter on the canvas. I am a happy soap fan right now.
  6. Debbi would be amazing as Hayley's mother. They are both so beautiful and tiny.
  7. Yes, I agree with you @DRW50 . The AMC reboot did wonderfully give Brooke/Julia Barr place right in the center of things, and engaging storyline before it ended. the way she always should have been written. @alwaysAMC Thank you so much for this update on my unsung hero.
  8. She was on GMA too! ABC needs to just bring the show back at this point.
  9. I am mad I didn't get to watch live. Part 2 of the reunion was wildly entertaining. I laughed and laughed, and laughed! The girls had a ball tugging at Mia’s wig. I quite enjoyed it too. I think the purpose of bringing out Jacqueline was for Mia's backup but she barely spoke a word. She could have stayed at home. Yes, Mia can go.
  10. Good to know. All 3 actually holds my attention more than some of grandchildren.
  11. Today's show was a solid episode. Loads of potential for story directions. Right now, Nicole is my favorite character. She reminds me so much of Brooke English. Ted seems so devoted to her. I am shipping them. I like Bill and Hayley together. Maybe it's good writing, but they don't feel like true bad guys to me. I see the shade of Roger Thorpe! I probably would have changed some of the family tree. Andre should have been Anita’s nephew. And, I wish there was a third sister. Maybe one who wasn't married and enjoys traveling the world and spending the family money LOL. Also, I wish they had a black sheep who was removed from the family. Facts! I am intrigued by Leslie and Eva, and Vanessa.
  12. I thought he said one of them was 16? Same.
  13. Now that I got a better view of it. Martin definitely got it going on back there.
  14. I bet Bill knows all the dirt on the Duprees.
  15. I predict we all will be Hayley fans in 6 months. I am starting to like Bill too.
  16. I am so glad we have a full-figured woman on the show and she doesn't value being married.
  17. I freaking loved it! This was a solid premiere and set the tone. I was hooked from the moment Nicole drove up with classic black music playing in the back. Everything was new but felt familiar at the same time. The core four carried the show no doubt about it. The dialogue was so great, but most importantly it was written with heart. I wanted to cry once, Vernon spoke with Dani. Karla is electrifying in this role. Dani has my heart! I am eager to see what she does with her life after she is done with the revenge. I would love to be a in a family this understanding, and encouraging.
  18. I am glad to hear this. I enjoy her show for the most part. They deserve it.
  19. I have been screaming at my TV about production odd choices all season. Whoever does the editing screws up the show. It is very disjointed. The Karen/Wendy stuff happens so late in the season it shouldn't been spoiled in the first trailer; we end up anticipating it all season just to be letdown.
  20. @All My Shadows I understand what year we are in but when a show prides itself on serving the underserved I would expect them to kick off with something I don't believe we've ever had on any of the other soaps. It feels like a misopportunity to me! Thanks for responding. I'm not sure I want it to come up in the story. I just wanted to know why the creators made that decision. You're right it could. And some do I won't negate that fact! Hopefully, they won't be the only gay couple though.
