  1. Some of it was ageism & some of it was other drama (nothing to do with Redeker or Cooper). The understatement of the year. Though scenes with Leanna would be fun Jill would be better in a stable relationship. Leanna (like Diane) plays better with Nikki & Ashley. Or Gloria.
  2. Not just Jill. Leanna has history with almost everyone (Victor, Nikki, Ashley, Jack, Brad, Diane, John, Gina, Michael, Katherine). She (like Diane) should have never been let go.
  3. Because it was the right thing to do. Any lack of story was due to backstage drama. Leanna should've been back YEARS ago. If anybody should be running Restless Style it's her.
  4. If Arvesen & Brown had been cast in each others roles they would've flopped. She was working at the hospital as a glorified extra & eventually ended up at a party where she flirted with Scott a lot (which is what made Lauren confront her thus beginning their relationship).
  5. Bill initially had plans to use her more with Jill but once he reunited Rex/Kay & John/Jill there was no more room for Leanna which was sad because Barbara Crampton had TONS of chemistry with everyone.
  6. Intially she was only supposed to be a dayplayer but Kimberlin impressed them so much they kept her. She was mainly created almost solely as an antagonist (although one viewers could KIND OF sympathize with) for Lauren (the more established character). Nope.
  7. Not really (outside of major things like the Costume Ball). Mainly because Bill was in the middle of using Sheila in a huge umbrella story which Liv was only a small part of.
  8. It was never really an issue. Bill had a tendency to favor certain actors like with Quinn Redeker (who played 4 characters prior to Rex).
  9. Brown's Robert was involved with JLB & Victoria Mallory (and father to a young Liz Keifer). Mark Tapscott was married to Alison but had a thing for Katherine.
  10. McCook & Evans had been gone from Y&R for almost 20 years by the time they made their appearances. And KKL was an afterthought (in general). Yep. That was Mark Tapscott.
  11. Yep. And it proved Corbett could actually act. Nope. Originally he was meant for Brenda. But once the backstage drama got really bad & she left those plans were dropped.
  12. Pretty much. Heather Tom had chemistry with EVERYONE. The sad thing is that Y&R didn't care.
  13. Not in the way the story would have logically dictated. Victor was never going to really lose but the way he won BY losing was insane. Neither of those was a fight especially since Victor never tried to fight back. However Victor's been in plenty of fights though it's only been since Bergman was cast that Victor became unstoppable. Built a rec center, got Jack fired, ran Jabot into the ground, made friends with Michael, helped end Brad & Ashley's marriage, fought the mob & made up with Victoria & Nick. Michael would've never been paired with Lauren if Heather had stayed.
  14. Somewhat. Y&R was planning on backburnering Victoria anyway. Heather leaving just made them do it faster.
  15. Victor was never going to lose. He was pretty much forgiven by almost everyone by the end of the year. The next year just made it even worse.
  16. It was Y&R's last solid year. Even though the writing was horrible in the second half of the year.
  17. Katherine Vs. Jill Neil & Dru remarry Sharon against the rest of the Newmans Brad & Ashley marriage starts to crumble JT & Colleen Raul & Brittany Larry & Jill Samurai Chemist, Bobby & Fred & Anita were introduced Paul/Cricket/Michael/Isabella Diane/Aunt Jack/Giggly The only bad things were Heather leaving, losing Gina's, the stupid Mother/Daughter twist, the casting of Lily & anything to do with Kevin.
  18. Y&R's last solid year was 2003. After that it was all downhill.
  19. Yep. Because Bergman can only play Aunt Jack.
  20. That's not Joni. It's Helena. Victor bought Ramona a lab for her work & in exchange she had sex with him. Not really. She was pretty, he was horny & it was brief. Her cancer hair was worse. WAY worse.
  21. The soap press was quite negative to Jeanne (and Y&R in general) for a LONG time. It's only been since other soaps started to be canceled & Maria arrived that the soap press has said anything nice about Y&R.
  22. No. But the audience loved Shemar so Bill did everything he could to keep him even when it meant ruining other characters.
  23. She was horrible WAY before that. The destruction began when Diane (like many others) went under the bus for her.
  24. Bill made Keesha sympathetic to destroy Nathan & prop Malcolm.
  25. Victor's relationships with younger women (despite the actresses talents) have always been unpopular. Braeden has much better chemistry with older actresses like Eileen, Alex, Signy & MTS. That & she was never really meant to be a long term character.
