Yet Apatow is silent about Woody Allen. Wonder why?

She was definitely (one of) Jack Smith's obsessions that doesn't mean she wasn't capable of holding her own.

Lauren wasn't Bev McKinsey but she was talented enough to make a stock character (the reformed bad girl with a heart of gold) viable way beyond the characters expiration date. She was also solid (Billy, Bobby) to above average (Raul, JT) in all of her romantic pairings & even served as the foundation for a promising (yet unfortunately shortlived) new core family (The Hodges) before being written off altogether due to budget cuts. That's definitely an overlooked talent.

If Natalia Livingston & Christel Khalil can win Emmys....

Y&R's female talent has always been overlooked. It took Jess 10 years to win two Emmys & it took Jeanne 35 years just to win. Other deserving Y&R actresses like Julianna McCarthy, Tricia Cast, Victoria Rowell, Barbara Crampton, Tonya Williams, Kimberlin Brown, Veronica Redd, Janice Lynde, Alex Donnelly, Ashley Bashioum, Signy Coleman, Tamara Clatterbuck, Lauren Woodland, Jamie Lyn Bauer & Sabryn Genet have been shut out altogether.

Every year Terry was nominated he was up against stiff competition. Had he remained on Y&R into the early 90s he would've had a much better shot at winning a much deserved Lead Actor Emmy.

Because the term is offensive on its own merits. There is no reason to compare it to anything else.

It was a good idea with a botched execution (due to the massive cast upheaval).

She stated she felt burnt out from the rigorous pace of Daytime & wanted a break (which was difficult since she was in such heavy story). Bill wanted her to stay as he had big plans for her (hence her rapid transition from B story vixen to A story antiheroine).

Arvesen left. Bill Bell wanted her to stay.

Who wants Jell-O?

There are a LOT of actresses (many of whom are prominent) who have BC stories but the industry is VERY unforgiving.

He's no more ruined than Woody Allen or Roman Polanski.

Billy Magnussen & Mackenzie Mauzy will be in Disney's Into The Woods in December.

Eric LOVED Terry.

Jerry Douglas was the moral center of Y&R. The show hasn't been the same without him.

John's sticking to his story I see.

John McCook's Lance could be stodgy but he had an air of sophistication about him that made him believable as playboy. Dennis Cole's Lance was Dirk Benedict meets Lee Majors.

Both.

Lorie is still boring. JLB is from the Victoria Wyndham school of overemoting. I've always liked Tom Ligon but I felt then (and feel now) that making Lucas scruffy (to contrast John McCook's stodgy Lance) was a waste. Victoria Mallory is still miscast. Leslie was too important a part to lose (especially at that point) but Mallory lacked Lynde's waif-like quality which affected the story. KT Stevens remains an unsung soap actress who never received her proper due.
