  1. Even Diane (who out of all his ex-wives & loves he arguably treated the worst) was made to grovel at Grambo's feet. The only one who was truthful with him about their relationship was Leanna & he dismissed her as soon as she did.
  2. Their mother was never on the show.
  3. Lance didn't find out he was Brooks father until close to the end of his run.
  4. Leslie was the Brooks sister most likely to get Lance & Lucas (who constantly sacrificed everything for her) to leave Vanessa permanently (who wanted nothing more than to be the only woman in their lives).
  5. Vanessa hated both Prentiss girls but was more willing to work with Lorie (who she despised) over Leslie (who she viewed as the bigger threat).
  6. One of my favorite Prentiss scenes is Lorie making faces at Vanessa through Vanessa's two way mirror.
  7. Not really. They fought (halfheartedly) for less than six months after the "twist" then became Thelma & Ellen Harper for the rest of their time as mother and daughter.
  8. Several of the younger actors & actresses of color who were treated horribly by Daytime have achieved major success in film & television Tika Sumpter (Haves & Have Nots, Ride Along, Sparkle, Get On Up) Michael Jordan (Fruitvale, Fantastic Four, Friday Night Lights, Parenthood, That Awkward Moment) Melissa Gallo (Gossip Girl, Brooklyn Nine Nine) Shannon Kane (Brooklyn's Finest, Madea's Big Happy Family, The Originals) Ernest Waddell (Law & Order SVU, One Tree Hill, Bedford Diaries) Corey Parker Robinson (The Wire, The Red Road)
  9. Phyllis was jealous of Diane because Diane was leaning on Michael. Sandra's Phyllis had been Michael's only support system since his release from prison & didn't take kindly to Michael helping another woman (even one who had no romantic inclinations toward Michael whatsoever). A situation which eventually repeated itself with Grace. Their early friendship was one of the best parts of Sandra's later run (especially once MD left). They were really fun together in a sexy way & it made her eventual betrayal of him that much more powerful
  10. Lauren became a pod person to prop Kevin. From the time she returned to Y&R to the time she broke up with Paul she was the same feisty Lauren (albeit more mature). What she lacked in major story she made up in strong supporting work with a number of characters. However as soon as Jack Smith decided to keep Rikaart Lauren (like so many others) was reduced to permanent prop duty for the little psycho. What makes things worse is Bregman & CLB had developed a nice bit of chemistry in their small scenes which was squandered because all they did for a solid year was wring their hands over Kevin & Gloria's antics which is all BEFORE Jack Smith made Lauren even more of a pod person during that horrible Sheila/Sugar debacle of 2005/2006.
  11. Jeanne NEVER held her tongue.
  12. It was Victor that was to be killed during that story but the audience fell in love with the character so Bill changed plans.
  13. Tricia is still pretty. In fact she's aged better than Lauralee.
  14. She really begins to put her own stamp on Jill during the custody fight with Nina over Phillip.
  15. Alex was fired because Ed wanted to get rid of any threats to MTS & Nikki. He knew he couldn't get rid of Eileen so he chose to fire the easier option in Alex.
  16. There's an 11 year age difference between MTS & HK. But because MTS plays younger they didn't seem implausible as a couple.
  17. There were several scenes where Victor referred to him as a kid to Nikki & Victoria being incredulous of their marriage (with the implication that she saw their relationship as part of a middle aged crisis for Nikki).
  18. They wanted the scandal of an older woman/younger man pairing.
  19. Tika barely got airtime in Daytime. Now she's constantly working in primetime & movies.
  20. Liv doesn't show up until early summer.
  21. One of the worst things about the recast of Victoria (and Heinle in general) has been the dumbing down of the Newman family. There was so much nuance & complexity to their interactions that's been lost post-Alden/Smith.
  22. Nikki being accepting of Sharon doesn't mean she cared for Sharon. It just means she accepted she couldn't change the situation because Nick was an adult who made his own decisions. Victor & Sharon's kiss was never much of an issue for Nikki. It was more of an issue for Nick (in terms of his issues with Victor)
  23. Victoria & Sharon had a complicated relationship. Nikki was rarely more than civil with Sharon during Sharon's marriage to Nick but Victoria & Sharon grew to be (until Sharon disappeared after the Diego debacle) friends.
  24. She was. Katherine was always referred to as Kay or Mrs. Chancellor (except for Nikki who referred to her as Katherine). Other characters didn't begin referring to her regularly as Katherine until after Rex's death.
