  1. He's worked since then but mainly auditions & small stuff (like commercials). Nope. Barton has a lot of personality. Unfortunately that didn't always bode well backstage.
  2. He LOVED Victor/Ashley but once Eileen left so did the majority of the pairing's chemistry. Brenda played a softer Ashley (which wasn't necessarily a bad thing) but Ashley spent most of their marriage confiding in Brad, dealing with Nikki & fighting/mothering Victoria.
  3. Not quite. He was going to keep Scott but Sheila/Lauren totally ruined Scott/Lauren that added to how popular Sheila/Lauren became & an outside agenda was what really did Scott in. Plus even though he and Lauren had good chemistry Tracey probably had better chemistry with Don and Doug. Somewhat. But that was pre-Lauren/Sheila Scott. He still acts though nowhere near as much. Which is a shame given he's quite talented. Scott wasn't boring. He was really good up until Sheila/Lauren pretty much ate all his air time/character development.
  4. Mainly cause by the time Scott died Liv had a TON of issues of her own.
  5. They did that up until the Katherine Is Jill's Mother "twist". After that Jill (aside from a few stressful moments) pretty much left Esther alone.
  6. She was. Esther & Katherine didn't become REALLY close until Clint/Marge happened.
  7. They had PLENTY of scenes together because Katherine (like Douglas) is/was like family to the Newmans. Katherine's relationship with Victoria was a lot like her relationship with Ashley (prior to the Tucker debacle), warm & loving. The will stuff was part Katherine/Esther's growing relationship. The Norman stuff (in a sad but well written twist) came later.
  8. Cause they were major umbrella stories built around major characters (Paul, Cricket) at the time. It's like with Sharon/Billy/Victoria/Adam/Nick/Victor now.
  9. Not at all. Danny/Cricket/Michael was MUCH better plotted & paced.
  10. They were engaged for a LONG time. During which Nina fell for Ryan.
  11. Nope. But then that was pretty much a given.
  12. There was quite a few issues between Dorothy & Bill. The decision to kill the character off was fine but the timing was really bad. The show was changing constantly by that point & Jennifer's death didn't help stabilize it. Bill should've waited a couple of years before doing it.
  13. John always had a lot of respect for Grambo as a self made businessman but never cared for his horrible lack of ethics. Victor deeply respected John but (much like his relationship with Ashley) it constantly came second to his need to destroy Aunt Jack.
  14. Victor/Jack didn't really restart until the coup. The Diane/Dennison/Nick stuff irritated them but it wasn't really war for them again until much later (the coup).
  15. As bad as Y&R is now Cricket eating the show doesn't seem so bad.
  16. Pretty much. Y&R isn't "small town America" like ATWT or GL where those type of stories always work.
  17. No. It would be like Gloria replacing Katherine.
  18. The problem was never Luan or Keemo. Far from it.
  19. They interacted but it was sporadic. Much like the way Y&R's current vets are with each other.
  20. They were just interacting more than they had that year. And Katherine had recently found out about Jill's intentions to marry John. The Phillip stuff was their unresolved issues about Phillip's father.
  21. Katherine & Jill have always (until recently) had a lot of interaction. The irony is Katherine acted the same way when Jill married John the second time too. It took Deborah awhile to settle into the part. Her Jill was much softer than Brenda's. It worked though because Deborah was in the same place (desperately trying to fit in) as Jill was at that point. Everyone called Katherine Mrs. Chancellor (or Kay) back then. And it suited her because she was just (much like Victor) different.
