  1. Yep. The only difference being her Patty was closer to her original Tina in terms of attitude.
  2. Yep. Horribly. Her Patty was basically Tina.
  3. Indeed. And the sad thing is it's NEVER going to change.
  4. Pretty much. And Jill's shift to anti heroine was totally character driven unlike now where characters entire histories are ditched for month long (at best) "stories". Exactly. And it's not even that Braeden stayed that ruined Tucker. It's the complete lack of non Newman stories. If you're not a Newman or Newman in law you're basically treated as useless.
  5. It's HORRIBLE that they've moved away from any real Katherine/Jill involvement. Especially since Jeanne isn't getting any younger, Jess is one of the best actresses in Daytime history, Jill has MAJOR history with EVERYONE & their relationship is the real heart of Y&R. The Tucker story fails mainly because there is no effort (and hasn't been for YEARS) to tell non Newman family stories. If ANY good were to be had from the Mother/Daughter disaster it should've been that Jill became Katherine's rightful business successor making her Tucker's natural enemy. Add in him dumping her & her issues with Ashley & the story writes itself. No. Because Jill wasn't a heroine & hadn't been one for a LONG time prior to Brenda's first exit. But then again that particular statement was basically about backstage drama.
  6. Alison wasn't a psycho just a HUGE bitch (and to be fair Nikki made it EASY). Yep. They had a sweet relationship (until she dumped him for John). Not really. Once Brenda returned she pretty much ignored Deborah's Subtle Jill for her own Alexis Carrington/Erica Kane Jill debacle. It's one of the most important part of Katherine & Jill's relationship. Whenever either of them tries to really move & be truly independent of the other, the other would ALWAYS insert themselves into the other's life. That particular time it was Katherine but Jill's done it too (Rex). They have a sick co-dependence but its also fun.
  7. Yep. Bitchy but not bezerk. They dated but it wasn't secret,
  8. Yep. Sheila was never really funny. Her crazy was played as dangerous (which is why she became popular). Eve & Sheila is like Gloria Monty's GH vs. Claire Labine's GH. Two totally different styles & eras.
  9. Deborah's Jill was interesting. Her Jill is the bridge between Brenda's original Jill & Jess current Jill (with Brenda's Alexis Jill an aberration). After Lorie left Jill became Y&R's female lead (with Nikki.not far behind) It wasn't until Brenda left (the second time) though that Nikki really became Y&R's primary lead. Her first exit was after she & Michael escaped the dungeon. Her second exit came after she had the baby. No. Eve was crazy but her crazy was funny. Sheila was never about (or played for) humor.
  10. It was good mix of camp/darkness Margaret Mason was a lot like Kate Collins Janet from Another Planet & made a fun foil for Grambo (who was still fairly dark). Meg Bennett is LOVE. Her growth was consistently interesting (until Alden regressed her for Grambo). By that point Jamie had gone from realistic to ACTRESS. Lorie went from relatable & genuinely sexy to LOUD & desperate. MTS was actually the exact opposite. She was more like Ilene Kristen's Delia than Kelli Maroney's Kim. And Nikki didn't replace Lorie so much as Jill did.
  11. Bill fell in love with Grambo, "redeemed" him & made Julia his second glorified prop (Nikki being the first). Awhile. After their divorce & her eventual return they were basically even. He confided in her second only to Douglas. Not initially. Toward the end of her second run it was implied she still had some feelings for him but not anything serious. Alden's Victor Prop Parade was a debacle. EVERY LAST WOMAN went under the bus for him.
  12. Not to mention how her "relationship" with Charlie ruined the character.
  13. She should've done Y&R instead of going to OLTL.
  14. Steve Burton a better actor than Scott Reeves?
  15. The musical stuff wasn't stopped. Bill just made it more realistic.
  16. DON'T GIVE MARIA IDEAS CARL!
  17. They were fine. Nothing offensive or patronizing. That didn't really occur until Brenda.
  18. Not really. It was a character based story.
  19. Bill fell in love with Victor.
  20. Backstage drama. Long story.
  21. She wasn't bad she just wasn't Jill.
  22. Lillibet. But the whole thing was dropped due to drama.
  23. Very close. Patty was pretty much an extra.
