  1. Hey, farmers! MAGA! Vote Republican! Amirite?!
  2. I wish I felt more sorry for these farmers. But they probably mostly voted for Trump, and worse, even knowing what they know now, they will probably keep voting Republican. So my sympathy is drying up.
  3. Gabby Giffords' hubby, former astronaut Mark Kelly, is running for Senate to unseat Martha McSally in Arizona. His new ad is awesome. Too bad I can't vote for him as I do not live in Arizona:
  4. Maybe the Trumpkins will let some light into their head where their brains should be when they get sucked dry when doing their taxes. But keep believing your dear leader is for the little person. Idiots.
  5. David Pecker picked a pack of pickled Bezos... And has likely scuttled his immunity deal to hell and back again! Never extort the richest man in America. (REAL wealth!) It will not end well. And do not tell me Donnie is not somehow mixed up in this. Jeff Bezos detonates his own bomb and turns the tables on David Pecker and the National Enquirer/AMI.
  6. Yeah. They were very open about their issues in that joint Soap Opera Weekly interview (done when Lane Davies joined GH as Cameron Lewis). And I think the separation in LD's final year on SB was indeed because of said tension. Hence, why that saying of not schitting where you eat applies. At least they were professional on screen 'til LD left! And at least they seemed to bury the hatchet.
  7. I think, even though Robin Wright was young, Kelly was obviously older. But - maybe aside from Eileen Davidson - the timeline never worked for any actress playing Kelly!
  8. I don't buy the rumor of Terry Lester pushing Lane Davies out. From all accounts, Davies was more than ready to go, what with not being happy with Mason's direction (felt he was becoming too domesticated) and his tension with NLG, etc. The TPTB were dumb, but I think even they realized how popular LD was in the role.
  9. Nope, never saw that show. But thanks for telling me!
  10. So Bethany Joy Lenz covers Sarah McLachlan? That's different. Never knew she sang.
  11. True, but I think CC is worse because, well...that was Gina. Always devious. CC is Mason's father. I just had more of an issue because CC did always seem to view Mason through the "Pamela lens", meaning he was not from his adored Sophia, and Mason always seemed to suffer because of it. As I said, Mason himself was no innocent, but CC certainly didn't make things any easier. But, looking back, I also agree the motivation for that entire dinner is suspect. But if you look at that in a vacuum, it was one of the final interesting scenes that the Dobsons crafted. The rest was a mess.
  12. Yeah. Capwell Dinner in '91 aside, I wasn't a fan of Round 2. As you say, it seemed like the characters regressed. And now we know why. While Mason was no innocent in his rivalry with his father, sometimes CC could be downright hateful. I remember when Mason was trying to tell him that "Suzanne" (the fake one) was Eden and CC just said horrible things about Mason. Only when Cruz backed him up did CC listen. Then he tried to be all joyous with Mason, who told him to go to hell. (They did then have a nice reconciliation scene, but I think it was long past time for Mason to say that.) Also found it all sorts of ironic how much of a cheerleader he became of Mason and Julia upon their remarriage since, during the Tori era, CC most definitely did not approve. (But he seemed to soften long before. Even going so far as to plead with Julia to help Mason once Mason had fallen off the wagon after their divorce. "Capwell fits of sincerity", as she told CC.)
  13. Or let nature take its course for him.
  14. Maybe Trump is Putin in a Trump mask! (That one, not so farfetched these days!)
  15. The odd thing is, the spokesperson does not come out and say it is WRONG. This is the statement: " BuzzFeed’s description of specific statements to the Special Counsel’s Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s Congressional testimony are not accurate ." Now, do they mean the statements are wrong but others things not? It says the "description" is not accurate. It's actually very cagey.
  16. A spokesperson for Mueller - in an unprecedented move - disputes Buzzfeed story about Trump directing Cohen to lie. (Hey, I'm bummed, too. But it is what it is.)
  17. As a L&O: CI fan, I was surprised to see Jamey Sheridan. Had no idea he started out in soaps!
  18. In just 12 hours, this video of AOC's speech regarding the shutdown became C-Span's most-watched video ever of a House member from either party speaking. (Most watched for a senator? Kamala Harris questioning Brett Kavanaugh.) AOC on the wall and the shutdown.
  19. Thanks for the confirmation! Although, being live, it seems weird to have DeVito lip sync to Foley's singing since she can sing herself. Isn't that the point of "live", after all? Oh, well.
  20. I was just going to write about Ellen Foley being the female voice in "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" (not to mention the singer with Meatloaf on all other tracks on the original Bat Out Of Hell - minus the final track, "For Crying Out Loud"). I had read, though, that someone named Karla DeVito had taken over the singing live and I'm not sure if Foley ever sang these live herself. Makes sense if the footage I have seen with Meatloaf live doing "Paradise..." is not her since, if I recall, as Billie on Night Court, she had blonde hair (yes, I know it can be dyed and cut short!) and her face looked different from that concert. The singer in the concert footage had brown curly hair.
  21. Ric became involved with Harlan Richards' daughter, Tawny. (And, IMO here, had absolutely zero chemistry together.) Once they discovered they were half-brother and half-sister, they broke up and Ric quietly left town. Like I said, I really liked Ric/Kelly. Once Robert/Quinn ended, I wish they had been revisited. Oh, well.
  22. Got treason? Trump has concealed face to face encounters with Putin, including taking possession of and likely destroying all notes by the interpreter. And having no official record for the meetings. A no no for a president to do.
  23. Well, it certainly didn't help (IMO!) that Carmen Zapata was ushered off suddenly and replaced with Karmin Murcillo for Ric's daddy story. Why would anyone care that this sudden recast was lying about Ric's paternity? I get Carmen was de-aged for this story, but if you had to go through all sorts of hoops to sell it, maybe it wasn't meant to be told to begin with.
  24. But the taxpayers will pay another $5 BILLION. That doesn't seem like a solution to me. Give in to a narcissist once and they will keep upping the ante. And even if Trump does declare an emergency (where none truly exists now, mind you!), no way will this NOT be tied up in the courts for years, anyway.
