Even partisan stooge says Trump's intimidation tweets are digging a hole for Orange Menace. It's been a good day for the white hats.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Oooh, that was a good scene! (Just watched it.) Before my time, but it was nice seeing real drama and acting. Even if the set was horribly of its time with the red shag carpeting. But the story made me forget that easily. And I see Isabella dying in John's arms is uploaded there, too. Sigh.

Thankfully, my state - and all but one of my state senators (I think, there could be one more, maybe) - are Dems. But the lone (?) Republican, Elise Stefanik, also was in lockstep with the criminal cabal that is the GOP and was a huge bitch. Because, naturally. I guess it is only okay to impeach Democratic presidents that lie about consensual sex. But extortion for aid? Digging up dirt on political rivals? (Illegal any way you look at it...) "A sham impeachment!" the GOP rages. Why, that's "undermining the president". The GOP needs to go the way of the Whigs and become extinct. They are an enemy political party of democracy now.

As I said, I will vote Dem regardless of the nominee, but I still believe Elizabeth Warren can't win. Hope I'm wrong! Because I cannot take four more seconds of Trump, let alone another four years.

Roy Moore just wanted a recount, didn't he? This POS seems to want to use the legislature to fight his corrupt battle. In any case, I hope this fails.

Bevin, the sore loser, looks to be readying a little coup of his own by way of the KY legislature. So much for democracy and the power of the vote! https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/06/us/bevin-kentucky-recanvass.html

In today's Trump "policy" (and I use that term ironically) face plant, his great, big beautiful border wall? Breached by Mexicans with power tools. Thanks, Home Depot! And more money down the tubes. Read about the latest failure here!

Buttigieg cannot win. As mentioned, he has no support from black voters and, unfair or not, like it or not, the Bible Belt WILL NEVER accept a gay president. And Kamala Harris has most definitely lost steam. I fear Elizabeth Warren is still going too far left, and while the polls still have him doing okay, I think the Ukraine hoopla has stained Biden. I sure AS HELL do NOT want Bernie Sanders. How I wish we had a dynamic candidate pop up.

Look who will be on 60 Minutes on Sunday, none other than NRA Russian whore, er...asset, Maria Butina! As she is home in Russia, I expect a spectacle of lies that Donnie and his boyfriend, Putin, would be proud of! https://deadline.com/2019/11/maria-butina-60-minutes-interview-russia-1202774967/

True, but as the current Supreme Court's decision basically threw such decisions back to the states, this appears final. At least, all the write ups on this seem to state that. So, at least here, that punt may finally lead to some fair elections in NC, assuming the Republican Party won't cheat again as it did last year. (And got caught. But I can see them doing it again with this decision since the GOP hates voting rights and a fair democratic process.)

A 3-judge panel has finally ended gerrymandering in North Carolina, throwing out the Republican-drawn 2020 map for egregious violations. The Republican Party admitted the map was gerrymandered as such to retain 10 of the 13 seats. https://t.co/TxNtNwDw2m?amp=1

I know Roberta Bizeau was fired. However, Flame was recast. I forget the name of the recast actress. But next to Bizeau, that "Flame" played like Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm and she quickly did a fade. I'm not sure if the second actress was meant to just finish things off or if she was supposed to be permanent, but Flame went from sizzle to fizzle under the recast and that was that. By the way, based on everything I had ever read about Paul Rauch, he was a complete piece of crap, so I'm inclined to side with Roscoe Born, even if I'm not privy to the details of their conflict.

Santa Barbara Discussion Thread
I think - against Cruz and Eden - that Mason/Julia, all three versions - were underrated. They were a very different animal from the fantasy ideal of Cruz/Eden, being more cerebral and with a lot more warts, yet they managed to be almost as popular, even with two Mason recasts. And I agree, as far as Gina/JD's Keith are concerned, that a somewhat villainous, yet humorous pairing, also brought an important element to the show. Of course, it was Justin Deas' choice to leave, just as it was Marcy Walker's later, and John Novak's version of Keith didn't work. So I think the show was very hit/miss in terms of what worked outsode of Cruz/Eden. Once C/E were done, I think the familiarity and the stability of Mason/Julia - again, even recast - allowed them to take up the slack, if just a little. I still believe firing Carrington Garland was a huge mistake and one the show never came back from. Because, without Eden, I think CG's Kelly would/could have easily helped fill the void, since she had sparks with practically everyone. Too bad the Robert/Quinn story devolved into a massive mess and killed Robert. Because IMO? I think CG's Kelly and Robert proved to be just as popular as Eden/Robert, to TPTB's surprise, and with Cruz/Eden no more, I think Kelly/Robert and Mason/Julia (along with CC/Sophia, etc.) could have weathered that loss much better. And, as much as I hated that Karen Moncrieff's Cassie never really paid for sabotaging Mason/Julia, I think she could have worked with Warren had the dumb writers not made her a long-lost kid of too-young Minx. Or hey, if not them, keep Warren with Angela. They also sparked. Instead, we got Warren and drippy BJ. In other words, there were many opportunities the show could have used to weather the loss of Cruz/Eden, but TPTB - and I include the Dobsons - sabotaged those very chances/opportunities at every turn, to the point where cancellation became inevitable.

So, two years younger, which makes the Dobsons' argument that Carrington Garland was "too young" patently ridiculous!

Santa Barbara Discussion Thread
I have said before that, upon round #2 of the Dobsons' return, that they seemed to want to pick up from where they had left off, in 1987. However, like it or not, and I realize they didn't, time and the characters marched on. So trying to shove the characters back into the roles the Dobsons had made for them by and large no longer worked. And their inexplicable firing of Carrington Garland was a huge mistake, using some dumb excuse that Kelly should be more mature/hardened after all she went through (mostly ironically under Robin Wright, who I believe was actually a year younger than Garland was when that stuff played out). Eileen Davidson is a fine actress, but Kelly she never, ever was. And trying to recreate the Eden/Kelly dynamic with sudden house guest Katrina was a huge fail. (I also recalled an interview where Bridget Dobson hinted that GT's Mason would become enchanted by Katrina, as she would remind him of Mary.) The Dobsons had to accept that the Mason/Mary fans likely would not want a substitute and the mistake of killing Mary was done. And they also had to know that Mason/Julia fans would have none of it, either. I have no idea who stepped in or what happened, but that Mason/Katrina deal never happened and thank God. Gordon Thomson looked like Maria Ellingsen's father. Of course, saddling Katrina with rapist Dash Nichols and being his ardent defender to the Capwell family ended up doing her no favors, either.

Not surprised that drunk f-u-c-kface Matt Gaetz spearheaded the disruption. Not surprised Republicans are now whining about closed doors when that was the ROUTINE procedure when the GOP controlled all three branches. Also not surprised these Republicans brought their electronics into a secured area, which is illegal. But, most of all, I am sadly not surprised that Democrats let these pieces of s-h-i-t get away with it and didn't have the Sergeant at Arms arrest them, which should have been done.

Ratings from the 80's
Wasn't "Loving" ABC owned versus "Ryan's Hope", which I think was perhaps partially owned by the Labines? (I think I recall ABC did buy the latter later?) If so, I can see, even if I don't agree with it, why ABC had a preference for "Loving".
