  3. This is so wonderful.

  5. All those people who were apoplectic on Dominic’s behalf yesterday regarding the suspension of play were wasting their breath. He has spoken. Such a good gif of the surprise men’s doubles champions celebrating their win.
  6. Paul Unterleitner from Vienna, Austria
  7. Hopefully she handles the spotlight better than Sam Stosur. I love Naomi and Petra can be fun, but this is a largely uninspiring group.
  8. Good for Ash on winning her first Slam title, but this had no stakes. Just a shrug-worthy tournament. Probably the worst in recent memory if we’re considering both the men’s and the women’s sides. For the women, all of the stars crashed and burned early. The men were hampered by piss-poor scheduling.
  9. This match is a snooze.
  10. Novak played an absolutely baffling match, so the right player won. Now Thiem has to come back within a day to play a fresh Nadal.

  13. If Luann, Ramona, and LVP are all gone, that might be the end of HWs for me. Hmmm.

  15. At least a handful of people are offering apologies.
  16. And also: She’s Nolefam, but that doesn’t make her statement any less true.
  17. I see that journalists are slandering Novak and claiming he just bounced without permission. Must be a day that ends in “y.”
  18. Wow.
  19. Barty/Vondrousova final. Konta came completely undone, and I suppose Anisimova wasn’t as ready for the moment as Vondrousova apparently was.

  21. So Ash was up 5-0, then Amanda won SIX straight games to serve for the set. Dropped serve, but then Amanda came back from 2-4 down in a TB to win the first set. Scenes.
