One Life to Live Tribute Thread
TBH, I'm not sure I would've liked Joey or Kevin coming out of the closet. One of the many misconceptions about gay men is that they tend to come from homes with domineering mothers and little to no male influence. Although Clint essentially raised Viki's sons, all you would need is for some narrow-minded homophobes out there to bring up the fact that their biological father (Joe Riley) had long since died before things would get messy, onscreen and off.

I ask y'all: did you ever catch Michael Zaslow smirking his way through scenes? Or Larry Bryggman? Or even Drake Hogestyn? My advice to Chandler Massey remains the same: the only way to stop smirking through scenes is to stop judging them to begin with (and yes, you are judging them, or else you'd stay in the moment and not stifle laughs like you're in a [!@#$%^&*] SNL sketch). You're not being asked to critique the material you're playing, only to play it.

Listen, I don't make it my business to judge anyone. (Although, the Bible DOES instruct us to judge each other according to the Word, and that all of us shall judge the angels in Heaven). But, if you are one who professes to be a Christian, as Steve Burton professes himself to be, then you can't just quote the Word, or quote just the parts that you think support your choices. So-called "evangelical Christians" pull that crap all the time, which is why this country and this world are in the shitty state that they're in. If you QUOTE the Word, then you have to LIVE the Word as well, because that's what God holds you accountable to. Otherwise, you are no better than the Pharisees; and anyone who knows even a smidge about the Scriptures should know how Jesus Christ felt about the Pharisees, lol! The same God that told Steve Burton to keep his shirt on for love scenes is the same God that is telling him now that it doesn't matter if he and Ms. Lundstrom are engaged. One, they should NOT be living together out of wedlock; and two, he shouldn't be living with ANY woman who is not his first wife, and who remains his wife according to the Scriptures. The fact that his ex committed adultery allows for the two to divorce, but it does not allow for either to remarry so long as one or the other remains among the living. Point blank, period. Oh, and one more thing, Steve? That tattoo sleeve you've been sporting since your divorce? Yeah, God isn't pleased about your doing that to yourself either.

Quoting Scripture in one breath, living in sin in another. If there's one thing your God will not tolerate, Mr. Burton, it's a [!@#$%^&*] hypocrite. Oh, and by the way? You're still married to your first wife in the eyes of God. Have a nice day.- Ratings from the 1990s
"Matlock" would return, of course, but not on NBC, lol. Personally, I liked "Carol & Company." Not every episode was great - that's just the nature of doing a weekly anthology series - but I thought the premise was different (but not TOO different) and the cast was strong. On the other hand, I get what Carol Burnett meant when she talked about how grueling the show was for her to do. I love how they always refer to "Flesh 'n' Blood" as being "from the producers of 'Cheers'." The truth is, only two people from "Cheers" had worked on the show (three, if you count James Burrows, who directed an episode); and one of them (Tim Berry) was the line producer.- DAYS: March 2025 Discussion Thread

Why invest in new movies and shows for that purpose when "According to Jim" reruns can meet the same need at a much cheaper cost?- BTG: March 2025 Discussion Thread

You're welcome! And you're right, too, about LOVING and their ability to cast exceptionally attractive men. Too bad ABCD never thought to launch a "Loving the Men on LOVING" ad campaign. Who knows? It might've helped their ratings, lol!- ARTICLE: ‘Beyond the Gates’ Splashes In Debut, ‘The Young and the Restless’ & ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Hit Season Highs Among Key Demos
That's probably because no one on "The Talk" ever provoked any meaningful discussions about anything. I've answered quizzes in AARP Magazine that were more controversial than anything discussed on "The Talk," lol.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread

I'm not sure, but I think that was Mark Kiely, who has appeared in a bunch of shows over the years, including "Beverly Hills, 90210," where he played one of the teachers at West Beverly High.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
