Ratings from the 80's
I noticed that, too. The same could be said for DAYS in the mid 90's when they suddenly became the No. 2 soap because others around them (GH, AMC, B&B, etc.) fell harder in the OJ era.

Dang, B&B beat GL right out of the gate. GL slipped way down that week.

B&B October 2023 Discussion Thread
That "outdoor" restaurant set for Deacon looks awful. Like, DAYS awful. B&B can usually do better. Is this supposed to be the same restaurant they used to actually film outside for (on the rooftop)?

Days of our Lives 10/9/2023 Promo
GH definitely uses a filter, I'd say in post-production. It looks ridiculous IMO.

Days: Rumor of yet another character switcheroo for existing actor...
We all know DAYS is notorious for reusing old actors in new roles. But the frequency of the turnover has gotten ridiculous. When you're talking Renee Jones, Judi Evans, and even the mumbling owl known as Josh Taylor, you had a good ten years in between roles. Now you can't even get ten days. I don't watch GH, but haven't they gotten ridiculous too? With the former OLTL'ers? I haven't kept up.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I definitely agree about Mia. In this current era of Housewives, most new castmembers don't really pop anymore. So even if they're mediocre, they get to stick around for multiple seasons (see: Potomac's Mia, and even Wendy, BH's Crystal, ATL's Sanya, etc.) Yes, I see y'all's point about Potomac being a tired rehash versus the other returning shows. They are familiar faces but they're starting to hit their expiration dates. However, Potomac's enduring strength is that most of the core women really have known each other for years, even before the show (and I'll include Charriisse's tired ass with them), so while some rotation is needed to keep the show fresh, then we get into the alternate option of having fake friends forced to hang out for a TV series. Catch 22. Also, much like Salt Lake City, new castmembers for Potomac have been lukewarm or duds, save for Candiace. I actually think SLC is in one of the worst shapes of all the Housewives shows because their cast is full of Basic Bettys.

DAYS at a solid #3 but more so because all the others around them have dropped so drastically. This year really saw a steady decline for the top half. Another World has managed to buck the trend so far.

One question remains: Will Theresa have an accent now? 😂

Around 11/10/86... on GL, I believe this was when Reva/Kyle's wedding got interrupted by Maeve, and later Josh returned and appeared to Reva after she got hit by a truck while wandering outside (on location).

That is the absolute dumbest thing they could've done. Jeezus, where's Charity Rahmer when you need a quick pinch hitter?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Brought to you by Ozempic. I'm here for The Fall of the House of Umansky. Yes, we'll get the usual "oh woe is me / pity me and my innocence" theatrics from Splits Richards, but it will still be delicious to watch unfold. Rinna who? Dang, Lips was hoping RHOBH would be a snoozefest without her. Considering it was rumored to be a ho-hum season until the Kyle/Mauricio news broke, I wonder if anything worthwhile will end up getting scrapped altogether. Dorit's "story" is the post traumatic stress of last year's robbery. Hey kitty gurl, you may be on your 9th life with this series. [My prediction for 2024: Dorit and PK will "break up" or there will be "an affair" or something of that nature to keep her on the show] Crystal is still there. Okay. Sutton, who also looks thinner this year, showed up to work and continues to stir the pot and call a bitch out. Me likey. And there's always Garcelle to co-sign. Erika mentioning Denise Richards' $7 Onlyfans bundle, yet her Las Vegas show tickets can currently be purchased for as little at $7.00. Irony! Her only redemption is her weight loss; not exactly personal character growth. That said... I'll be watching! LOL RHOBH's real-life dramas is what prevents this show from becoming too stale or long in the tooth. I don't think any whisperings of rebooting this franchise will pop up anytime soon.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Agreed; she is awful, obnoxious, thirsty, worst of all, she really thinks she's "someone." I'll gladly take newbie Monica over plastic microwaved Sarah Paulson. And yes, Little Girl is just as bad. The desperation at stirring up conflict and trying to call out hypocrisy is so obvious it's cringeworthy. Now that we know a little more about what Meredith is referring to, I can understand her going from zero to 180 in a split second. Because last week, when she randomly burst out about how there are children who will be disabled forever because of an argument with Angie, I was laughing hysterically. Her rant was so out of left field. Lisa and the glam... Lawd... Monica is correct about her being tone deaf, but it's still funny how Lisa's in her own bubbly world of fabulosity. Miserable Mary refusing to go to any event is hilarious. Hey, she's not a castmember; she's obliged to do NADA. Go on and get your Mickey D's. We'll sit back and enjoy listening to you talk to yourself. I still like Heather. Sue me Side note: Trixie Mattel wouldn't be my first choice drag star to judge a make-up competition, I'm just sayin'...

Just outta curiosity, when did the infamous Henderson flood of Search for Tomorrow air? Around February/March? If so, it didn't do much for them.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Agreed; it's too bad Potomac wasn't ready to fire off right after Atlanta ended. @NothinButAttitude Besides NuNYC and SLC, we also still have OC! It's currently just SLC & OC in my house. I actually just happened to watch the most recent NuNYC and I still can't warm to this group. The flirty drunk reminds me of Molly Burnett from her DAYS days.

DAYS: Former Character & Their Actor Returns
Yeah, I would've thought he'd pop up around 2014... I think that's when ED's Susan first returned after a 15+ year absence.

Nice healthy numbers sustained through February. It seems there would be many times at least through the end of the 90's that we'd see higher numbers for most of the soaps in January and February, due to massive snow storms, particularly on the east coast that meant lots of people staying home from work and school.
