  1. Just don't make that reference in front of Kyle.
  2. Perfect recap Cat. I loved the dinner table set up at Lisa's party. The colors, the centerpieces, the hanging crystals, everything. Another Yolanda-free event. On one hand, I wish she was in attendance for more events, but on the other hand I love that she doesn't let silly events for Real Housewives tapings get in the way of her real life. Kim not there again. Oops, a dig from Lisa about that, which surely means Kim will be crying about it at the reunion. "Boo hoo, nobody wants their tea leaves read by a psychic!" Poor Kyle and her awesome party ideas rejected. Brandi's book editor is my favorite kind of bitch.
  3. Carlton is the biggest hypocrite. Complaining about a 3/4ths nipple joke when she first met Kyle yet she has tits and vag all over the place at her outdoor party/orgy. She was looking for an excuse to fight. Comical when you think about it; I laughed at the sheer ridiculousness of the whole thing.
  4. YES!!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one. Sonja's harmless, but she IS messy. I think what I notice most about her messiness is that she tries WAY too hard to make everything into a sexual innuendo or to perceive herself as this huge sexual being. I noticed this a lot while recently rewatching some of season 4. It was much cuter and natural in her first year (S3). When I first started watching NYC and only saw Season 4, I thought Alex's tagline of, "To a certain group of people in NY, status is everything," I thought she was speaking ironically, almost to poke fun at others. And then I saw the first two seasons and I was SHOCKED, haha, at their uppity wannabe ways. I think my favorite was when they were looking through the society pages and they saw themselves, and Alex is all nonchalant saying, "It's always nice to be photographed". I liked watching her because you could always tell that she LOVED whenever she was actually being included in something or finding herself in the middle of controversy (being the messenger for Bethenny to Jill, Ramona being upset with Jill in Morocco). Alex always entertained me in a "point-and-laugh" kinda way.
  5. I know it's been lamented before, but it bears repeating since we're discussing it again... I don't think NYC's Season 5 numbers would have dipped so drastically had they properly transitioned the new season. They didn't even bother to do a "last season..." recap at the start of the premiere episode. Granted, 57% of the previous season's cast was gone and therefore irrelevant, but they could've at least recapped the Ramona, LuAnn, Sonja stuff, and briefly touch upon some of the other people like Jill and Alex. And to pretend like Carole, Heather, and Aviva had always been there, without a proper intro to their lives, family, home, etc. just felt incomplete. The first handful of episodes were mostly uneventful too. I dunno. What's done is done. I understand Alex McCord's reasoning that she didn't want to return as a "Friend of" while still basically doing the same amount of work with less pay, but it definitely would've helped the show. I do think they're going to bounce back this season. There's anticipation for them to return, whereas before people seemed generally uninterested in them. It helps that Beverly Hills is a dud this year, and New Jersey's last season was the same old dreck. Housewives viewers are ready for something that feels more fresh, and NYC hit their stride with the new ladies towards the end of last season, so I have a feeling they're going to gel really well this year. Plus, you've now got Ramona and her real-life drama, and even the drama surrounding LuAnn being downgraded but still heavily featured... I think they'll end up doing better than Beverly Hills is currently doing. Will they hit Scary Island numbers? Eh, we'll see where the season takes us. They better promote the hell outta that leg....
  6. Yeah, Kelly's returning for one episode in a scene with LuAnn. I'm cool with that. It's nice that a former castmate will appear. But I'm guessing it won't be a big deal like when they promoted Dina's return to New Jersey. It'll be more like a Lisa Wu in the background or one of the many OC'ers. It's awkward how these ladies' real-life traumas help build momentum for a TV show. I think they should keep Ramona/Mario scenes in tact as originally planned. It makes it all the more interesting to watch to see the cracks in their relationship and to view the overall fakeness and the putting on of a show for the sake of the cameras.
  7. I would totally welcome Jill back. She's one of those that I love to hate, in spite of myself. And I like her family. Yeah, season 4 was very toxic and negative, but overall there was a chemistry between all the ladies. (But I'll NEVER wish for Kelly to return!)
  8. He's definitely gorgeous for an older fella. They both look hella good for their age! Pinot does wonders! I feel bad for her. It's ironic how a silly fortune teller story is actually correct. I wonder if the affair was already happening at the time season 4 was filming. Considering that Ramona thought it was weird/hypocritical for LuAnn to be pretending to be in a loving relationship with Alex while they were about to divorce, I'm thinking Ramona/Mario were still solid at that point. But, what do I know...
  9. Yeah. I felt that while watching a cliffhanger ending of one housewife allegedly putting a hex on the other's husband because he got a bad cold. Sigh. This, Kim's dog, Brandi's dog, and Kyle's insta-Jew story is making for one sucky season.
  10. "Crusty Celine" I don't know why I find that so funny, LOL! My biggest LMAO moment of last week's episode was hearing the doctor explain Benny's condition with 6th grade terminology: "He's on a breathing machine." Breathing machine!! We watched that over & over. The outside set of the Cryer mansion looks like a giant playhouse. The Crusty Celine / Bootleg Sally scene was telling. There's NO way Crusty would still be employed there with the way she talks and the fact that she's No. 4 unless she has something on them or there's some secret agreement.

I liked her show on OWN, but you're right, it had identity issues. The fact that Russell Brand was her first guest was not a good sign. It went from having a studio audience, band, announcer, game show, etc. to being an intimate one-on-one adult interview with a background set that resembled a kindergarten classroom. It just clashed terribly. But there were some great moments in her short-lived show. One of my favorites was how they showed how chummy Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller and her "nemesis" Kathy really are, and how it's all just for the show, as is that dumbass pyramid.
  12. So yeah.... what a lot to catch up on here! NeNe was stirring the pot. It seemed Bravo-coaxed, if you ask me. Was she on something? I wouldn't be surprised. She was off. What disturbed me was Apollo. The Christopher guy should NEVER manhandle a woman like that and Apollo mercilessly beating on a gay man who did absolutely nothing wrong was disturbing and wrong. Nothing that Phaedra and her smushed up boobs can say will excuse what he did. AND..... in other Real Housewives news. According to Reality Tea, NYC's Ramona and Mario are apparently separated! And there was a [non-physical] fight at their Southampton home. They've been separated for awhile, even though they put on a happy family front. Mario is with the woman who he knocked up, while Ramona is apparently dating a 20something man. Whaa??? Sounds like a Season 7 storyline is already set!
  13. Indeed! Just goes to show you what a bunch of shady hypocrites so many of them are. Let's see Phaedra spin this... P.S. Tsk, tsk, Apollo... such a beautiful man. Oh well. There's always the memory of Ed Hartwell
  14. For real. I can only hope she has extremely hot guys at her party, but I know she's not into weiner.
  15. Surprisingly, I have an older friend who always posts about how this is the best show on TV. I pray (no pun intended) she's kidding but I know she's not. She's a woman of prayer just like Hannah. God-fearing folk who are always praying up a storm always love when they're represented on TV. Still have to watch Tuesday's. I am surprised at what a minor role Tika has taken this season. Bad move.
  16. Haha, Kaftans R Us... is that a new store she's opening up with Katherine Kelly Lang?
  17. I vote Yolanda as MVP on tonight's show. I thought she offered great support to Brandi and like how she talked her up to Brandi's father. Lisa's titties looked nice on display! She looks fantastic in comparison to some of her cast members who are 10 years younger. I liked the frank discussion between Brandi, Kyle and Lisa at the end. Brandi's right about the Queen Bee competition. I was half-paying attention to Carlton's scenes. Is she hosting an orgy next week? I'm assuming she'll be in a group with all those girls while her husband is banging a go-go boy.
  18. Cheap! That Marlo signature! LOL Did you make that or find that somewhere? It's adorable
  19. Sheree really brought the hate and jealousy against NeNe. It's no surprise that the Talls vs Smalls (season 4) ceased to exist after SheBroke & Wig left. The rifts between Phaedra/Kandi vs NeNe was very minuscule. Although ATL's best season will always be Season 3 for me, their cast shakeup from S4 to S5 was minor enough to still feel like the same show, but made the necessary changes to keep it fresh and not dwell on the same hatred again (hi, New Jersey!) I LOVE Wendy Williams laughing at the leg!
  20. I particularly liked when the bad acting father asked the minister (he was a minister right?) how his grandchild was doing, and he very casually was like, "Oh he dead." This show... LOL. Sigh... Train wreck. BTW there is no such thing as a "borderline" schizophrenic. Must be a special soap opera illness.
  21. The Dinner Party from Hell, the extended cut is well worth the purchase of Season One on DVD
  22. I TiVo'ed Bethenny yesterday to see Taylor on, and yeah, I miss her looney tunes lips and all that she has to offer. She was wacky in just the right dosage. I could see them welcoming her back next season and make it seem legit ("I'm back from Colorado, y'all!") This past Monday's episode was the first time watching BH where I wanted to peace out and watch the rest later. Anything Kim-focused is duller than dirt.
  23. DEAD. That conjures up an adorable image in my head. Love that this thread has has reverted back to NYC. I hope they'll successfully rebound. The 2nd half of season 5 proved that this group of ladies can stir up a lot of fun and drama. But like others mentioned, the editing and the way they introduced us to the beginning of the season really sabotaged the possibility of starting off strong. At some point, we will see cray cray Kelly in a scene with LuAnn. There was rumor that Ramona and Sonja had a falling out. I wonder if it's true and if they patched things up by the end of filming. Sonja would be lost on this show without being Ramona's kooky partner in crime.
  24. Ditto! And thanks for the gifs galore! She's got the facial expressions for excellent gif opportunities
  25. LOL tired ass. She was such a miserable ho. I could just imagine her being friends with BH's Carlton. The two would sit together in the corner judging others and rolling their eyes. Although Carlton has a fun kinky side in the bedroom. Cindy just needed some.
