It always seems to come down to actors not syncing their departures. I was just so confused as to why the show thought Trisha leaving with her kidnapper/stalker was the best exit. Although I think she returned a few times after. I'm intrigued to do a deep dive into Maria. Thank you both!

I love that you're in the early days of Manny. I think they were the best before it got cartoonish. So, I was watching the final episode of OLTL a few weeks ago and YouTube recommended the final episode of Guiding Light which I never saw. After watching it, the finale reinforced why I gave up on the show. Did they even try? It felt like every character had a random kid who I didn't know (or care about), a happily ever after at a baseball game, Manny cameo, Dinah and Mallet for even less screentime and it wraps up with Reva and Josh. But then I don't want to judge too harshly because at least fans got everything tied up and the show didn't have much to work with.

I can't get past this. 😂 The chemistry and the story just isn't there for me. The last full episode I watched seemed to be a bottle episode about Adam. I was bored listening to Sharon and Nick narrate all that's gone wrong in his life and how much better he is now. I was half paying attention. So, maybe it moved the story forward but this Matt Clark stuff is such a bust. And I don't care about Jack being on a submarine. Where are the young leads driving story?

I can't believe this was actually a scene. Writers, what are we doing? Michael/Jacinda/Kristina could be a juicy story, but not the Q's having a freak out over Michael's sex life. Olivia was the worst. I don't get why she's still on the canvas. Emily and Georgie get killed off, but she's still around all these years later with no purpose. Olivia can take Britt with her and GO. As for a Spencer recast, I don't think it will happen until Trina is off the canvas. The writers clearly don't care about developing her character and Kai was only introduced to check a box. The end goal for Spencer is to pair him with one-note Joss, IMO. Also agree that the show is only focused on Charlotte and her fixation on Valentine. Baby Helena's love for her dad comes off weird while she continues to treat Lulu like crap. The show will never invest in the Cassadines the way they did when Stefan and Nikolas arrived in town in 96. Those were two glorious years of writing and acting before it went downhill.

Thanks for the tag @DRW50 A few weeks ago, I was googling the backstory on Trisha and Trucker (I don't get why they didn't get a happily ever after). Ally/Cooper/Steffi and Ava were some of my favorite characters when I started to watch and of course, The Loving Murders. That actress in the scenes with Andrea Evans (RIP) looks so familiar. I can't think of her name or her character.

Jasmine Burke is in the new season of Tyler Perry's "Beauty In Black" as Gina. I'm on episode 4, and she is far from June. She looks absolutely stunning too. I swear, Tyler Perry has issues, but he's got me watching this messiness.

Emme was badly miscast as Lulu. I love her as an actress and she's fun on social media. She was great as Lizzie on GL and Abby on Y&R but a total misfire on GH. AH has chemistry with everyone and can act! I'm also glad they finally have AH's Lulu in a romance. Or whatever is going on with Nathan. I still think GH played it wrong by not having Dante and Lulu have any kind of lingering attraction to each other but I guess they're saving Dante for BLQ or Liz.

It's so OTT now. If BLQ had any kind of personality other than trad wife, I'd let it slide. But she is such a bore and always wears 10 layers of clothes, even in bed with her husband. Count me in as someone else who doesn't get this overwrought goodbye to Jason because he and Britt need to get out of town. I can't believe I want Guza back but at least he kept my interest most of the time. GH is still more entertaining than any other show on the air, but it's losing some steam for me. Liz and Ric still have their chemistry. I'll take what I can get with those two. Surprised Nathan and Lulu hooked up already. They've really pushed past the beats with those two. But then again, he doesn't come off like he gives a single damn about Maxie.

A complete missed opportunity. Bold finally got something right and interesting....and it feels all for nothing. I definitely don't care about Elektra, Dylan, and Will. This story was the only reason why I decided to give the show another chance. As for Katie, it's about time she started reminding Brooke that she's a homewrecker. But I don't like how Bill seems to get a pass. Brooke didn't hold him down and have her way with him.

Agree with all of this. Jackee is painful to watch, but she's entertaining in real life. She's very limited and one-note on screen, and Paulina is one of the reasons I gave up on DAYS. Just cartoonish for no reason and taping 100 years ahead doesn't help. All of her worst acting tics came out on DAYS. She was more restrained, and her comedic timing was more effective on Sister, Sister. And yes, I wish people cared more about their teeth. It's a pet peeve of mine.

There was an attack at a Jewish synagogue in Michigan and a fatal shooting in Virginia. Can someone explain where Jason is going? I missed that part. I only saw the scenes after where he and Carly were being melodramatic about it. I guess this is how he's written off because Jason said he didn't know when he'd be back.

I stopped watching the show regularly in 2007, but Google says that they hooked up/or he was sexually harassing her and that the story wasn't any good. Not surprised. I actually just watched the episode when AM returns in 2005. He almost hits Marina with his car, and then it turns flirtatious. If I hadn't read here that he was once thought to be her dad, I wouldn't have given it a second thought. But it's so gross. I'm a hypocrite because I loved Jammy, but at least those two didn't grow up together.

Ava was egregiously bad. Beyond. I've always felt she was a poor man's replacement and her intro to the show was just ridiculous. Why would Jonathan pay a $3K debt for a random girl he just met? Like, he just gave the loan shark all the cash. Then she was Sandy's secret wife, Olivia's daughter and then went into her bad girl era by hooking up with Bill. I don't remember if she made it to the end of the show. All I know is that she should've never been part of the show, but alas, she's also forgettable.

That's a good point. GL kept taking Cassie's kids from her, but then you had Reva getting a new kid every few years. Her San Cristobel kid, Will, did return as a mini psycho. I think he was a 7-year-old terrorizing Springfield, and maybe killed Edmund. I saw some clips and lost interest. Laura Wright saw the writing on the wall and got out of there. Although, I wish she could've played the scenes of grieving Tammy's death. She was such a Momma bear in that role and that underdog heroine who had chemistry with almost everyone. I'm surprised Laura never won any Emmys for her role as Cassie.

You're right. I'm anti-Trina these days (because she's such a drip), but Isaiah did show up to her place. I'd probably have an attitude too. I missed a few episodes but it seems like Isaiah and Portia patched things up since they found out Curtis is the baby's dad. Now he's trying to get her and Trina to reconcile. I wish there was some more tension with Isaiah or character development.

I love that Drew, Willow, and Sidwell are all a**holes who have screwed each other over. And Sidwell was right---no one's coming to save you, Drew. Maybe Kai. Trina continues to be a downer. Portia is messy but Trina acts so personally offended. The writers make her so one note.

I found the scene where Danny and Michelle agree to keep Hope's name as is. The explanation feels a bit flat. I actually felt more for Cassie. Starts at 30:04.

It feels like a changing of the guard. 15 years too late, but I'll take it. GH is at its best when it is an ensemble show.

I'm jealous of those who got to see the Karen Wolek trial and that testimony live. I get goosebumps every time I see the YouTube clip. History in the making. So much so that I went out of my way to find it, decades later. Judith Light, the talent that you are. She is simply amazing in these scenes and has so much range as an actress. I will never forgive OLTL for what they did to Marty's character toward the end of her run. She had so many layers, at first. I started watching OLTL after her gang rape, and I liked that she got to be raw, messy, complicated while still being a victim. In between my GL binge, I started a Todd Manning one, and I wasn't mad at Marty at all for not exonerating him of the hospital rapes. Why should she have helped him? But then it got weird after she and Todd became quasi-friends. The real insult is when they made her crazy over John McBain. Marty/Susan deserved so much better. But for a time, I really loved that Marty got to be more than just a paint-by-numbers heroine.

I wouldn't mind this plot twist. The Liz/Dante chem testing scene was cute. Nothing special but cute. I still want LiRic, but I also like Liz having options. Gio and Emma are great together. I really love that she doesn't have to be dumbed down to be with him. It feels like they've abandoned Joss as Sydney Bristow. Or at the very least, she's not shoved down our throats every day. Carly's screentime is also scaled back, making her easier to like/tolerate.

Agree. I do hope that once Liza's kids turn 18, they can make their own decisions if they want to know Susan as their grandmother. Or just to hear her side of things. Unless of course they are Scientologists and contact is forbidden even then. I do hope that everyone involved in this has some kind of peace. I fully believe in going no contact if it brings you peace but I also feel bad for Susan if she didn't initiate this which it doesn't sound like she did.

Oh, how I love this movie. It's terrible in every camp way. @alwaysAMC Thank you for the chapter reviews so far. I was also nosy about the Susan/Liza feud. I also think Liza is the one going no contact, and that's her right. I say cut off anyone who interferes with your peace - family included. Liza regularly posts her kids on IG and shown love to a nanny, I believe, who she says was the one who raised her. I've never seen Liza mention/post any family outside of her nuclear one, which leads me to believe she's gone no contact with her brother, too. This feud has to be really bad if she didn't even go to her father's funeral and it's been 10 years since they spoke, according to Liza.

Ross' mustache took me out. I thought he would start twirling it. I went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out why Michelle and Danny named their son Robbie. I thought it was so random and I then I found out that everyone is basically named after someone lol I've seen clips of Bill and Lizzie and yes, she is the most likable in this pairing. Maybe they could've become the next young supercouple.
