  1. Nina and her shrieking were Passions-level bad. It almost felt like a parody. But now we're gonna have two guys trapped in their bodies, and Brennan won't be able to get back in Carly's good graces by saving Joss. Either Anna or Jason will come to her rescue. As for Britt, the actress doesn't have the skill to play a layered vixen, and the writing is all over the place.
  2. What you said! I'd rather Jess Walton or no Jill at all.
  3. Does anyone have the June 1995 episodes? Specifically, the 29th and 30th.
  4. I'd take that over a pap smear. Judging by the comments, this episode feels all over the place. GH can be so good one day and then glitch the next. This should be a neon sign at GH. Speaking of retcons, one of the most offensive ones -- to me at least -- went down around 2013. It was when Stavros returned (again) and Lulu and Nikolas talked about how Helena had brought Nikolas to Port Charles. That is not what happened. Stefan, my favorite Cassadine, engineered all that. It just irrationally annoyed me.
  5. Y&R really pushes it by making Claire this naive girl who has never been anywhere, but I rolled my eyes at New York being one of those places. She's been an executive at Newman and now Nikki wants her to take over as president at Chancellor. But she's never been to New York?! It's the financial capital of the world. Lily's hair looked nice. I like the blonde highlights/streaks. That's all I've got because this show is dreadful.
  6. Unpopular opinion: Laura is the matriarch of GH, but the show would go on if she were written out tomorrow. Her character is so underwhelming and aimless. She moves from one plot point to the next (Ace, Heather, Esme, Lucky's bust return, Dalton and the worst mayor on record) without it meaning anything on the canvas. They need to kill off Nikolas and give her some interesting material.
  7. He can't be shoved out the door -- Fresh Prince of Bel Air style -- soon enough.
  8. Steve Burton's real life is messier than anything on GH. I feel for their daughter, the youngest child who is caught in the middle of parents who can't stand each other.
  9. I'll stick to what I saw live myself but I have always wished that I could've seen the Karen Woleck stuff in real time. GH: Click boom. Back then, I was just a kid collecting SOD magazines, and they hadn't said anything about Lily dying. I don't think this was spoiled at all, and it was worth the drama that followed for the next six months. The story went off a cliff when Miranda was introduced. Amazing Grace was a cinematic sequence. Sonny and Brenda still had that top tier chemistry after so many years and the story of her comeback was almost perfect. DAYS: Carrie interrupting Sami and Austin's wedding and punching her for all her schemes! Sami had that coming. Susan's fake teeth flying out of her mouth when her wedding to John got interrupted. Y&R: Sharon confronting Nick in the hotel about his affair with Phyllis. His face was so cracked. I also loved it when Sharon told Phyllis that she was like a dog in heat. Cassie's death. When Nadia's theme began to play, it was just too much. AMC: Erica's meltdown at the Woman of the Year Award. Loving: The Loving Murders. What a way to close out the show.
  10. I was being logged out for 2 days, but it's stabilized now (fingers crossed).
  11. This story is pointless. If GH hadn't shown Jordan and Curtis fooling around, I could buy into this WhoDunIt. But Jordan was a distracted driver and now the story seems focused on how she isn't pretty anymore.
  12. Thanks @Franko for pointing me in the direction of the uploads. I've been on a hard Loving binge lately.
  13. Looks like it. The baby/babies who play Phoebe are so adorable and cute.
  14. Sharon Case used to be one of my favorite actresses. I don't know what has happened to her in the past few years. There's only so much that you can blame bad material on. I wish the job market worked as well as it does in Genoa City. In what universe does Claire deserve to be president of any company?!
  15. Same. What an episode. It gave me all the drama I needed. GH pulled out a miracle because I was actually rooting for Joss and Carly. But Joss does deserve Donkey of the Day. She could've minded her own business and just be a socialite. 😂 The Savoy scenes just interrupted the flow, but I get why the show felt they needed something lighter in the episode.
  16. I love the ruthless Quartermaine side of Michael. He'd make Edward so proud. Not to mention that RB has the charisma and skill to still make Michael vulnerable. Kelly stopped trying for years. I was never a huge Sam fan but respected/tolerated her place on the canvas. But if the actress doesn't care, why should I?
  17. I always feel as though I'm picking on NSA, but she is one of the most underwhelming recasts ever. Granted, there are far more offensive ones, but her characterization of Michelle stripped the character of her vital, fiery essence. Michelle barely had a pulse with NAS, and every attempt felt forced. But Manny still had their fans even then.
  18. I've seen clips of Dante kidnapping Dinah Lee and it hasn't pulled me in. He comes off very weird (I suppose that's the point) but it doesn't engage me. I just see Carlo Hesser in a wig and he's terrorizing a young woman. Then there's the other part where he was abusive to Tess and she tries to kill him. Gilbert makes an appearance at Jeremy's funeral during the Loving Murders arc. That was fun to watch. But that was about it for me.
  19. I'm sure this is old news for some GL fans, but I got weirdly excited to see Laura Wright, Paul Anthony Stewart, and David Andrew MacDonald sharing scenes on Loving circa 1994. (3:03 mark) I knew and loved LW and PAS as Ally and Casey. But color me shocked when I saw David appear as a priest officiating their wedding (and also giving Ally and Cooper couples therapy). I really wish GL had leaned more into Danny and Cassie. The chemistry was always there. But at least I got Cassie and Edmund, dysfunctional as they were.
  20. Susan delivered very solid performances, especially such as the one in the clip. But the Emmys always seemed to box her in as just playing a hair-flipping diva. Cady's hair was atrocious in this scene lol. Like girl, c'mon. That hair always takes me out of it. These vultures should've been been buried in lawsuits for not paying so many of the actors. I completely agree that AMC 2.0 took a modern approach to the groundwork that Agnes laid down and certain writers took liberties with. She was forward thinking with her stories, leveraging the characters to tell stories that stood the test of time. Pancakes and unabortions don't belong in that legacy. As short lived AMC 2.0 was, I did enjoy it. Although, the human trafficking story was a hard one, but it's a harsh reality. I love Erica but in a way, I was happy that the show could stand on its own without her character.
  21. Thanks @alwaysAMC I'm vaguely remembering that there was an Adam and Brooke reunion on the reboot. Soaps really were ahead of the curve when it came to streaming. AMC may be my next binge, especially now that it's on Pluto. I'll have to get a VPN.
  22. Thank you for this. Ava is one of the standout characters. Lisa Peluso's version is the one I'm most familiar with and I always loved her spunk. Alex is cool too. I just finished watching Casey's death. It's been years since I did so, and it made me sad all over again. Paul Anthony Stewart gave him so many layers. Although, I never understood why Cooper didn't give Ally (Tyler's mom) security to ward off any bad guys. But only a soap opera can Danny and Ally have an attraction after all that happened. Speaking of Casey's death, Laura Wright is such a natural. Whew. She's always had a commanding presence, almost daring the viewer not to be taken in by her performances: from subtle to in your face. Her hair has always been luscious too. Jacob and Angie are OK. The chemistry is there, but their AMC reunion was so much better since they got to be Angie and Jesse, not some hamfisted story.
  23. Perfect sense. It's a more entertaining (at least for now) and less offensive version of Passions. Bold really doesn't know how to juggle stories and it's been rare that they've had two hot stories at once. Taylee, Deacon, and Sheila had serious juice. I'd rather see those characters than Elektra and R.J. Brooke is a lost cause. As you've pointed out, the Marones/Forresters use Logan as a curse word. Steffy utters it with such contempt. The Brooke of Belief and Brooke's Bedroom is so buried under the doormat she's become. Insufferable and childish. Logan is Katie's name. She has every right to use it, and Eric willingly chose to design for Katie because Ridge put him out to pasture for the millionth time.
  24. I'm not using a VPN, and my IP address hasn't changed. I've had to switch to Edge to use the board. Chrome just logs me out.
