  1. When Sonja Morgan makes sense... you know there's a problem going on.
  2. Ugh. The horrible re-write done by Ron Carlivati. Such a shame. Only positive thing that came out of that was the hiring of Maura West as Ava friggin' Jerome.
  3. I'm all for creating a balance; if you want to tell a story that is purely plot-dictated, ensure there is a way for characters to be developed within the storyline. And there is a way to do it... but TPTB seem to be incapable of successfully doing that.
  4. Question: Had Christopher Goutman not replaced Felicia Minei Behr as executive producer, who would you have liked to see named?
  5. Sorry, but anyone who believes plot sells soaps is not thinking straight. There is a way to do a story, and have it be character-developing... but you lose your cast and you lose your characters, then you lose your audience.
  6. I would rather actual Quartermaines return... and not have been killed off without rhyme or reason (a-la Alan, Emily, AJ, et al).
  7. Looks like history books might be getting opened.
  8. Who we need is someone like Michael Logan or Carolyn Hinsey.
  9. I have a feeling Alan might want to turn off the live chat option... 'cause it will be an overwhelming mess of rudeness.
  10. Oh, trust me, Steve Burton and Monaco also do not have chemistry... especially since his latest return, and her apparent disinterest in being Sam. Nope. The woman was a patient, and I remember her daughter coming to the hospital and Elizabeth going off on her like it was her job.
  11. Chuck Pratt Jr's work was controversial, but, damn... did it have some drive to it, especially following Shelly Altman & Jean Passanante. Plus, his work with Mal Young as executive producer (who was in-charge during the explosion scene) was far superior than his tenure with Jill Farren Phelps.
  12. Am I the only one who felt Michael Easton and Kelly Monaco have zero chemistry? Hmm... Liz wasn't in the looney bin; the older lady was a patient at the hospital, and Liz acted as her nurse/friend.
  13. At least the soap was exciting and worth watching at that time....
  14. I'm hoping they allow him to grow out his facial hair.
  15. From what I've read (via humourous recaps), Sally is there to be a thorn in the dead-upon-arrival pairing of Kyle and Summer, and become Phyllis 2.0, in terms of meddling. As for Josh Griffith, he has his friend Steve Kent (via Sony Pictures Television) to thank for his gig. I agree: Griffith is missing all of the important parts of this story and is rushing it far too much (which, for a writer whose work has been slower than a tortoise) is laughable.
  16. I don't blame him. Ron Carlivati's decision to retcon and re-work the character of Franco was such a poor decision. However, we also know how toxic social media can be for the so-called rumour mill. I'm taking it with less than a grain of salt.
  17. Considering Rebecca Herbst was fired and only re-hired because of fan demand... I can't help but wonder if they should've kept her fired for a year or two.. put her on All My Children and then returned her to General Hospital after the former ended.
  18. Prime needs to bring Dynasty back, stat!
  19. I don't see it happening. I just see a genuine friendship established between two characters that interact with the other Carrington family members. If I am being honest, I'm sad Culhane and Kirby didn't go further than it did.
  20. Was trying to last week.. but Paramount+ is bugged AF on my streaming device.
  21. It was the only way of explaining it; they wouldn't shoot Sofia or Johnny kissing, despite other cast members sharing those intimate moments, and they kept avoiding her mid-section, and, once they revealed Sasha's pregnancy her stomach was showing again.
  22. Because, again, I do believe Gibboney had the ability to pull from the vulnerabilities of the character that allowed you to feel for her, even when you shouldn't have. Once Mattson was cast, that vulnerability just went away.. and it changed the character's origin.
  23. They definitely were two different characters. And I have to wonder, if Gibboney stayed in the role, where Gina would've gone.
