Surprised Shanice is so cool with Ashley's cellphone usage, although, given her own personal use of cellphones since the serial's beginning, she would be hypocritical to crack down on their usage. Dana slinking into the backroom of the casino is hilarious. She acts as if she owns it. Joey's wa. Dana's shouse. So much going on. But her excitement for Joey agreeing to invest felt quite genuine for her. I am surprised. I will be interested in seeing what the result of the cotillion is going to be. I really am. A tug and a tickle? Oh, Joey. That gives me some giddy feelings... but naming it in dedication to Doug McBride? Oh, that is a bold choice. A very bold choice. Stressed, hormonal, irritable and tired? Oh. I love that. Once again, Dani Dupee knows her way with words. Good on Ashley for pressing her own foot on Shanice's neck and giving her a taste of her own medicine. That is hilarious to me. And here comes Samantha dragging the mood to a screeching halt. Taking after her aunt, I see. Tyrell has big feelings; I am sure they are rooted in his upbringing and his feelings for Jessica, but I am happy that he is expressing himself and that Nicole is allowing him the space to do so. It is interesting seeing Shanice work her way around HIPAA laws to alert Ashley about what is going on with Naomi's mother and family. Arrested in at least six states? Oh. Makes me wonder what Vanessa is thinking about. Hilarious. Marcel is going to double-cross Joey to help Dana. And now that Randy has caught them lip-locked, I can only imagine this will not end well. Ms Shanice... in the hospital? Ooo-wee. What a risky move, if I do say so! Notes: Alas, another breakdown by writer2. Really hoping he does not stay the entire year. Get rid of the deadweight. At least it is not Jazmen Darnell Brown or Danielle Paige, the best scriptwriters, saddled with his subpar breakdown this go 'round. Love seeing Karla Mosley (Dani) in her mugshot top! What a throwback!

I was not watching during Allen's tenure but I saw scenes with her in the role, and she definitely 'fit' better. That being said, Rebecca Budig and Kanan do have chemistry together, so that is a plus.

So, Christel Khalil's exit storyline has arrived: she is going to visit Mattie to get away from Cane. Gosh, shifting from the Matt Clark storyline back to the AI one is such a drag. Majorly.

Rewatching from the beginning, Andre's hesitation to do the Forrester Creations feature was very on-character that was established in the serial's third episode, where he refuses to have his photo taken with Kat, Nicole, and Ted.

I am surprised they relented, but when you harass/bully a platform to bring things back when it's a universal thing they do (and not serial-specific), I guess that's the outcome. Happy it is back, although likely for a short period of time.

And it is also nice how he (Martin) wants to look out for his grandfather. But he (Vernon) is too slick to fall for it. Aw, I love that Tracy showed up for Anita! That is some true friendship right there, especially with Tracy having some experience with breast cancer in her life. Marcel, you are scum. Working with Joey, sleeping with Dana. You are far from innocent in all of this. Plus, Douglas' death. Should have thought about all of this before right now. Okay... Miss Eva is letting her feelings kind of be felt, and I like that, a lot. I can appreciate Tracy trying to get beyond Anita's demeanour, but at the same time, I wish she would also recognise it is likely how Anita is coping with what is going on. The reactions are not linear. This is how Anita is dealing. Brilliant advice from Vanessa; sometimes screaming over/with loud music in an enclosed, private space is the best thing one can do for themselves. That release, much like crying, is the perfect one to have. I appreciate how much Jessica is there for Tyrell and is listening to him, truly. That, in a young person, is a rare find no matter the era. I love seeing Laura and Mona rally around Nicole right now. Beyond a professional relationship, you can tell there is a personal one there, too, and it means the world to Nicole. Well, Anita Williams has been awakened. That is exactly what Tracy was trying to help get out. POWERFUL! Notes: Bibel and Martin continue to be a solid team; however, this is not one of my favourite breakdowns from the former. She has done better. Kudos to Blangiardo-Goins for pulling in some new angles; it seems like everyone has been tasked with that for 'season two', and she has arrived at the task with ease. Tamara Tunie (Anita) showed up to work today. Whew. Powerful scenes and powerful performances. I am verklempt. Whew. That was brilliant.

Dana versus Shanice will never not get old... at least for right now. I appreciate that Dani acknowledges she fell bad into old habits by going to Bill first and foremost. At least she is aware of herself. Naomi, how dare you deny bacon? I do not care what is going on... I will never, ever refuse bacon! I love how much Chelsea and Madison connect with each other. They definitely get each other. So beautiful! I love their love. Dana wants Marcel's considerable weapon? Oh, so she has got a word association kink. I see you. It is very, very sweet that Andre is there to just hold Dani as she sleeps. Notes: It is a Montgomery and Brown day! And they work exceptionally well together! Finally Brown has a breakdown writer (Montgomery) worthy of his talents. Replacing Ben Gavin (Derek) with Jon Lindstrom (Joey) in the opening, especially with a new 'background', was the right upgrade. I just wonder if he is under contract or not... as of Friday, Lindstrom is still a principal guest. Guess we will find out this week.
