He really is! I am so glad he made the transition to Beyond the Gates, and he seems well loved on set, too. I was never the biggest Karla Mosley fan. Hated the character of Maya on The Bold and the Beautiful, but when she did sub for Mishael Morgan on The Young and the Restless, I did see her differently. But Dani? This is a role she was born to play and I am so glad she didn't stick to her denial of the role.

Happy to see Beyond the Gates continue to improve; let's hope CBS uses tomorrow to its advantage as the sole CBS soap on CBS airing a brand-new episode. C'mon now, network!

An hour watching Beyond the Gates always passes by quickly; the other soaps? Cannot relate.

Same. Nothing felt forced or unnatural about them. That P&G influence was there.

BTG: December 2025 Discussion Thread
date: Tuesday, December 30, 2025 | Teresa Zimmerman, Judy Tate | Phideaux Xavier Thoughts: Damn! Uptown is hopping for New Year's Eve, and I am loving it! It feels like the hip place to be for the ball drop on the year. The country club looks bustling, too! Love seeing so many out to celebrate the New Year. Could never be me. At all. But love seeing it. JFC Dana... you are insufferable. Beyond insufferable. No one cares about your lies or your continued deceit. Whew... Anita is handling this exceptionally well. Those brief quiet moments are beautiful. I appreciate seeing Ashley and Derek being cordial with each other. That is how it should be if it can with exes. Joey schmoozing it up at the country club is a choice; not going to lie, he does stick out like a sore thumb, and I feel like that is part of Vanessa's grand scheme against him. A tipsy Madison is a fun Madison. She should let this side out a bit more, even when she is not under the influence of alcohol. Kind of speechless this episode because of how exceptionally well everything was woven together. Wow. Outstanding final episode of 2025! Bring in 2026! Notes: Once again, Zimmerman and Tate did outstanding work with the script work! And Xavier is a brilliant director! The mass amount of established characters on the canvas today makes it feel so full, and everyone is getting their chance to shine. That is rare in American daytime. Tamara Tunie (Anita), Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole), and Karla Mosley (Dani) all work exceptionally well as a mother with her daughters. Perfect casting by Kim Coleman. Love seeing the country club, Uptown, and Orphey Gene's being used in today's episode. So special. Sorry KeKe Wyatt, but Kenny Lattimore is a much stronger performer and a greater guest star! What a magical moment. The final montage was so well done, with an overlay of Lattimore's beautiful singing. Love it. A perfect New Year's Eve episode.

So Heather Tom is out of the wig and it seems to be her hair now; it's giving when Martha Madison pinch-hit for Rebecca Budig on General Hospital. 🤣 But good on Katie for securing the 'Logan' trademark. The Slut from the Valley can cry through her plastic face into Ridge's arms until the end of time.

How could I?! I mean, that commercial aired every other commercial cycle.- GH: December 2025 Discussion Thread
I don't blame Jon Lindstrom; General Hospital was barely using him in the first place so he went to a job where he could not only act but also make money doing what he enjoys doing. I would do the same thing.- BTG: December 2025 Discussion Thread
AMEN! People bitch about the hospital on this soap but they're giving us actual doctors and hospital-centric stories, while GH does not (unless it's Shriner's Hospital for Children, because Shriner's Hospital for Children is amazing. They really care about you at Shriner's Hospital for Children).- BTG: December 2025 Discussion Thread

date: Monday, December 29, 2025 | Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | Michael V. Pomarico Thoughts: Izaiah is moving awfully fast by labeling Eva as his girlfriend. Perhaps this is why Yolanda broke up with him? He might be someone who jumps the gun a bit too quick. Aw, I love a catch-up between Dani and Vanessa. This is so sweet to see them keeping themselves company, as well as sharing gabfest discussions over the holiday happenings. Dana is really trying to make her mark by stealing Samantha's idea for the free clinic. She will stop at nothing, will she? I know it is rough right now and things are looking down; I can only hope that Anita begins to see some positives. She will need that as she continues her fight. Go Eva, go! Use that brain of yours! As much as I enjoy Nicole and Carlton catching up... it would have been even better for Carlton to have been there celebrating with her. Anita is handling herself with grace and poise and her terror is understandable, but I appreciate how cautious and communicative Dr Bauer is with her. And then Vernon comforting her and standing strong not only with her but also for her. Poor Rick. He is being hounded by two women with two very different offers. But despite him not being interested, he at least entertained them, and I am sure got a laugh or two from it as well. When Dana is this close to getting it right, she crosses a line that should not be crossed between mother and child. At all. Well damn, Nicole... that was some passionate kiss right there. Forget Stella, Nicole is getting her groove back and right on time for the New Year! Notes: Ugh. Starting the week off with a breakdown by writer2. Let us not, please! But thank goodness for Paige's involvement; I just wish she would be better paired. Look at this, a soap opera not extending a holiday beyond what it should be! How refreshing; the others should pay close attention. The Shade Room? People still follow that drab? The continued, realistic portrayal of what one goes through with a cancer battle is so amazing. This is the kind of topical soap-telling that American soaps need to be doing. No one else does it like Beyond the Gates. NO ONE. It is outstanding how details are neither skimmed over nor are they falsified for the sake of writing a story. This is well thought out and executed perfectly.- BTG: December 2025 Discussion Thread
