original release date: Friday, May 8, 2026 | writers: Michael Montgomery, Danielle Paige | director: Michael V. Pomarico Thoughts: Whoa there, Grayson. A bit jumpy, are we? Calm down, my friend! Calm down! That was a chilly turndown that Shanice gave Ted. Whew... I needed a cooldown, but not that much! Okay, Cam Aura and Bea Guiling. We love a 1970s vibe! Sweet of Dani to do that for Andre. Super cute. Not Jacob threatening to arrest Grayson just like that. I do not think that is how it works, Jacob, and I am not even a cop! Okay, Miss Sunny Anderson! Love seeing you pop into Orphey Gene's for a cameo! Seeing Martin and Naomi catch up. I feel like, due to their professions, they have a connection like Chelsea and Katherine but more so in a more logical-mindset kind of vibe. That devious smirk on Lia's face said so much without saying anything at all. Oh God. Not a threat against Grayson's mother. So unfair that she got dragged into this. An innocent, ill woman. So gross. More fictional flashbacks? That is exciting. Love at first sight? Nah. I do not believe in it, but I do believe in life after love! I hate to say it, but I do not think Bradley and Martin have the same idea of distraction they would like to explore. Ted has the right sentiments; however, the way in which he is delivering them to Shanice is not hitting. Not Shanice doing a one-two punch by insulting both Dana's taste in clothing and her selection of wigs. I am creasing because of that. NO WAY DID NICOLE JUST IMAGINE THAT CARLTON WAS TED! Oh girl. Now I understand, completely... that is why you like him: he reminds you of Ted! Messy, messy, messy! Well, the contact is now known: Lia! Jacob's surprise is not as 'surprise' as I thought it would be, though. Bradley, you could be having some super sexy time with your husband... and you keep avoiding it. Get your thicc backside up the stairs and be with your husband. So is Ashley a loose end for you, Lia? And if so, what do you intend on doing about it? Notes: Montgomery and Paige were paired beautifully today; however, whoever edited the episode really did ruin how things flowed. The varying flashback scenarios with Sean Freeman and Karla Mosley were hilarious and fun. A nice comedic touch to the episode. The hair and costume departments knocked it out of the park, as did post-production, making it feel different, especially during those scenes set in the 1970s. The flashback scenes reminded me of those days when P&G would do those comedy-inspired episodes on As the World Turns. The When Harry Met Sally-esque moment was a nice nod to cinema history, but in a more daytime-friendly way. DAMN! Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole) is body tea! Curves upon curves upon curves!- Congrats to Melanie C for her highest charting UK album!
DESERVED! Sweat is such a fun album; reuniting with Virgin Music for distribution was a smart move for her. But I need more visuals from her.- ARTICLE: ‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ Ranks No. 1 Among Soaps In Women 18-49 & Women 25-54, ‘GMA3’ Sees Weekly & Yearly Gains In Key Demos
Plus, I do know CBS does play the classic demos/ratings game where Y&R is concerned, so if they're slipping (in comparison to B&B), then I know they're moving chess pieces. You would have thought bringing in Sally McDonald as co-EP would have helped so Griffith could "focus on writing" (and it did, to a point, as demos did improve), but you cannot band-aid something in the hopes of a long-term fix. I'm praying we get news in the next month that Griffith's exit is a full one.- Y&R: May 2026 Spoilers

I would never root for The Bold and the Beautiful (which is the worst American daytime soap running); however, in order to really get Josh Griffith out altogether, we need it to continue to outperform The Young and the Restless in demos, so in this case, kudos to that soap. And yay for year-over-year gains for Beyond the Gates! That is AMAZING!- BTG: May 2026 Discussion Thread

Sally Sussman and her entitled attitude should never set foot on this soap again. It should have been Kay Alden as head writer, while Sussman was stuck being a storyline consultant. Besides, Jonelle Allen already confirmed the former is working on a Generations reboot.- Y&R: Josh Griffith steps down as executive producer
Janice Ferri Esser retired in 2024, so I don't see her returning. And from what I understand, Natalie Minardi Slater is happy working at Beyond the Gates plus, I wouldn't want one of the best breakdown writers to leave what I consider a stable home for one that is not as stable.- Law & Order: SVU - Discussion Thread

original release date: Thursday, May 7, 2026 | writers: Jamey Giddens, Skyy Sandifer | director: Michael V. Pomarico Thoughts: Be careful, Tomas. Do not overstep your bounds with Bill. Slip-ups will not be tolerated, nor will entitlement. Ms Vanessa is sneaky and I love it. I adore her investigating things herself, especially where her housing inventory is concerned. So, Joey is involved in the plasma ring and is connected to Lia in some kind of way. How interesting. Uh-oh, Nicole... not who you were expecting, was it? I do hope that Ashley listens to Naomi in this case where Grayson is concerned. Okay now Grayson... standing up to Lia. But I would be careful. I doubt she is one that is to be messed with or threatened. It is sweet that Carlton remembered details, but it is also coming off as slightly concerning, because it comes off less genuine and more obsessive. That was a steely cold warning from Lia. And if it goes beyond her and now Joey, it does make me wonder who the impaler actually is. Once again, Katherine's mouth is going off where it really should not be going off. And not Bill making reference to Only Murders in the [Damn] Building. Oh, we have got a breakup letter for Joey. Interesting. I wonder who the mystery woman happens to be... and yes, Vanessa, you should be concerned. And Heather, huh? I wonder if Heather might pop up at some point in the not-so-distant future...? Ashley, I highly doubt you stealing meds is going to be the most important topic of things that the hospital has on its hands. Its chief of staff is the main issue. And leaving town?! Grayson, Lia has you shaken. Might be time to tell Ashley and Naomi a bit of what is going on... because this is just too much. Not Vanessa handing out chips to guests at the casino. 🤣 How hilarious. I love her so much. OH SH*T! NOT GRAYSON JUST DROPPING THE BOMB ABOUT JACOB'S UNDERCOVER MISSION! This is insane. Not Hayley being drunk off of her backside and Bill not being impressed by it. Yup. That is the child you married. Nice to see Katherine coming around to her mother dating. It is about damn time, too. Ashley, the hospital is the very last place you should be going to, especially if your boss is there. Grayson loves slamming his fists on doors! That, if anything, draws attention, instead of detracting from it. Notes: Well, we hit the hiccup day, and, of course, Sandifer has to be saddled with the unfortunate breakdown. However, I would prefer it be them over someone else. Overall, the breakdown was not too bad today but there was a lot of room for improvement, despite some amazing movement in the story that happened. Post-production is amazing. The lighting is right where it should be and I hope they do not change it. This is how this soap should have looked since day one. Jen Jacob (Ashley) and Jordi Vilasuso (Grayson) did incredible work in their confrontation scenes today. Incredible.- BTG: May 2026 Discussion Thread
