DAYS: July 2025 Spoilers
Rachel Boyd on Sophia: (more from the soaps.sheknows interview) “She can never be the same again after this experience,” Boyd says. “The character will be changed forever on the other side. She is going to understand her power and her independence in a new way. And she also now has an emotional tie to another little person who she’s going to want to protect no matter what, in whatever capacity she can.” “Sophia has had to learn quickly that decisions that directly relate to her life and her body are not always completely in her control in the way that they should be,” Boyd notes. “So the threat of somebody taking away her ability to decide what she wants for her life and for the baby’s life is very real. She’s going to be a bit more mama bear, for lack of a better word.”

Y&R: July 2025 Discussion Thread
SOD just published this summary of Cane/Lily but leaves out 90% of what I posted. It has one sentence about Juliet and the baby, and erroneously says it was 2018. https://www.soapoperadigest.com/photos/the-highs-and-lows-of-cane-and-lilys-rocky-romance-on-young-and-restless/

Y&R: July 2025 Discussion Thread
Bringing this over from the June thread: @Paul Raven asked what lying and betrayal Cane did in the past that led Lily to break up with him . . . . The year 2017: Just the relevant parts regarding Cane from https://web.archive.org/web/20190328022245/soapcentral.com/yr/recaps/2017/ To sum it up: Cane got a coworker pregnant and hid it. Also, Cane sabotaged Billy at work, and got blackmailed by his accomplice, and then he stole the twin's school tuition to pay off the blackmailer. DAYS: July 2025 Spoilers
https://soaps.sheknows.com/days-of-our-lives/news/788220/preview-sophia-gives-birth-whats-next/ Quoting excerpts: Rachel Boyd preparing to emulate someone giving birth: As the pivotal episode drew ever nearer, Boyd was anxious, too. “I was very fearful of the character giving birth,” she admits. “I thought, ‘How am I going to play this honestly?’ Not just to portray the birth and the physical aspect but also to be able to conceptualize and relate to that bond that new mothers feel afterwards. That isn’t really something you can study in the same way.” To prepare, Boyd spent months watching videos and vlogs. But what may have informed her performance the most profoundly was the 2013 movie Philomena, in which Dame Judi Dench’s title character has spent 50 years searching for the son she was forced to give up. “There’s a scene where she finds out he had died, and she’s talking to somebody who knew him,” Boyd explains. “And all they say is, ‘You know, he had a really strong handshake’ — and she’s so proud and emotional. “For me, something clicked when I saw that,” she continues. “I was like, ‘OK, I think I’m starting to symbolically understand this bond.’” In fact, Boyd used the memory in the scene in which Sophia holds the baby for the first time. “And it’s baby prop, right? It’s not even a real baby,” she laughs. “But I remember looking at it and thinking, ‘I wonder if he’ll have a strong handshake.’ It connected that feeling for me.” There's more in this interview recorded October 2024 and released Feb 2025 - she talks more about watching/reading vlogs/blogs

DAYS: Baby Bump | promo (June 27, 2025)
From the above photos, from the above "Baby Bump promo for week of June 30- July 4", and from the extended summer preview/trailer (Link to summer trailer thread) it looks like Sophia gives birth alone! Then drops the baby off at the anonymous baby drop-off box at the fire station, and paramedic Javi finds the baby there. And then she lies to Tate that there were adoptive parents ready at the birth who took the baby home with them. And meanwhile Javi takes the baby home and shows Leo. Sophia seriously does NOT want to be a mother, but wants the baby to be safe. Nobody was helping her, so I guess she feels this is her option?

Hank said that on his birthday January 9, 2025, he received the notification that he was booked for DAYS. It doesn't say when he began taping. His casting was announced Feb. 14, 2025. bsky from the interviewer https://bsky.app/profile/tvdeeva.bsky.social/post/3lswcfevvtk2f Christel Khalil interview, June 30, 2025 https://www.womansworld.com/entertainment/celebrities/christel-khalil-dishes-canes-yr-return-and-ending-lilys-dry-spell-excl Lily's reaction to Cane's return. Lily and Damian. re: Lily's kiss with Damian: Christel says: “Lily’s finally got some action after—what has it been? My God, a two-year dry spell,” cracks Christel Khalil. “This is a facet of Lily that we haven’t gotten to see in a long time. It’s just been a lot of focusing on business stuff, so it’s nice to have that personal connection again.” Re: Cane: “Even though the history is there, Cane is kind of a revamped character,” Khalil says. “I think that makes it easier, because it’s not like we’re trying to recreate something that was. Instead, we’re picking up where these characters are at the present moment” Christel says that she cane build her own chemistry with Billy[Flynn]. Christel talks about Lily's trust issues: She says that with each of Lily's relationships -- with Daniel, Cane, Kevin and Billy[Abbott] -- there was love, but “it’s always ended in some betrayal.” “Even her dad and her uncle were a betrayal. Finding out that Neil wasn’t her dad, but Malcolm was? That was huge, so it’s been just one betrayal after another she’s had to deal with.” Christel also talks about her history with the show, her close friendship with Bryton, and memories of her teen years as Lily. And what's like to be a mom of a teen and a toddler and traveling with them to visit her family in Canada.

- ARTICLE: 'The Young And The Restless' Alum Michael Roark Joins 'Days Of Our Lives,' Set For October Debut
Roark Critchlow is making a visit as Mike Horton to DAYS in the summer or autumn of 2025, per the new trailer that covers summer and part of autumn. Michael Roark is debuting as unannounced character on DAYS in early October 2025. I haven't seen any announcement as to whether this is a longterm or short-term role. I'm mildly curious if Roark C. and M. Roark will air at the same time or interact.- DAYS: July 2025 Spoilers
