I wonder if there could be an opportunity for Devon to connect with Tyrell and Samantha, to tell them he came in through the foster care system, but Drucilla and Neil adopted him when he was a teen. I don't know if Devon will appear on BTG long enough for that, but it's something that could be worked into dialogue, even if he goes back to Genoa City shortly thereafter.

The breakdowns for yesterday (Wed.) and today (Thurs.) seemed choppy -- in that the transitions from scene to scene weren't clarified. Wednesday: We're deciding to redesign the concert costumes, and then abruptly, they're all redesigned. Should have been a line of dialogue thrown into say everyone worked furiously for an hour. There was the seamstress right there, saying let me know if you need anything, but they didn't ask her to get fabric or fringe or whatever. Today Thursday, there could have been a line of dialogue after a commercial where they say, "whew we got that solo worked into the evening lineup just barely on time", implying that time passed during the commercial. Two seconds of dialogue would have made these scenes make sense, but instead we have to handwave it. These are nitpicks and I don't care that much, but still. Overall I still loved the episodes. The dialogue, especially for today, was superb.

Now we have confirmation that the first episode that Elizabeth Hendrickson directs airs Tuesday August 5th U.S. and includes at least these characters: Victor, Nikki, Sally, Chelsea, Billy, Phyllis, and Cane.

This scene is in the "next week on Y&R" preview video for week of August 4-8. So this is likely for the U.S. Tuesday August 5th episode.

Okay now I'm watching the first 15 minutes that I missed before. Anita speaks with Sharon and Tracy -- Anita says that the promoter suggested her solo would be jazz and not part of the Articulettes' song list; and that some of the audience might want to see Anita sing jazz. Tracy suggests that Anita book a separate solo concert to sing jazz. Anita rationalizes this as her family needs to hear it all tonight, including jazz numbers they haven't heard before.
