Josh Griffith got it into his head that he wanted Billy Flynn on Y&R, and Flynn agreed to the offer. Then, before anything was finalized, JG started writing Aristotle Dumas as the the Big Mysterious Billionaire. JG didn't account for the fact that Billy Flynn still had obligations at DAYS and would be filming at Days into April 2025. JG went full out promoting Aristotle Dumas in the writing -- to the point where we had the cast reciting the name Aristotle Dumas ad nauseum for months (823 times!) as @ChickenNuggetz92 archived here https://x.com/YRVault/status/1940163489252639007 JG also planned this Cane/Lily storyline, without realizing that CK would be pregnant. Obviously CK would have privately told JG as soon as she could, but still ... I'm sure that required a change in his planned arcs for the year. I don't think this was posted here at SON ... In this July 15th Jermaine Rivers (Damian) interview, he says he was told in April by JG that his character would be killed off; and that they didn't tell him this when he was first hired, but that Josh Griffith told him in April that it had *always* been JG's plan to kill off Damian: Quoting article: It was at the end of April that Rivers was informed of the grisly direction the storyline was going to take for his alter ego, when Griffith had a chat with the actor. “We had a great talk,” Rivers says. “He was like, ‘Hey, look, couldn’t tell you then, but this has always been the plan. There's been mention in these Y&R episode discussion threads wondering why are they pivoting Cane to be with Phyllis? It's stupid, and maybe it's just to give Stafford something to do. But I have been thinking for months that it's because of CK's pregnancy, but I didn't post that until now because of the rules of waiting until the actor announces.

Remember the Dumas France estate set had an offscreen swimming pool (splashing sound effects could be heard, characters had wet hair, and were sunning themselves onscreen in beach chairs.) Sally and Audra and the men were in bathing suits, but Lily wore a beach coverup. To lessen the effect of the differences, most of the actresses wore coverups in those "poolside" scenes in France. On the French traincar set, the Lily/Damian lovemaking scene faded to black earlier that might have been expected. But all of that could have been a wardrobe choice or a camera/direction choice. For a while now, Christel Khalil has airing as Lily behind large purses and other props. I appreciate the discretion in not posting speculations here -- because at SON we know it's not kosher to announce an actor's health status until the actor themself or their family makes a statement. The DaysPeacock show IG account often copy/pastes actor ig story posts onto its show ig account --- but it doesn't necessarily mean anything. I think the show's social media account person just randomly reposts stuff from actors' posts, if the account person thinks it's fun or whatever. As to why Rachel posted that on her own account, I don't know.

Just bumped up the thread on the casting of Hank Northrup (son of Wayne Northrup and Lynn Herring) who will debut on DAYS soon. Added more speculation to that thread about who his character might be. Maybe Liam Selejko or ?

They say that Hank Northrup's character will have scenes with Abe at first. Abe said he plans to tutor Liam Selejko ; however, Theo said Liam once taunted Theo in school. *** speculation*** Perhaps Hank Northrup will play Liam? ------------------------------------------------------ The name Selejko would indicate a relative of Ivy Selejko Jannings, who was played by Holly Gagnier. Ivy's brother Speed Selejko led the gang "the Vipers". Their father Paul Selejko was hired to burn down Anderson Manufacturing. There was also a Snake Selejko. Interestingly, after the Bo/Hope wedding in England, Bo got help from the original Theo Carver (Abe's brother) to defeat the Vipers. Ivy married Pete Jannings. They separated. She learned she was pregnant. Meanwhile she sort of flirted with Mike Horton. She gave birth to Charles "Charlie" Jannings on August 9, 1985. Eventually she reconciled with Pete and they left town with the child. Random things to wonder about ... How is Liam connected to Ivy? Did Ivy and Mike have a child during their offscreen years- so would he be Jeremy's brother? Or is Liam the son of Snake or Speed? Does Liam know that Theo's uncle (also named Theo) helped drive the Vipers out of Salem? If Liam is Charlie's brother, is Pete Jannings the father? An indirect side connection is that Pete also dated Melissa. Melissa's biological mother Linda hired Paul Selejko to burn down her factory. ------- We are likely to see the character Liam soon, but I don't know if Hank is playing Liam or someone else.

Billy Flynn's Y&R character -- the recast CaneAshby with an onscreen pseudonym of "AristotleDumas" -- was planned and written in to begin appearing earlier in 2025; but they had to hold off on Flynn's first tapedate/airdate at Y&R, so that Flynn could finish out something for DAYS. This made the other Y&R characters discuss "Aristotle Dumas" for months before he appeared onscreen. (Josh Griffith's scrambled writing at Y&R). This has been verified in several reputable articles with quotes from Flynn. Anyways, how this affects DAYS: Based on Billy Flynn's known first tapedate and first airdate at Y&R, and Conner Floyd's first tape date at DAYS (from an instagram showing his DAYS dressing room door on his first day), there's about two months in between Flynn-Chad and Floyd-Chad. With DAYS' overall production schedule having such a huge tape-to-airdate gap of many months, it's hard to know if DAYS blocktaped various things to make a longer or shorter gap between the two Chads. If there was no adjustment, then the character of Chad is rested for approximately two months between the two actors. (February 2026 and April 2026). --- Back on topic for the DAYS character Thomas -- it will be interesting to see if Thomas and Charlotte do go visit Jack & Jennifer in Boston -- and if they return (recast) to Salem with nuChad or if they reappear in Salem later on but SORASed.
