  1. The turn around on everything was absurdly quick. Regina did a complete 180 on June giving up her kids, something she deemed unforgivable. Even if June and Regina weren't on good terms, it is obvious Regina cared about those kids. While June was in no condition to raise them, I find it hard to believe she never thought of her sister but instead decided giving their custody away to the system was better. I understand that June was a user and not always in her right mind, but we are also led to believe that CPS didn't do their due diligence to track down family before just quickly giving them away in a closed adoption. These kids weren't exactly babies. They could have mentioned something to CPS. I could understand Regina having an ounce of sympathy and eventually forgiving June, but I am at a loss of how June calling CPS on herself vs a neighbor calling CPS on her is all that different when the result was these kids were gone forever. Yet, somehow Regina changed uo completely. I hope they don't go down some weird custody battle. June called CPS on herself. She chose to give them away. She is technically unhoused and unemployed. Ty and Sam have been with Martin and Smitty for a long time now and have a good life in the grand scheme of things. By law, their input would be heavily considered if a custody battle would even happen, which is rare considering bio parents give up any rights to the child in an adoption. Besides Ty and Sam are nearly legal adults. How exciting is a custody battle for a 17 year old going to really be. Now if June and Regina want to connect with Ty and Sam fine, but otherwise this story is a miss. I saw someone on reddit mention that it's weird that Bill is reminiscing about his kids, meanwhile Hayley is Naomi's age and I had a bit of an ohhh moment. Like I knew that, but reading it in that way just hit different.
  2. All just theories. We don't really know for sure. However, seems on the nose that Anita added more money to this trust and Leslie gets another letter in the mail about an inheritance.
  3. I'm not sure it was directly stated that Anita was sending Leslie money unless I missed that part today. However, you do have a possible theory. We know that Anita has been putting money into a trust anonymously for Barbara's family. It is possible that Dana is related to Barbara in some way and some of this money technically belongs to her.
  4. Is this a Hallmark movie or a soap? That voiceover ending with Jacob stating Ron and Cecile are really Tyrell and Samantha was a waste. They already gave us this predictable plot point, why not show us Naomi's reaction to finding out her second cousins are June's biological kids. They could have still shown the Smith/Richardsons playing cards at the end for impact.
  5. That irked me too. Sherry/Dana attempted suicide and they just let her leave the hospital alone. If medical staff evaluated her and deemed her to be low risk, at minimum, they would have someone pick her up.
  6. Also, Ashely pissed me off with the whole then we moved in together and things went bad. No, things went south in that relationship, because you had eyes for Andre.
  7. I assumed he did, but I can't remember if they were ever in the same room together. I took it as Bill assumed Randy didn't want to use his real name and Bill didn't want Hayley to know that he knew Randy so he went with it.
  8. Some of the dialogue today was giving Iyanla, Fix My Life and I wasn't here for it. Also, why would Derek go all out at the gym the day before a triathlon. Sure, you want to do some exercise the day before to keep your muscles active and engaged, but it is usually some sort of light physical activity or exercise. Not going all out on a kettlebell routine. I wonder if they are playing into Derek getting hurt, because Jacob questioned Derek not having a coach to prepare.
  9. I thought they came across really well. I think it made the Dani character seem more grounded. I cackled when Dani told Andre that it was fine that he wanted to pursue Ashley and then turned around and said she was lying. 😆
  10. If she didn't fake it, then Hayley has got to be one of the dumbest characters on the show. Her reason for denying the ultrasound the first time doesn't make any sense. Plotting to have Randy there after she confronts Dani clearly shows she premeditated that whole fiasco. Now whether she was actually pregnant at any point between telling Bill, her first scare, and the supposed miscarriage is unknown, but I don't think she was ever pregnant.
  11. I was confused by what Hayley was insinuating to Naomi about her miscarriage. I recall that Hayley originally claimed to be pregnant but it was a false alarm, yet shortly after she got pregnant "for real." There was also the cramping scare that led her to the hospital the first time where she denied an ultrasound. Was she claiming that one of those instances is where she lost her baby or that her carelessness during the first scare may have caused the miscarriage this time? Either way, it is clear she is lying, but the motive just seems so empty. I am having a hard time caring for most of these stories, they just seem so limp and deflated of any real urgency or strong emotion. They kind of just are. Doesn't help that there's an actor/character I don't care for much in most of these stories. But it's not even that, questionable acting has been seen time and again on daytime, many times it feels like something is missing. I can't put my finger on it. Also, couldn't they have made the cliffhanger Ashley walking in on Andre and Dani. Why did they go beyond that in today's episode, we could have seen it play out next week.
  12. Hayley crouched over in pain as Randy his helping her out of Uptown, to then do a full 180 degree swivel mostly upright to tell Dani no when Dani had offered to go with her.
  13. Yesterday, I was about to post "Elon. Just so he pops up tomorrow." to be silly and then I decided against it. My jaw when I saw him on today's episode 😃
  14. Agreed. I didn't get it at all.
  15. Andre tells Ashley that he's made up his mind. He wants someone that gets him, all of him... We have seen Andre and Dani have heart-to-hearts and really open up to Dani. Have we ever seen Ashely and Andre have similar moments?
  16. I wouldn't even say it's sassy gay man, but sometimes it sounds like forced poetic verse. I cringed the few times characters said "I love you something fierce." I was like what in the Maya Angelou is going on here. There have been more instances of characters speaking in ways that sound unnatural to the modern ear. Look we all love a memorable soap line, but those aren't forced. They happen at the right moment. A lot of times the dialogue seems to want to have a moment where it really should just move the story along. The first few weeks, I made a similar complaint where some of the dialogue seemed to be written for a novel not the screen. There are things that resonate while reading that sound ridiculous when spoken in regular day to day conversation. Interestingly, I do think it has gotten much better so I haven't noticed as much.
  17. Bill said something like "Thanks for pulling these Atlanta files," while Caroline had the box on her lap. Caroline then sets it down next to the chair. Hayley definitely didn't plan for the box to be there, but it's still possible she saw the box and fell intentionally.
  18. Jan doesn't have to worry about Andre taking Ashley anywhere because of his work. That man has been in town for damn near 6 months and ain't book a gig yet and he can't hold a camera worth a damn. At this point, Andre is just using Ashley to eventually get on her nurse health insurance. He must have blown through all his money on women and drugs while abroad. Yesterday's episode was fine. I wasn't as wowed by it as some of yall, and today was okay too. Joey/Vanessa/Doug still don't care. Surprisingly, I am interested in whatever stunt Hayley is trying to pull here. I do admire the nevre and audacity of this woman wearing skin tight clothing while faking a whole pregnancy.
  19. I just checked. They did not perform this song on Friday's episode. Not sure why I thought they performed this one as well on Friday. It was just one group song and Anita's solo. However, we have heard today's song before on the show.
  20. The tribute in the beginning was meh for me, but Anita at the end was much more impactful. Andre saying Barabara was hilarious tho. I don't know why I found that so funny.
  21. Wasn't it the same song as Friday's?
  22. I assumed Anita has some sort of remembrance for Barbara planned, but I was so unmoved. It was fine 🙂 Also, those tickets were steep for a stage that is bare, no outfit changes, and a simple screen flashing Articulettes - not even a single visual.
