  1. I'm curious as to what some of this board's theories are about Madison speaking to Nicole. It is obviously foreshadowing to something to come, but I wasn't sure what. Was she referring to anyone in particular when discussing her fear of getting too emotionally invested in a patient. Is this hinting that Madison is feeling something for Derek or that she might be having feelings for another patient? Have we ever learned about Madison's sexuality? Is she into women only?
  2. Overall, I thought today's episode was good. It showed that there are good bones but there is a lot of work needed in terms of daily story development and progression. I think the Derek story would have worked better a little further down the line. I think Shanice being his PT might work into them getting closer. I liked seeing Ted interact with Doug. Two characters I honestly don't care much for, but it breathed new life into them having them interact with each other.
  3. ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜‚ I do wish they had used a more age appropriate actress to play Leslie's mother.
  4. That's what I was thinking. So Peaches and Leslie fell out for damn near 20 years at least if Eva don't even remember her. Also, the whole story about how Peaches found out about the inheritance needs more details. I am still confused how she found out about the trust. So Barbara's last known descendent (her sister) passed. Ok, so what? I understand that Barbara's sister/aunt to Leslie didn't know that Leslie was Barbara's daughter but why wouldn't Peaches have found out about this trust. However, it would be obvious that Barbara's family was suddenly living it up and people talk. So did Peaches move away and cut ties like she was supposed to?
  5. Right, I heard that part as well but it still didn't make sense to me, because Peaches seemed to have cut all contact with Barbara and moved away. Barbara has also been dead for a long time and it seems like this trust was setup early on. Why would Peaches be aware of this trust and how has other members of Barbara's family not gone through these funds already.
  6. I understood the whole Anita donating to a blind trust throughout the years to support Barbara's family. What I am confused about is how these inheritance letters have found their way to Leslie? It seems like Barbara gave the baby to Peaches and cut all contact and Peaches did a good job of not telling anyone. So how would attorneys know that Leslie is Barbara's daughter and entitled to any of this money? Also, if it is assumed that Barbara had no children, wouldn't her money already be distributed to her other closest relatives? Or are we to assume this money has been sitting there for decades with Anita adding more throughout the years and those running her blind trust haven't informed her of the issue with tracking down Barbara's family?
  7. I noticed that too and was hoping it wasn't some foreshadowing. We don't need all these men to be cheaters within the first 6 months.
  8. I thought it was going to be Dante Green and that's why he convinced the other girls that Barbara wasn't good for the group because he ended up getting her pregnant. However, Peaches said that Barbara got pregnant a year after she was kicked out of the group.
  9. Enjoying the Dani, Vanessa, and Nicole sharing a scene and doing girl talk. Wouldn't mind if they added Pam, and did brunch at the country club a la SATC.
  10. I just keep thinking back to MVJ post about you might not like where things are going but trust that they're going somewhere. Meanwhile, I'm like are you sure, because the way some of these stories are playing out it seems like there was no plan or foresight.
  11. I'm all for new sets, but I think a salsa night at Uptown wasn't a bad idea. The execution, however, was horrible. They could have easily had a few extras and a few cast in the background also learning with the instructor bouncing around from pair to pair. Would have loved to see Smitty and Martin dancing ๐Ÿ˜† Anyway, the same situations could have taken place where the instructor mocks Tomas and takes his place with Kat, etc. Then, Tomas could have stepped in and Kat and him could have dazzled the crowd. However, a closed lounge with two people and an instructor was odd. It could have also been a great way to have Naomi/Jacob/Smitty/Martin interact. The instructor having them change partners Naomi and Smitty going back and forth about Naomi's meddling and Jacob and Martin tip toeing around his secret. And then switch again
  12. Wow, this thread is hot. There was a lot for me to catch up on. I don't believe treating your own child is illegal, but it is unethical and very much discouraged in the practice. I genuinely just wish we could see Nicole be his mother instead of having this very clinical approach with him. It honestly made me uncomfortable watching those scenes with Nicole and Martin. I was glad Dani barged in. Similarly, Naomi and Jacob have this super weird interactions with Smitty and Martin surrounding this June stuff. It came across like they weren't even family and like they were talking to clients. For example, when Jacob went to shake Smitty and Martin's hand after dropping the June bomb. It was giving Jacob in cop mode. I guess it does fit his goody two shoes personality, but why is Naomi giving the same energy? Is it the writing? I have to agree with whoever said they don't really know what to do inbetween reveals. This week especially feels like we are going from plot point to plot point with very little development.
  13. Oh lord. I think that's just fan hysterics. I hope this show doesn't pull a stunt like that.
  14. Another point on today's episode, June went from an addict to clean to paying with play money and block out memories to completely normal after reading a letter in a day. Now, we have had crazier things happen on a soap, but the speed is just throwing it all off and making it so ridiculous. Is someone trying to sabatoge this soap or did the writers who came in find some of these stories so dumb that they're now rushing them.
  15. Anyone else feel like Vernon and Anita were doing too much? Like I totally get being angry at your son-in-law for the betrayal, but all the damn meddling was weird. Nicole can handle her own. Am I misremebering but didn't Anita or Vernon at one point tell Ted to fight for Nicole? Now they're acting like he was some worthless scum all along.
  16. Absolutely. From what June said, it seems her time in the hospital is what helped her get clean. I remember when Naomi got the hospital to extend her stay and mentioning why June isn't going through withdrawals if she really is an addict. The whole episode gave me whiplash at the speed things went. A woman appears at Leslie's door, refers to Leslie as her daughter and then boom she's dying, but wait that's not all. She also wants to tell her who her the identity of her actual mother. WHAT!!??
  17. Dang Uptown's salsa night is over just like that. I guess when you only get two people to show ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Could have used some extras.
  18. There she is! June got her She's All That makeover and she's apparently drug free for a few months now.
  19. I kinda actually love this idea. Someone who is part of the family and the Duprees have them around, but they never fell in line with the Dupree way of thinking or seeing things. They're their own person, but the family look down on them a bit.
  20. I completely agree, but I am so uninterested in this June storyline that I am glad it is progressing so quickly.
  21. I would have much rather Naomi decided to keep it a secret and used the fact that it was a closed adoption to soothe her feelings of telling June and Regina she would help them, but changing her mind when she realizes it involved her cousin. Then eventually it can all blow up in Naomi's face when June and Regina figure it out or catch Naomi in her lie. This is the third time I have said this about BTG, but... where ๐Ÿ‘ is ๐Ÿ‘ the ๐Ÿ‘ drama ๐Ÿ‘
  22. I also hate that Allison just rolled up at the country club, because Diego gave her a guest pass. Trainers at top country clubs are usually exclusive and definitely wouldn't bring outside guests to train at the facility. It would be completely different if Diego was a member and not an employee.
  23. Really dumb and clearly an oversight. Totally get it that she didn't recognize them in June's warn photo, but she should have recognized them in Regina's photo on her phone.
  24. This episode is getting on my nerves. The amount of times I said "that's stupid" at such ridiculous choices. Oh well, I guess Celia Cruz got a shout out...Azzzรบรบรบccaarrr
  25. Wasn't that just the nurses station set filmed at a different angle?
