  1. Yep! It was such an ugly move.
  2. What the hell was Anita thinking asking the Articulettes about performing solo? Anita said she would only do this concert for the Articulettes. This was all about making things right with them. She turned that guy down and she was right. She could have told the girls if she wanted to, but now she's fishing in hopes they say sure go ahead. I don't know if this is to show us how selfish Anita really is, just clueless writing that doesn't see how they are actually painting Anita, or just a way for the show to get TT a way to showcase her voice. Overall, it's just bad.
  3. I guess I'm in the minority here, because I did not think today's episode of Leave It to the Duprees was that great. I'm always down for a lighthearted episode where we can just see characters mingle and bond, but some of it was too cheesy. Fashionsita Chelsea comes in rocking her bedazzled jorts and calls out the Articulette's outfits for being dated and just up and changes them in minutes. Meanwhile, we already know the Articulettes are gonna come out looking like this: The most tension came from Smitty not wanting to go to Anita's concert and in comes Vernon to save the day. I kind of hate this angle of Nicole being Martin's therapist - like major conflict of interest there. Obviously, Martin isn't paying for her services, but it is still not advised to treat a child as a patient. The relationship is too close to do it well. Also, Nicole just needs to be his damn mother. Nicole as a professional should know that Martin should be seeing a therapist that does not know him personally so he could get the actual help he needs. She is a well connected woman and can find someone with ease. Just from a viewer's perspective, I don't want to see Nicole be Martin's therapist either, I want her to be his mom.
  4. What's put you off the character so much? I agree she's become a little cartoonish lately, but TMG is entertaining to watch.
  5. Andre needs to just leave IMO. I can't take that character at all. Now Keith being Kat's boyfriend
  6. Leslie did an episode or two ago. She mentioned that she had a feeling that Kat was involved in messing with the accreditation. She told Ted that Eva didn't directly say Kat did it, but she knows her daughter.
  7. Okay, well, ummmm...that hundredth episode didn't hit but congrats are due anyway. I sorta feel like Kat, yep we did a thing but I wasn't really feeling it. Eva was too emotional over Tomas. Like girl get a grip. They've hardly developed any sort of meaningful relationship for her to feel that way. It may be a fault on the show's part for not developing that dynamic more fully for the viewer before giving us this torn up Eva moment or it might just be that I think Tomas ain't s.hit. Yikes, Alex's acting is rooougghh. I honestly couldn't tell whether the words he was telling Kat were genuine or if he was playing her by saying all the stuff he thinks she wants to hear. The man was just reading words off the page. Joey has got to be the least intimidating mobster in all of DMV. The Joey and Doug scenes came across more humorous than foreboding.
  8. Tomas ain't [!@#$%^&*]. Why is he even having this conversation with Eva and again saying wayyyy too much.
  9. No, it was never mentioned. This is our first time hearing it, so maybe like Cheap21 said she may have been cleaned up at this point. Although, how a person in June's position was able to do that I don't know.
  10. No way I can root for Ashley when she keeps making Derek seem like the bad guy when she was clealry checked out and interested in Andre this whole time.
  11. Happy Hundredth!!! Andre and Ashley Also, why was our Kitty Kat wearing her watch over her sweater like that?
  12. But how would June not have gone through severe withdrawals while Naomi had her in that hospital for an extended stay like it was a Motel 6?
  13. Oh wow! Great eye. I always wondered why the scenes in Tyrell's room were filmed that way. Made it seem like his room was a walk-in closet.
  14. Do we know if Doug and Vanessa's bedroom was an actual specific set or a redressed one? I doubt and hope they wouldn't build a bedroom set for Doug and Vanessa for that singular scene. They honestly could have used Dani's bedroom or Naomi/Jacob's swap out some furniture and dim those lights low and it would have done the trick. I don't think Naomi needs an office at this point. Besides June, we aren't really seeing much of her work in action and I don't see characters just popping up at her place of work.
  15. You're absolutely right.
  16. Would that mean that they're taping about 15 weeks ahead with the break they had in early June.
  17. I'm really glad that she told Ted the money was for her mom. I honestly thought they were going to have Eva ask and treat Ted like an absolute fool as if he couldn't put two and two together. He literally just shut down Dana and now her daughter is asking for money. I thought they were going to make this a whole thing where Ted gets angry with Eva because she asked for money and didn't tell him she was giving it to Dana, but luckily it didn't play out that way. Also, isn't Ted footing the Bill for Eva's hotel. That's way more than whatever Lesile's rent could be. Ted should have said you love your momma so much than go live with her and I will pay the rent on that apartment and give her some spending money each month in the meantime. It would still come out cheaper than whatever he must be paying for that hotel room.
  18. It would be a really tricky case. Once a child is adopted the biological parents forfeit any parental rights. Similarly in an adoption, the courts are not required to notify extended family unless they already had some sort of legal custody or were a court-ordered caregiver. Considering their age, the court would factor the children's wishes highly in such a case and in this situation there wouldn't be a case to begin with.
  19. I hate to say it, but I still don't care about this June story 😒 Ty and Sam are June's biological children who she willingly gave up and they've been adopted. Sam and Ty have said themselves they are super happy with their lives. I hope they don't push some convoluted custody battle. If Regina and even June want to be part of Sam and Ty's life than fine, but a custody battle over THESE grown kids who are happy and rich is not the story I'm checking for. Similarly, these timelines and ages are insane. Ty and Sam look super young in those photos and according to Regina they were adopted soon after in a really quick and closed adoption. How old were Smitty and Martin when they adopted?
  20. The lack of sets just becomes more evident each day. Of course, we didn't see Naomi at Regina's home and she conveniently tracks down Naomi at Orphey Gene's. I wish they hadn't made a whole thing about Jacob providing Naomi with an address and Naomi going to Regina's home if they weren't going to show it. Obviously, Regina doesn't need a set as she probably won't be a central character, but even I who was quite sympathetic about sets is getting a little turned off by Orphey's.
  21. Is Alex worse than Brandon? I'm not sure. Alex hasn't exactly been given anything meaty for me to judge. Overall, he is not good. His scenes with Kat are a bit robotic, but so are Brandon's. There have been moments when Brandon has definitely been fair, and did an okay-ish job, but I'm not going to play myself and say he's done well or is a good actor at this stage. Those big scenes have been particularly rough for him and I am not sure how anyone would think they were good, but different strokes and all that. The only difference is that I wouldn't care if Tomas was recast whereas I would care if they recast Martin.
  22. I have to second this. First, I was like where is June getting money? Then, I caught a glimpse of the money, and I thought it was international currency as many countries have colorful notes. I assumed this was going to be some indication that June isn't everything she says she is. Then, as I noticed the child-like drawings on the paper, I was like you got to be kidding me. What was the purpose of that? It makes June seem mentally unwell when everything else about her screams coherent and well aware of the reality around her. Where along the line would she think play money is acceptable form of payment? Like it's just ridiculous because it doesn't match how June is depicted. She's homeless and down on her luck, but she's not crazy.
  23. Absolutely. This isn't a teenager losing it for the first time carelessly. She has waited and made that choice consciously. Seems pretty weird that she just waited this long and was so willing to give it up on a couch.
