  1. I've been catching bits of Y&R recently since I'm home, but it's just background noise as I do things before watching BTG, but I need to ask. Why are all these people in a labyrinth/maze? It's so odd since I have no idea what's going on and everytime I look up there's someone in this garden maze.
  2. Tomas really set up Eva bad. I'm glad she let him know what time it was. How are you not going to hide and then act so stupidly.
  3. As much as I agree, it some ways it also feels like anyone can be President.
  4. Jacob knew there was no camera footage from Orphey's, he knows who Lesile is and he definitely knows who Nicole is, he should have walked into Nicole's house and said look there's nothing really here but I have time get a statement and we are going to wrap this up just promise not to get yourself provoked by Lesile again because I don't want to make this a thing. This happens all the time, too. I am ranting about Jacob. I don't mind that he is being played as this overly by the book character because it will obviously bring drama down the line.
  5. Then, why lie to Bill about having an ultrasound?
  6. The idea of the Allison/Chelsea/Madison triangle is solid, but it is moving way too fast. I wished they had developed Chelsea's role in Craig and Allison's relationship more fully and then explored Chelsea and Allison as a pairing more deeply. I'm curious to understand why Allison pushed Chelsea away when she first suggested seeing her separately. Was this already part of Allison's game or was it genuine and Allison felt conflicted about seeing Chelsea without Craig? What were Craig and Allison's rules for bringing in a third party? It also would have been interesting if Allison did randomly appear with a bruise before all this potential abuse had started. A real bruise that Craig caused or one caused by accident, but Chelsea would have called back to how she remembered Allison coming to her with a bruise and being weird about it. It would create more doubt around Allison's motives. Jacob pisses me off! Families and friends with connections with police, usually count on police to downplay or soften things like this, especially well connected families like the Duprees. It would be another thing if this was a murder. On top of it all, we are dealing with Leslie here who Jacob is well aware of his antics. I understand he wants to play by the book, but the way he approached Nicole (who is family) was wild. He could have said look Nicole, I need to get this statement and I will let you know that Leslie is claiming x,y, and z. Instead, he was ready to take her in. The irony is that he wants to do his job so well by playing by every rule to the extreme, but he needs to rely on Kat and Smitty to make sense of anything.
  7. Very curious how they will make this work, because unless Leslie is seriously redeemed, it will be hard to look as Ted as anything but pathetic. He claims to have ruined his marriage on a mistake yet seems to allow and give Lesile the time of day anytime she is around. The fact they have a daughter together keeps them tied, but unless Lesile tones it down, it just is hard to believe. Ted has done a complete 180 nearly. It is hard to understand the character. Omg, yes! Just what I was thinking. Great reflection. It's conflicting, because the actress is so good, but it does come across cartoonish sometimes.
  8. For someone who says they don't want to put Kat's laundry out there he is putting it alllll out there even the fact he denied her.
  9. So Nicole choking out Leslie at Orphey Gene's, the press conference/Kenny's death, Nicole and Dani finding out, Hayley showing Bill the sonogram, the Articulette's showing up at Anita's door, Bill and Ted's convo, Eva fixing the accreditation and gathering Kat and Ted, Alison running into Orphey's and to the hospital all happened in a 24ish hour period...hmmm interesting. I guess Haley is only 10 weeks. 😆
  10. Hayley's motive from an outside perspective is unclear, especially when Bill has done nothing to make Hayley feel insecure in their relationship. In fact, he has proven that Dani is nothing to him in front of Hayley more than once. As a few of you mentioned, it doesn't help that Hayley has no one to talk to and give us insights to her internal dialogue and workings. There have been moments where we can interpret that Hayley is interested in a come up like when she whined about not being accepted in the country club and we have seen similar moments of jealousy when Bill and Dani have talked and Hayley shoots her death glare. However, these are very small instances to have pushed Hayley to fake a whole pregnancy. I could understand had things happened or at least appeared to be reigniting between Dani and Bill, but at this point it seems pretty poor foresight and heavy risk to try and pull a stunt like this.
  11. I know that some on here peeped June's well manicured hands and how glaring that was to be an overlooked mistake. I mean it could have been really careless, but what if June is Hayley's surrogate and she's providing for her in some ways. Although, it would be super messy to have your surrogate living out in the underpass.
  12. I really hope so. I can do without an alcoholism story for a while.
  13. I'm assuming it's a surrogate. How else is she going to pull this off being 10 weeks and all. Eventually, she's going to need to put a whole lot of effort into faking it. Wonder where they are going with all of this.
  14. Same reason Hayley is still 10 weeks pregnant even though almost 3 whole weeks have passed (not including the week we had repeats) since Hayley had her scare. So much has happened since then, I would have preferred she said 11 weeks at least.
  15. Definitely. I think it was further highlighted when Vernon said that Nicole and Dani never had to go through something like that and how Anita and Vernon shielded them from it. The Dupree offspring have lived in privelege and they can be detached from harsh realities that everyday people have to go through. I can't with the internet sometimes 😅 Well I guess Hot Girl Summer for Nicole.
  16. I think it's one of those weird instances where we think they dropped a story, but then it pops back up again. Sorta how we thought Malone and Elon were dropped for a sec. I'm sure it will be back.
  17. I'm assuming they didn't want Nicole/Ted and Nicole/Martin to go down in the same episode. I felt more positively towards this episode, because there was real emotion from Daphnee and Karla really played her parts so well. I thought the Nicole/Ted scenes highlighted how far from over the affair she feels. Her arguments about Ted not telling her were rooted in her hurt around the lies of the affair, because where was this anger towards her father and why isn't she more looking at herself and questioning why her son chose not to come to her for two years. Yes, he was being advised by Vernon not to speak, but at some point if he really felt he needed his mom he would have turned or her. There is some weird fracture between Martin and his parents and I wonder if it is intentional and the writers will play into it or if it was an accident brought about by the way stories have been written thus far.
  18. Ted is a terrible father to Martin.
  19. I haven't said this in a while, but today's episode was a good episode.
  20. I understand Nicole's anger towards Ted, but she needs to realize that her son is grown and he chose for two years not to confide in her when he had that choice. Maybe she should be asking why he chose not to come to his own mother even when he was clealry struggling with this secret. Ted wasn't even there and Vernon who was decided to also keep it from Nicole. I get that this is her husband but I also get wanting to protect his wife from everything that this entails.
  21. If the strange dynamics that have played out in the Anita&Vernon/Martin/Nicole&Ted relationships are intentional and an avenue to show how the grandparents have co-opted the parental role from Nicole/Ted because a) Martin is the first grandchild and b) he is the only male Dupree offspring, I can live with it. I know we have all beat a dead horse that Martin should've been Anita and Dante Green's...ermm Vernon's child, but it just isn't so. If this is the alternative then I can roll with it. It would have been more believable if Nicole had been a teen mom or something and Anita pretty much raised Martin, but I guess there is an aspect of doting that happens with the first grandchild. Also, Martin has followed closely in his grandad's footsteps either by admiration for his grandad or by design. I wonder how goody two shoes cop Jacob is going to handle not only the revelation that Martin and Vernon covered up a murder because they were victims of a hate crime, but that his father was involved. It seems that as a black man and police officer, Jacob is caught in the middle. He is very much by the book and black and white - something his father doesn't seem to be. While I am sure Jacob will empathize with Martin, I do not feel he would think they shouldn't have gone above the law. One other thing I noticed and I wonder if others feel the same is that the drama seems to be muted. The tension is not overt or palpable. I know that one of the goals with BTG may have been to modernize the soap opera, but many times it feels like the tension is missing. It feels like things just are. They happened and that's what it is, but there is no deep suspense or drama.
  22. Yes! But it's not the first time they've done this on a Friday episode where the previews were more exciting than the cliffhanger or lack thereof. Well Orphey's is where he found out Kenny was dead during his tense and dropped press conference on the secret. That leaves Uptown.
  23. The episode was fine. The choices were odd. This conversation with Anita should have happened after Martin told Nicole. Also, where 👏 is 👏 the 👏 drama 👏? Where is it? No dramatic cliffhanger? Nicole just learned her son killed someone.
  24. Yes! I was like hold up. Don't go and zero in on Ted doing this surgery and not telling you when your grandad and son who were victims of this attack never said a word to you about it and it should be on them whether or not you knew anything at all.
