  1. I have grown accustomed to his more casual interactions with other actors. It sounds a little less like he's narrating Reading Rainbow and has a more natural flowly conversation feel mixed his unique cadence and tone. However, there is no denying those bigger emotional reactions come across poorly. I am not calling for a recast at all. This is how I felt about Ted. The acting needed work, but the actor should be able to stay and given the resources to improve. I second Smitty and Jacob not needing to be involved romantically. I enjoy their friendship and I wouldn't mind there being some unfounded spousal jealousy because of how close those two become, but I do not need them to actually cheat. Friends is a good direction for them. Glad he has a sense of humor about it, but Martin should have been home teaching these kids some lessons because they're a mess as teens.
  2. Also, Martin's family is now involved and he still refused to tell them anything. Meanwhile, Martin doesn't fully know the secret to begin with, so it is a bit maddening. He wants to protect his family, so tell them they're in danger and why they might be. How dumb is it that Martin knows Kenny is out there and he just lets Samantha go to the park, where Kenny apparently tracked Ty done originally. I didn't mind the trees as some of you did, but it did bother me that the park was completely empty. Ashley is right that pregnancy cravings are usually heightened or occur during the second trimester, but as a nurse she should also know that every body is unique and it is not uncommon at all to have cravings happen in the first trimester. As a nurse, she should know that. She was acting like it was impossible. Granted she is suspicious of Hayley at this point, but still seemed weird. Furthermore, Hayley is technically second trimester by now anyway. When she had those cramps with Dani, we learned she is 10 weeks pregnant, so that would mean by now she should be at least 13 weeks or at the start of her second trimester.
  3. Honestly, best scene Ashley has had so far IMO. JJ does not do the emotional stuff well. Every sad scene or crying scene was so painful to watch, but this meddling stuff came across much better. I hope I don't end up regretting saying this.
  4. It is time for someone to spill this secret, even if it's just a small part of it. It is starting to feel like those awful clickbait stories online "You'll Never Guess What She Did When She Caught her Husband Cheating with the Best Man." You click through slides and ads, but the story really doesn't go anywhere, it just regurgitates really vague details and you are stuck flipping through each slide until you finally get to the end and it's usually not very satisfying.
  5. I don't necessarily think it's regression. Around the same time that everyone was saying BC was showing growth, I mentioned that he has shown some growth in his more casual scenes, but whenever he needs to give more emotion, it comes across unintentionally funny. Bc needs some work and it's one of the downfalls of giving such green actors such heavy material, because we all get taken right out of the moment. The same is true for the Chelsea character. I think the way her whole love life is being written is a little ridiculous, but the actress isn't helping either.
  6. I agree with a lot of what you said. I also agree with the weirdness in continuity and the progression of stories. We saw all the men gathered in Bill's office and nothing came of that. We saw no follow through of what that conversation was and why they would choose not to have that scene at all. At first, I thought they would flashback to it, but now I just think they wanted to maintain Martin's secret hidden from the audience for longer. Yet, you had all that cast together and you delivered nothing. It could have been quite the scene. Also, the cliffhanger with Ty and Kenny and now Sam and Kenny made me feel absolutely nothing. It just felt so beyond stupid that a teenager and a 30 year old (kidding) would interact with strangers in that way. At least, Samantha is out in a public place and who knows maybe Kenny asked her something, but I still didn't care. We just need to know the secret and I am hoping that the secret is actually layered and not as basic as I am starting to assume it might be. They played it up like it is something no one has guessed and it was going to be something. It seems more and more like it might not be that special.
  7. I'm watching on Plex, but I noticed something odd in episode 8 of season 2. When Karl explains that Michael is hyperkinetic, he asks Karen if she knows what it means and whatever Karen original says is dubbed over with "neurological." It is quite obvious because the flow of conversation is interrupted and the mouth doesn't match what is said. Is there some antiquated term for "neurological" that can be perceived as offensive today?
  8. Really minor and insignificant question, but I noticed the actor who plays Dave Culver on Dallas is on the episode of Knots Landing titled "Kristin." Interestingly, he mentions coming from Washington, but he isn't playing Dave. Pretty sure that Tom Fuccello had already appeared on Dallas by this time, so interesting to pair him with Kristin who is also from the Dallas-verse as a different character. As you all probably know, Priscilla Pointer, who also plays Pam's mom on Dallas portrayed a different character on Knots season one, but she wouldn't appear on Knots for another year or so. I also noticed she just passed, which was sad but also incredible to see she lived to see 100. I hope they were mostly healthy and peaceful.
  9. We need things to move along with this Martin secret. The stop and go formula knocks a bit of the life out of it. I was a bit bored today, but will give it a proper rewatch later. I mean the most exciting part for me was Naomi's hair in the previews.
  10. This Articulette mess is giving Xscape: Still Kickin' It vibes. Anita (Kandi) doesn't need this tour to be successful, because she already has money. The other band members are bitter because one of them left to seek their own solo success and also mad that she was always bossy and trying to control everything (Latocha). Here with go with the Articulette Strong again. No, Chelsea. You are not being followed... you pretty much live at Uptown.
  11. Thanks everyone for your answers. Definitely seems like Abby was brought in for season 2 to stir the pot. From what I've seen so far, season 2 does have more of an interconnectedness between the episodes that was not really present in the first season. Abby to me is super unlikeable so far. She needs to rein in those kids. They annoy me through the tv screen, but it is fitting because she seems a bit absent. She's also already throwing herself at everyone's man.
  12. It's just not authentic. Who nowadays naturally speaks that way? It is not an accent that is around today unless you are forcing it or playing a role. I would have preferred a watered down British accent from someone who has lived here for a long time.
  13. Haha...that was my same thought. Well, where else would you be? Oh wow. Sorry to hear but glad they are all fine. I will also do a rewatch on Paramount+ today, because I am tuning in and out. I'm a bit bored if I am honest.
  14. I wondered the same thing and assumed that this Dr. Perkins must be somehow involved in the baby mess with Hayley. Either she is being paid off, bribed, manipulated, or something more sinister and she is in cahoots with Hayley for whatever reason. Otherwise, I don't get it either. Also, what is Hayley's end goal if the pregnancy is in fact not real. Hayley was supposedly 10 weeks pregnant when she was rushed to the hospital after her argument with Dani. Even if she were to get pregnant for real right now, there is no justifying the timeline...it will be obvious she lied. What is she hoping to do? Is this Dr. Perkins going to get her a baby. I also agree. It is getting a bit to ugly on Kat's part. Like I totally understand why she is angry, but to mess with you father's practice just to make your sister look bad is a touch extreme when Eva is not to blame for her father's infidelity and sister. She's also a snob and pretentious for someone who is supposed to be "good."
  15. Thank you. Well, I've started season 2 now and I am curious to see what that looks like and how it will differ from season 3.
  16. All I kept thinking was how someone mentioned here that TMG takes some liberties with her dialogue and what if she went a little extra in this scene and the dude in the back wasn't expecting all that.
  17. I have a question for Knots fans. When did the series turn to long form soap opera storytelling or multi-episodic arcs? I just started and finished the first season and the episodes are mostly self contained with the exception of the final two episodes of the season with the second being a continuation of the first. There are elements and bits and pieces that overlap between episodes that create a thread but overall stories are pretty confined to the one episode with a clear beginning, middle, and end. Having watched all of Dallas, I know it too started off with self contained episodes and eventually shifted to more season long storytelling. I know Knots also makes that transition, but having not watched all of the series...I am curious when this happens and how fans view season 1 or earlier seasons of the show.
  18. I really didn't need this Dani and Andre situation to take this direction right now. I could have been spared seeing them go to bed for the 100th time. We hardly get any love scenes, but we have seen Dani and Andre at it multiple times and lord knows how many times we need to flashback to Vanessa and Joey. Also, NuTed is an all around idiot. Did he really drive Leslie home? Like boy, you just keep getting played and buy into the manipulation. Ashley was pushing it with her attitude today, but surprisingly since came across as bratty and intolerable.
  19. I agree. Leslie has been pushing, pushing, pushing relentlessly and Nicole has let it slide. Eventually, you can only take so much.
  20. Is Tehddd-dy /Dana voice out of his damn mind? Why is he going off on Eva for this accreditation stuff? She literally just got the job. Something this important should have been reviewed by him or followed up by Kat. His annoyance is completely misplaced. Even though Kat set Eva up, it still doesn't make sense for Ted to be mad at Eva. If something as serious as accreditation was going to lapse that soon between change of hands in positions than the blame lies solely on Ted and Kat. 1) because Ted should have let Eva know about it if it was now going to be her responsibility especially knowing damn well she had no one to properly train her and 2) this should have been Kat's responsibility to follow through with in the first place or delegate it to someone else knowing she was just going to up and leave that job. It honestly didn't make any sense.
  21. Wow...interesting that you feel that way, because I don't see it at all. As for chemistry on the show, I do feel it with Dani and Bill, Naomi and Jacob to an extent (more so I believe they love and care for one another), and that's about it.
  22. Right, but is that the narrative we are to believe or are we supposed to actually think Andre is right in this situation? If they decide to push the idea that Andre fell back on his f boy ways, because he got scared when he realized that it was serious when Dani is telling people and his Aunt Nicole called him out on his past behavior, then cool. However, it seems like the show really wants us to believe that Andre truly thinks Ashley is this magnificent and incredible woman. He has been infatuated since the birth in the elevator. But there is such a contrast between what he thinks is so amazing and what we as viewers have seen...she is a brat, she is emotionally dysregulated but so is Dani, and she is bland. We don't know what the writers have in store, but are they going to have Andre come to the same realization or are we really to believe Ashley is so great. They need to drop that 5k deposit nonsense. A 5k deposit is not suspicious in 2025, especially from a professional with a decent paying job. DC cops with years in service, the level of experience as Malone, and senior positions bring in way more than 5k a month. Selling old cars or other valuable items could generate that money or passive streams of income. Yes, sure it was in cash, but it isn't something extremely concerning. If it was occurring multiple times then sure. Now, the 500k cash deposit is a red flag. I wish they had at least made the other deposit larger like 50k. Which police officer would risk their livelihood for 5k. That's nothing in the grand scheme of things. One thing if Joey said I can give you 100k now and 509k when you finish the job, but 5k?
  23. Andre is so ugh! He is also wrong in this situation. I couldn't stand Andre from the start, which is an unpopular opinion, but he just does nothing for me. He is supposed to be some playboy, which was brought up by Ashley and Dani again both yesterday and today, but he moves like Eeyore in Playboy drag. For starters (on yetserday's episode), it was cringy when he asked Ashley what he can keep doing, because she hadn't looked over at Derek and Shanice for a while. Smooth as sandpaper for someone who is supposed to be a Smooth Operator /Sade. So whack! Also, what is he even talking about with Dani? Saying she's not clear with her intentions when we have seen her be very open and honest with him. She also told her sister and daughter about their relationship, which he practically forced the idea on her...and for what? When Nicole questioned him what he wanted with Dani, he, himself, said that he wasn't sure and that they were figuring that out. So, why the pressure? Also, both are too damn grown to be telling family they are with someone to not even be in a committed relationship. Unless, you have defined whatever the hell you are doing, your families do not need to know all that business. Dani just got out of a messy and chaotic divorce and he hasn't had a real relationship probably ever, so again...why all the pressure on his end? If he really cares that much for Dani why not give her the time? Why not keep things under wraps and allow each other to date around? But to force her to tell people, just to go try and mess around with other women is not cute. Then the worst offense is his infatuation with Ashley. I was so glad Dani said what we were all thinking. Ma'am is basic. I am like please tell me these writers aren't trying to have us believe that Ashley isn't anything but. Either make Andre an f boy and have him own it or don't have him move this way. He really thought he was in the right. Dani should have said some of that energy she had for Danielle to eat Andre up too.
  24. I haven't watched yet, but personally I like the version "makes warm milk look spicy," but LOL either way 😆
  25. I'm joking, but the way Ashley reacts to minor things, I can see girl spiraling if anything major ever came her way.
