Well, before Nixon Falls, it looks like Nina was about to go off the deep end (and CW would have eaten that up). So... Awww. I think if they would just let Ava be a villainess with wiggle room of an ace up her sleeves (think Sami on DAYS in her bad ole days in the 90s) she might still have legs. PM definitely prove it was possible. Now these writers...just look at this B story. First Cody/Ava/Ric/Liz which surprisingly had legs to it. Then, Ric with Alexis/Ava/Kristina could have been something, too. But alas.

Very true. But I've been enjoying Nina read her. Given how Willow's been acting, I feel like that could very much happen. Then Nina could bust her.

He might be. It just seems like it's being brought up (Deanna fragile) for a reason. Well, we are overdue an event. Again. Hehe. She should be. But Hayley can't do that. I feel like Dani's conversation to Bill about who Hayley is last week might be foreshadowing to what she is. So I would assume that Hayley/Randy might actually have backstory with Bill that we don't know about. At least, that's my working theory now.

IKR. But that can be fixed so it's sad that it isn't. And THANK YOU for calling that woman what she is...a placeholder. And I thought that DA was bad. Same. I love Ava returning to her true 'factory setting.'

Yeah, cuz Liz isn't sidelined enough. Still annoyed that she was single with her three most popular love interests in town and also single...and they want to put Lucky...with KRISTINA??? Ha!

LOL!!! Don't!!! That's how I feel. Like when the Nathan storyline started, Van was acting like Lucas really and truly knew Nathan. I had more or less stop watching near the end of RC's run so was Carnes's Lucas THAT close to Nathan when Nathan and Maxie finally got together and married? Cuz that was a head scratcher to me. But I do feel both actors are Lucas even if they are different.

Well, they can dump Kate Mansi. A waste. I totally would have been down for Ava taking Sonny to that altar. High drama.

I can see that. I think he's good so far, definitely not AA, but totally has more room to grow. For now, his acting for me reminds of his tv father which is a good step.

They are definitely in transition. Into what is the question. It seems like Doug, Bill/Dani/Andre are becoming the main stories with Eva vs Kat being the solid B story it is. And we have the Martin/Smitty stuff waiting in the wings, providing C plot for the last few weeks...along with Dark Derek. But it could be my train of thought since I just finished rewatching last week. But definitely shifts are going on. I don't hate it since I mentioned a week ago that Doug/Vanessa/Joey and everything Dani/Andre had enough build to them that they both had legs to go...and boy, are they going. That said...I am getting impatient about how some things (Baby Lie, The 'perils' of the SilkPress vs the Duprees, Nicole's love life, Kenny's murder) have been bits and pieces in a way that they were not before. Especially when some of the above flows better. Usually when it is mentioned, it pops up again. However, is it going to take until November Sweeps for some of what I mentioned above?

I understand. She did a good job though on B&B. I could see her as a new cosmetic creator that Deception might want to cozy up to for sales. She comes across Sonny and you know how that does. And as soon as they get together...it turns out...she knows Brenda. lol. I like him in the role though I do prefer Ryan Crane more. He would be Number 4 in the department I mentioned easy. I honestly see Alexa and Krista battling for Number 2...or probably for me tied because they both were seamless in their recast roles and the writing really did a good job with them. Rory has Number 1 on lock. He definitely was. I would say if it wasn't for how the story ended with the writer switch, they should go for Ava/Sonny, but alas. As is...Nina/Sonny or even Alexis/Sonny both seem currently plausible. But yeah, the writing then did not give Nina/Sonny a lot of interaction. They had very little for sure before Drew/Nina really kicked into gear, but it had some. A slender thread that I liked the writer switch at least continued somewhat.

Perhaps teasing is not the right word, but he at least allowed them to still be in each other's orbits vs we act like this drama is going down and Nina would not have an opinion when it affects her.

I knew I was forgetting someone recent. Thank you. Sorry, Alexa. She did have tough shoes with Lisa Rinna (yes, HW fans I actually said her name. ), but I loved they took Billie in a different direction BITD. With Taylor, they did everything right with how to deal with a recast, and Krista took those things that are typical Taylor and made them into her own. There's a reason why people are not cottoning to Rebecca Budig in the role (I call her Taylee). Bonus...if I'm not mistaken...she did get nominated (and win?) for that role...not that awards meet too much these days. That said...I would love for her to come on and build her own character. Can you tell I'm a fan?

Not at all. I think Krista Allen would kill it just like she did a successful job as a recast Taylor on B&B. I believe she's second (to my knowledge) only to Rory Gibson in the recently 'The Audience Accepts Recast Instantly' department.

I feel that way as well. Even PM seem to be teasing a return there in the middle of the Drew/Nina hate sex stuff, too. It seems so obvious and inroads have been made in the last few years where it would make more sense...even from a drama perspective...than Little Ms. DA. Frank just needs to learn that no matter how many times he brings back a fave of his in a second/third role tries, he can't make fetch happen.

To be fair, in my time...40 was the end of gay life. NOW...it seems like (per social media) it's 25. Which made me roll my eyes. A decade before...30.
