  1. One of my favorite memories. The glamour. The gothic. The Wuthering Heights side of me was eating it up. It was well worth the wait. And I got to see it live when she walked into frame. My worry as well. It made sense (and was long overdue) to shift to Monica...which is still using the Qs as a driving force across the canvas. But honestly, all things Q have been pretty A story for months now...from Dark Michael to Drew as Villain to Willow going crazy to Who Shot Drew. And since Jason is a Q...he still gets a focus as well. But I can imagine that so much reduced Carly/Sonny focus might make someone twitch so I have felt that fear. I really felt it when Monica's Death arc started, but the show pivoted while keeping it focused (where it should be) while making the stories around it compliment, rather than distracting from what was going on. Thankfully.
  2. Oh, no. Perhaps I worded it wrong. I'm on your side in terms of KS. As of right now, this time does feel like the ones I mentioned to me. But I do worry that it will become like what happened with GF due to them going ahead and starting the Nathan storyline. Where can that story even go when the emotional center (Maxie) is not even there? I would say recast for the most part except that for this particular story to work they would need this actress. That is not to slight GF at all because we know I love Laura. It was just a comparison. Part of that comparison for me was what you mentioned being in the back of my head. This situation with KS has been ongoing, but she has come back. The timing still is sooooo odd to me. And then to START a story where her particular version of Maxie should be here is even more 'curiouser and curiouser.' Now if, as has been mentioned, it is just a way to center Britt/Jason...there are better ways to do it. But that involves better writing.
  3. The jury is still out on Ryan Quan for me. But I hope not. I'm finding Jamey Gidden's breakdowns so far, so good for me on BTG in spite of what I've heard of his writing. But is that any difference than what was going on with Kelly and Lindsay, the Year of a 1000 Mollys, and JJ and Older Will Number 2? Still I have wondered loosely if the reason they went ahead with the Nathan storyline is the fact that they are not even sure when KS will be back. Echoing the situation mentioned a few pages back about GF and the stalling of the Cassadine story back in the day. Friday cliffhangers...I can see. Now cliffhangers...I would disagree. I know there was a Friday cliffhanger I didn't like where Jason is being comforted by Danny which would have been a nice Friday coda and Monica coded. The show instead wanted to use Nathan as the cliffhanger/coda and I was like WHY? Monica is more important than Nathan and even then...outside of Dante (sorry, Anna)...there was no one majorly important involved to make him that important over Monica.
  4. Okay, I tuned in to see Nikki vs Jill. And you mean to tell me they are STILL on that story with Mariah and the 'mystery' of the man?
  5. Britt's return had a solid start for me, but it has been let down by how they have her acting since she landed in PC. And using other characters to make her comic relief that isn't good comic relief did not help her case. And right when the Monica's death arc started was just stupid. BTG also had a similar situation in the same time period where a serious storyline was going down that included a death that had a counterbalance of comedy going on with a couple (and a drag queen) that did the technique much better with better acting so it stood out even more and worse due to it. I've been saying the same thing about the Nathan storyline. They could have saved his return until Maxie returned. And doing it during the start of the Monica's death arc made it stick out like a sore thumb in a BAD way. I did like it was pivoted the second week (and making it more intriguing for me) by adding people who I care about and would be affected. KW's scenes as Felicia laid eyes on Nathan was a highlight for me. But the storyline is just unnecessary when you have Britt in Wacka Wacka Land, the story of Who Shot Drew on a simmer, messiness started with Curtis/Portia/Isaiah, etc. If anything, I'm surprised knowing RP that they did not do block filming for KS. Cuz Frank loves them block filmings. Wow, really? I feel like GH has grown surprisingly good at putting cliffhangers in their episodes. It has made my binging to catch-up extremely fun because I do want to find out what happens next. But I guess it helped there were a lot of stories going on that I loved and wanted to get into with characters that I was liking not named Jacinta. lol. But like I mentioned, I felt the writers have managed to do a lot, but still keep the momentum going, shifting nicely. Now it feels like they are about to shift into silliness or stupid stories, but fingers cross they do another shift. So it's B&B? jk!!!
  6. I said last night...if Monique is appearing THIS early...then this season must have been wild BEFORE all the Wendy drama.
  7. LOL!!! Soaps...bringing families together.
  8. I blame it on SOD's knowledge. 😜
  9. Same. Another great thing from PM was the slowly coming together of those two and so much more mature than they have ever been. And organic to boot. You sound like how I feel yesterday about how momentum seems to be getting lost with these returns because I'm afraid the writers...who have done a great job of keeping their momentum through their shifting focus from interesting story to interesting story...might jump back into their annoying writing tics. So it makes sense to me. Titan mentioned similar as well. And yes...before the resurrection of the O clan, Dr. O's airtime steadily vanished after broking up with Scotty and then she vanished. If I remember correctly, it was months later that we got a one-liner that she was gone.
  10. I do love that I am not the only one with disdain for CVE since I've come back to regular viewing BTW.
  11. I remember them being pretty popular. I too didn't mind them too much. Goodness knows they got a lot of story. Mind you, I did drop out of regular viewing mid-RC GH run which is roughly around the time they started to take off. Same. And on that, we also agree. I remember finding out Nathan died and about Chase. Observing that they were one and the same really. Both handsome though at the time, I felt RP edge CS out for me, but I have seen my type change over the last few years lol.
  12. Yeah. I don't see RP playing scary villain either. But a story about him coming back just as Maxie has found second happiness with her other popular pairing is the thing of good soap. They should stick with that. But the anvils are too clear.
  13. I totally agree. I love that about this episode and how she's not there and Karen still feels so involved in things. You just know she has to be back at the finale.
  14. For sure. Now if the writing would catch up...

Mmmm and he meets my height requirement, too.
  16. Not Victoria Winters...lol. One thing that was clear when they repeated the first week like most of the first month...it was heavy with foreshadowing. So I wouldn't be surprised if those plot threads you mentioned will play a role in the future. I was one of the few here that theorized that Mona might be Hayley's mother after that speech. And I'm still waiting to see if that will come into play. Moreso now that we are all waiting to know the connection between Hayley and Randy. And then I felt Dani telling Bill who she thought Hayley was last week was foreshadowing because Dani already was saying that Hayley was faking a pregnancy...and that turned out to be right. If Dani is right again, then the writers are going to have to reveal Hayley's backstory. Is it because Hayley is an orphan...OR is Hayley letting everyone THINK she's an orphan when she's really related to Randy and they have an unknown (for now) backstory with Bill that Bill don't know about aka revenge?
  17. Awww thank you for this. It had been on my mind since we were discussing it briefly in the thread a few days ago and I wanted to put that out there. It is just surprisingly how the A stories have shifted for me in the last 3 months. You better enjoy your life. Good to hear. I've been so busy with life so I rarely am at home to watch it live myself so I completely understand. Same for SPS. From main villainess to C plot in 3 months. But I expect some November Sweeps comments. 😜 Awww Monica's funeral...so well-done...and that montage (with AT Emily) I cried.
  18. Exactly!!! She's the MAYOR. All of what you mentioned is something she should be involved in. Outside of that one scene during the start of Monica's death on that Friday, she's been surprisingly hands off...though that probably is because of GF's annual vaca so I understand, but still... And yes to the Lucky/Sidwell angle...something else they could have used more of in Lucky's return. Not to mention to establish Isaiah even more. It DEFINITELY says something when we are sitting here dealing with the return of characters that ARE NOT a premier family...even if the current team or Frank want to think them so. And I am sad to say that I didn't even think about Dante being a person of interest in Drew being shot. Silly me! Hmmm. It's interesting you say it that way. I was just on the BTG thread talking about shifts because I feel they are gearing up for November Sweeps. Uh...GH...?? I haven't watched this past week yet, but I probably would agree as well. One of the things that I've been liking regularly watching again has been that the writers have been shifting here and there, but even when they shifted to something...the writers have already managed to not lose their momentum. I didn't like how they started the Monica's Passing Week, but I did like how they pivoted the other stories around it the following week where the first week they distracted from what should have been the focus aka Monica and used the side stories to compliment it better. That said...I would say since Britt's return, the writers do seem to be trying to lean into their annoying writing tics again, but have managed so far to always pull back enough to not bother me, but I have noticed. It's part of the reason I saw red during the Monica's Passing Week. However, I do feel that Britt's continued brattiness, Nathan's return and its clear anvils, and my hatred for Placeholder Hooker Number 2 is a sign they are about to jump off the annoying writing tics cliff. Cuz some of the interesting developments with the momentum definitely are feeling lost.
  19. I would say look at the scenes involving James. Moreso those with Britt making excuses for James not being around him. I agree. I know @carolineg and I discussed that this go-around with Britt/Jason is not at all as mature as their first go-around. They are writing her as a spoiled brat and yes, it is not working. Give her sarcastic edge. Moments of vulnerability. Yes, longing for Jason. All things KT can do and did the first time around IMHO. I even felt she did have a look of fear about something...and those are getting either far and between (some scenes with 'Nathan' have been the most recent and while I don't feel it's Nathan).
  20. Yep. Joey is on borrowed time. HAHAHA
  21. One thing Guerdy has been good at...RECIEPTS.
