Yep, yep. lol.

1-5 Finally got to sit down to watch it and today feels more like the start of 'Season 2' than Friday! lol. I loved how it flowed. I loved how good production now looks (that Jacob/Naomi sitting at the table with the table forefront was giving old school Y&R). I loved how Shanice and SPS were giving Carly vs Liz from GH circa the Liason years in the late 90s at Kelly's. And it really felt like they were setting up what the main A stories and/focus would be. Given our talk about romance on this show, that was on full display. And I was not hating. If I had to go with the A stories this time around, it would be... 1) ANITA'S CANCER. It is giving umbrella tale already from how Anita is coping to the rippling effect it has on the whole family. And with the family, the writers are really and truly going through everyone's POV. And I like that. From Vernon's last week to all the Nicole/Dani scenes (sidenote...I love that Nicole's secret food stash is still a thing!) to the effect on the next generation (giving Kat a sidestory, loving Chels's POV today as well), there's so much ground to explore. And now that we have some idea of these characters, it feels felt. And for the characters we don't have a handle on yet, well, it's allowing for that. 2) BILL/DANI/ANDRE. WE GOT A TRIANGLE YOU'LL!!!! lol. While I don't like how Andre is getting so insecure...because it's making me side-eye the writers who I've already leveled my opinion ages ago about how slanted they can be when it comes to Dani/Bill...it does play with what has already been established between Dani and Andre so I'll allowed it as long as neither of them act out of character to make Dani/Bill a thing. Cuz it's not needed. This has come together organically enough that the drama can come out of that. And heck, we still have Kristen Dimera...I mean Hayley waiting in the wings... 3) SHANICE/TED/SILK PRESS SHEILA. Now...WHEN IS SHANICE GOING TO BE ON CONTRACT??? Cuz her vs SPS this episode not only gave, but the story is truly getting legs. If this is going to be a building B plot, it's not coming across as a B plot at all. Good. Let Shanice get her moment in the sun. THEM B PLOTS... 1) TOMAS'S EXIT STORYLINE. He's gotten slllighty (I said slightly) better, but every scene he has had in the last week feels like an anvil that he's the next to go. And that continued this episode with how Kat keeps poking him about all he's focused on is that job. And it keeps being treated as a B/C plot, it can stay there, too. 2) MARCEL + SILKPRESS = FIRE...??? I've already said how I thought about them before today. And they were just as good today. They need to be the scheme team of the town. It literally writes itself with these two and great acting from both cuz that wink Marcel gave Jacob...lmao. Their cat-and-mouse game is the stuff that good soap is made of. SIDE-NOTES... I love the cousin pow-wow even if Martin was missing. I caught the comment that Shanice made about how it was too busy to not do the testing in the office. Hehe. Sounds like someone heard everyone's comments about the nurse hub. I'm always here for Nicole/Dani scenes. And I liked the Ted/Andre scene. Honestly...is Shanice really making it so I like Ted? Hmmmm The episode definitely seem couple-y. Jacob/Naomi. Kat/Tomas. Madison/Chels. Marcel/SPS. Dani/Andre of course. And they felt like couples and couple interactions, allowing to get to know them. I liked. Just so well done.

Oh I remember that from the special, too. hehe. I liked she can poke fun at herself. That said...a children's show...that explains a lot. But just like soaps, some actors in children's shows have gone on to bigger things as well. Not young, young, but Sarah Joy Brown was a VR Trooper before she was the hurricane known as Carly Benson on GH for example.

So much so. If you had me that the actress who bugged me as Christina on GL would turn into this actress named Dani that I live for, I would have laughed. Typical loser/player behavior. Thankfully he redeemed himself.

I agree with a lot of that. Out of everyone from what we have seen on screen, the edgy one...ironically the voice of reason sometimes...is Chelesa. The closest Andre came to being the player everyone said he was was how he was treating Dani on his date with Ashley. And I didn't like it one bit given how upfront both he and Dani had been right up 'til that point.

OH? So he might not at all be what he seems when he did make appearances on the show?

Well...if we are going to be talking romance going into the New Year... NICOLE: Of course, my number 1 is going to be NUMBER 1. Given the problems the writers had with keeping her POV relevant post-Anniversary party, it's been nice that since the writing changeover to have more of it. That said...since it seems like her POV will be there going forward, I'm fine with a slow (but not too slow) build-up to a triangle between her, Carlton, and Kial. I can only assume it is going at this pace to be sure to set both sides (Nicole/Carlton, Nicole/Kial) up evenly. At least for now. DANI: Already set up and good to go. Dani/Andre were the happy accident I knew they would be so I guess I'm back to ride-or-dying. Which other than that Andre's hiccup, I was a fan of since Chelesa's diva hair toss. lol. The story was too real life in the first place and the pairing has fire chemistry. And already has built in drama from Bill (his history with Dani, the investigation on Andre that I believe is still going on) and Kirsten Dimera Hayley. And while her story has been backburnered longer than I would like, it's good to see hints of the old internal drama Dani/Andre had been creeping back in. KAT: I still say and continue to say that they are totally setting up Tomas's exit storyline with what is going on with him and Kat. But where will she land afterwards? I do like if this is leading to a Kat/Izaiah/Eva triangle in the future, they are doing the right thing by doing what they did with Bill/Dani in the first year: spinning the characters off in separate stories so the audience gets to know them individual before bringing the main plot thread back together. Kat's busy with Tomas and his social climbing, her relationship with her dad, and now her issues about her mortality brought on by the Anita news. Eva and Izaiah are getting to know each other and bringing out new sides to each other. And I found the comment about Carl Vati VERY telling about the future of Eva/Tomas aka NONE. VANESSA: While I haven't liked how she's written since Doug's death and Joey/Vanessa becoming a thing, she does seem to be in a holding pattern of sorts. And I'm ready for the next shoe to drop in the Joey/Vanessa story whether it's SPS getting involved, Donnell/Deanna creating the next leg in the Doug's death arc, or something else. TEENS: Well, off the latest synopsis, sounds like we are about to get stuff. As is, I had totally forgotten that Ty and Jessica still are dealing with the idea of how college will impact their relationship. Meanwhile, I expect some kind of story GOSSIP GIRLish for Sam's Colliton. That last appearance by Donnell was lackluster so I hope that if Deanna is going to put in an appearance, she picks up where he left off. TED/SHANICE. Yeeeah, Ted's an idiot, but I've come around to them. And the fact that he FINALLY showed actual backbone with SPS in the 12-30 episode due to Shanice tells me there might be actually legs to a triangle there. Though I honestly don't see how. FINALLY, it seems the writers are not playing Ted like a straight man with a kooky woman, but like an actual guy who...okay is just stupid in the ways of women, but has some charm. And ego is his flaw which can make him compelling down the road. Other than that, I guess I would like to see the actual coupled couples with some obstacle to test them over the next year. I know we are getting that with Vernon/Anita which is deserved. As for the others, I guess we will see. But I do wonder who will be our next happy accident aka Dani/Andre cuz I don't have anything off the top of my head. My bad...besides Marcel and Silk Press Sheila.

RHOP Angel, Angel, Angel. Still playing my short catch-up and just shaking my head at her. She's giving content, but she's the very definition of 'people are laughing AT you, not WITH you.' After being given a break last episode I watched, they all were back on her this episode pre-trip. I do wonder about the rumors surrounding her and the house. I mean she's not the first Housewife to have a rental. Heck, Jen Shah had one on SLC. Meredith continuously does on SLC. And yes, given Angel's FOINE husband's history, it's clear there's money in that house. So...what is this? Did she just rent to film? Did she honestly not know about her rental? Did she really realize she was in over her head with this show and made a break for it? I personally love the theory that she made a run for it and Production said NOPE, setting up this cast trip and Angel is saving face cuz that is soooooo funny. But this was again another great episode to a great season. The ladies at the Derby was hilarious and Ashley was working hard to cause a rift between Stacey and Jassi. And it continued to be all about Stacey this episode due to Ashley's moves, and Stacey made great moves within the episode (calling a truce with Keiarna, having her man show up at the latest event) that will keep the ladies guessing and her name on their lips. GIZELLE. Low-key messy. As was Tia for telling her. Cuz Gizelle wasn't going to keep that to herself. And of course, she told Wendy. Smh. I did like the angle (and 4th Wall breaking) that she took about Angel and the house. I could almost see it as a way to keep Angel relevant since it's a story that has been kept going and thus keeps her and Wendy as Mean Girls relevant. So them using that word 'catfish' to trigger her did just that. WENDY. She was oh so wrong for trying to trigger Angel with the word 'catfish.' But she was giving straight diva throughout the episode. And you know what? I liked THAT. Cuz she didn't get dressed up for the Derby to walk through dog doo. NO, MA'AM. LOL. Production is still on her about her money. And meanwhile they saved the cliffhanger all for her, verbally daggering Angel with the house tea. ASHLEY. Lord, she was working hard to be sure Stacey does not have anyone to fall back on. The fact that Stacey continues to outmaneuver her as well as have good friends and allies...Ashley must be pressed. KEIARNA. Wow. She actually managed to sit down with Stacey. Good they came to a truce. STACEY. Giiiiiiiiiiiiirl!!!! Not there being an ACTUAL picture of her out with Chris Samuels out there! lol. But...she does keep these ladies guessing. And I love it!!! Did not expect her to have a one-on-one (remember when we used to get them often on HW shows?) with Keiarna...her biggest enemy so far. Good they came to a truce. And then...she brought Temu to the event, causing jaws to drop!!! KEEP SURPRISING, BABY KENYA!!! hehe. TIA. Carrying that bone to Gizelle. Smh. ANGEL. I have to give her her one good one. I love that she picked up on (and was rightfully angry and showed it) what the ladies was doing with the word 'catfish.' As she should. But...I just don't feel she's built for this. Moreso if she really did try to make a break for it and run back to Colorado. Then again, we are getting a trip out of it. Perhaps Gizelle was right and it's Angel's way of managing to stay on the show. In any case, she has to stop being obsessed with Wendy. At least until the reunion when she would be in bounds to start mess with Wendy. And I STILL feel Wendy would eat her up. And a good TO BE CONTINUED...which RHOP has honestly been doing this season. So I'm now one episode behind and a new one tonight. Can't wait!!!

Good to see you saw it. Clifton had me in my feelings for sure. As did Karla 'Grown Woman' Mosley. That talk resonated more than I can say. Also love the Anita/Bill moment as well. And...that's Kristen for you. lol.

I was wondering that earlier today as well. I do hope that they are able to find a stable home there as well.

Now that I'm thinking about it...heading into the new year. The Main Duprees finally have main stories going on. Vernon/Anita...Anita's Career Dani...her triangle with Bill/Andre...not to mention dealing with Kristen Dimera...I mean...HayYoValley. NIcole...a growing triangle with Carlton/Kial.
