Congrats again on retirement. If you like campy fun, I would say yes. Like @Maxim said B&B has been going through one of its good periods and has for a while so I would say go back at least a month ago at the earliest or two weeks ago at the least because the Taylor/Deacon/Sheila storyline has been hitting right and hit its climax (for now?) two Fridays ago. But Brad Bell has actually been good at rotating stories again. My only worry is that he will lose interest though and he tends to do writing whiplash on stories when that happens.

Just from reading here while Lucky was gone and then before JJ returned, I remember how much of a hard sell it would be for Lucky to come back because he needed to be redeemed for his decades long absence. And I hoped that with Aidan getting recast and a story, that would be part of said redemption. Otherwise, a Lucky/Liz reunion would be a hard sell even if the actors still had chemistry (which of course they did). It's also why he was not my personal first pick of her three also-single suitors who were back. Out of the 3, he had the most work to be done on him to make a reunion work. Nuance? These writers? What's that? hehe. They definitely couldn't balance it. The weeks he was out of town with Sidwell and Isaiah could have been cut in half and they could have worked on that when he arrived in PC. Instead of him looking for any excuse to get out of town once he arrived in PC, Lucky could have been dealing with that internal struggle on screen. You are totally hitting it on the head for a great conflict for Lucky (Luke's spirt/Laura's heart). It's only a shame that some folks bts were bound and determined to not make it work cuz they wanted to keep with 'factory settings' for a character that the audience (and someone higher up) wanted back for ages.

Not even a problem (even though I'm sure Frank saw differently). An actor who knew his character's audience way too well. Even better than the producer. So can't have that. Not my first pick of Liz's single suitors at that time, but even I see the potential in them reuniting...or triangled out...or embarking on an adventure which them with Cyrus and the killings briefly gave them. But...Frank's gotta Frank.

Yeah, we never did. I really would love to know who did. Because his/her power play was the right thing at the time. The execution was definitely poor. But we know why that is. Since the beginning of soaps, when a producer/writer do not like something or someone, it definitely shows on-screen. Very.

4-13 Where is Malcolm??? But seriously...I actually didn't hate this episode. But Lord... God, I love seeing Diane. And I liked the Michael scenes. I liked seeing Traci. Not to mention Lauren. And Mmmmmmmm Nick...though it was hard to get through his scenes with that horrible Matt recast in them hamming it up. BUT...didn't hate it.

Wasn't JJ's return greenlit while PM (and whoever was in charge unseen to make PM return to GH happen) was in charge? Same for the Lulu recast. Perhaps a different kind of plan would have happened if PM had still been writing?

As much as I love Rory and Van, Alexa has gone down as my favorite of the recent recasts. You know I rag on these writers, but the Lulu return arc was near perfection for me. I agree Lulu woke up, and Alexa acted every inch of what JMB Lulu used to be. A strong, resourceful Spencer! Also a maddening one....lol. And Alexa has continued to act like she has always been Lulu. And Alexa really knows how to emote. I had hoped the next step in her story would be Lulu adjusting to the fact that four years had passed since she was in a coma and life still went on. Alexa was killing it with what little they had on the screen about it and she definitely played the subtext of it...which came in handy when the writers went ahead and started Lulu vs BLQ leading to the Gio secret. It was really the only way to humanize Lulu which I felt (even when Lulu was irking me during the Gio stuff) Alexa did superb throughout. Oh. I see. That just intrigues me more. I've never seen scenes between them.
