  1. Congratulations to Andy but the whole walkover scenario is so 2016, weird. Raonic has a tear in his quad and people cheering about it. Er, cheer for Andy but don't cheer the circumstances.
  2. Ms. Grace Bell Hardison, a 100 year old African American woman whose voter registration was challenged by a White man in her area (no doubt influenced by those flawed stories of voter fraud) got her right to vote restored. Thank goodness her nephew saw her name in the newspaper with the other voter registrations that were thrown off the rolls after being challenged and deemed fraudent. Thank goodness she fought back and got her registration and her right to vote restored! President Obama mentioned her during a campaign appearance in NC this week and she wrote him a wonderful letter in response. By the way, a judge ordered the state of NC to restore all the purged names back to the eligible voter registry rolls. It is illegal to purge names less than 90 days before an election. Apparently, the man who challenged Ms. Bell Hardison was ignorant of this fact.
  3. So apparently the DNC had informed the FBI that its offices had been bugged? When did this happen?! Well, for the National Enquirer this has got to be a first! National Enquirer Shielded Donald Trump From Playboy Model’s Affair Allegation
  4. The GOP has been trying it...but not succeeding. Courts Rule For Easier Voting As Presidential Election Nears
  5. Sometimes I'd get irritated with Dr. Samuels though, lol. It was like she was telling everybody's business in the middle of the hospital, who was pregnant and needed to tell her husband. I'd often be like "Don't you know how to whisper, Dr. Samuels? Don't you have an office?!" while so and so just overheard the entire conversation. I know it was done for dramatic effect but Dr. Samuels was innocently going around spilling everyone's tea.
  6. Wow, the ramifications of all this...again, I ask, can Comey survive after all this? Here’s An Open Letter To Comey From The Teen Who Allegedly Got Sexts From Weiner
  7. It's not just NC, but we all knew this. Judge orders Trump campaign to stop intimidating Ohio voters Also, the FBI is investigating its own Twitter account, whic has mysteriously begun tweeting after being inactive for about a year. The real question seems to be will Comey survive all this controversy that the FBI has become mired in? FBI investigating one of its Twitter accounts
  8. The proof is in the pudding is in the eating. Emails show how Republicans lobbied to limit voting hours in North Carolina
  9. This should come as a surprise to no one. Ex-Christie Aides Convicted in George Washington Bridge Case I'm looking forward to what more will be revealed during the appeals process.
  10. Interesting bit of trivia about a somewhat minor character: I've often been curious to find out the name of the actress who played Rosa (who worked as John Dixon's housekeeper before quitting and being hired as Lucinda Walsh's cook). I happened to watch a holiday episode and finally saw her name on the list of credits. Rosa was played by Antonia Rey, a Cuban born actress, 89 years old now, whose last known credit was in 2015 on the show Madame Secretary. She also was the voice of Abuela, Dora's Grandma on Dora The Explorer. Normally, ATWT didn't show her on the credits but I guess they list everyone during the long credits for the holiday episodes. They even listed the little actors who played baby Bryant Montgomery and toddler Chris Hughes, both actors appear on IMDB, though ATWT is their only known acting credit.
  11. If we still insist on paying attention to polls, the state (not national) polls appear to offer a more accurate picture of what's actually happening on the ground. According to this poll, there is definitely no enthusiasm gap for Clinton with Latinos in Florida. Clinton’s 30-point lead in Florida Hispanic poll is ‘terrifying’ to GOP nationwide
  12. Beyoncé's performance with The Dixie Chicks was sooo good! Natalie Maines had vowed never to return to the CMA's but changed her mind after she got the call from Beyoncé. So glad she changed her mind, or we would've missed out on this!
  13. Dylan Bruce (Chris Hughes, ATWT) is in the cast of upcoming NBC drama Midnight, Texas described as a cross between True Blood and Twin Peaks. Midnight, Texas is based on the novels, written by the author of True Blood.
  14. I didn't see the speech but I saw some comments and they were overwhelmingly negative, some even mocking. A few people even speculated that she seems to be doing the most to make Trump as unattractive a candidate as she can. Personally, I'm on Melania divorce watch after this election. With all these recent allegations of sexual assault, I wouldn't be surprised if she had already consulted a lawyer about how to expand the terms of her pre-nuptial/post-nuptial agreement to better suit her monetarily.
  15. @JuliajmsOh, I expect nothing resembling introspection from Trump's followers, I know they couldn't care less. I don't expect the MSM to get people to care about Trump's misdeeds but I don't believe that MSM has even done due diligence when it comes to giving an in depth look at Trump when they've basically gone over Clinton's history with a fine tooth comb- no lie, this morning, a news anchor proceeded to talk about HRC's relationship to her father. Nothing said about Trump's father and his need to mold his son into "killers" (this is a term that Fred Trump used to use to describe a go-getter type, for real!) Soledad O'Brien who was an anchor on CNN just called them out publicly for their lack of thorough reporting and the use of false equivalencies. I guess I should've been used to the obvious different standards that each candidate is being held to. Hillary to a higher standard, but for Trump, the bar could not be lower.
  16. That would be very serious if someone filed court documents under a false identity. I guess when December 16 comes and the initial conference for the civil lawsuit begins, we'll find out where things actually stand and whether Jane Doe is for real. If Jane Doe is going to be judged for the shady company she keeps, should the same be said of Trump and his association with Jeffrey Epstein who served time for soliciting a minor?
  17. Jane Doe may very well have shady people surrounding her but that doesn't mean that she shouldn't be heard or have her day in court. It's hard to get to the bottom of anything when we have seen the media's reluctance to investigate any and all things Trump. Really, think about it. The New York Times was the only newspaper/media to do a fair amount of investigation into Trump's tax matters and after a few soundbytes during the 2nd Presidential debate, it has pretty much faded in the media. That Access Hollywood "grab 'em by the p*ss*" comment only got traction because it was Trump, damned by his own words and he tried to make the ludicrous comment that "no one respected women as much as..." he does. It's also been pretty much an afterthought in the media in less than two weeks. The endorsements by David Duke, the KKK, etc...all swept away like nothing. Trump has lied repeatedly about his mocking POWs, a disabled reporter, etc. He has been made accountable for nothing. If I were a victim of Trump, I'd probably backtrack away from public notice too because no one holds Trump to account for any of the disgusting things he's said or done over 30 years. He'll only deflect anyway. Many of his fans have shown themselves to be prone to violence, what protection would anyone have against that?
  18. ¡Les digo la verdad, Soledad!
  19. President Obama's stats guy from 2012 wrote an Op-Ed that says that national polls do not give an accurate indication of likely voters and that an effective campaign is better off looking at the data from each state. This makes sense, especially while I look at the media's claims that Black voting participation is down yet, looking at the 'battleground' state of North Carolina where over a half-million Blacks have already voted, the numbers are saying the quite the opposite. Judging from the polls clusterf*ck of the 2012 race where you had three different national polls painting three very different pictures, I'd agree that the polls that matter most are the polls the voter walks to in order to cast their vote. All other polls are manipulating numbers.
  20. Has anyone seen this?!
  21. The lack of media attention to this is proof that Trump is truly becoming the living embodiment of a 'Teflon Don' (what John Gotti used to be known as). Donald Trump's Child Rape Accuser Canceled Her Press Conference Due to Death Threats Trump's followers continue to threaten and bully others as well. Yogurt Is Not White Enough for These White Nationalists
  22. So apparently, the accuser in the Trump child rape case cancelled her appearance after receiving threats. Terrible. This entire thing- the fact that it has gotten zilch press and that this woman feels that her safety is being threatened is terrible.
  23. So apparently Max Ehrich (Fen Baldwin, Y&R) has been filming a series called Embeds for the Verizon owned streaming platform called Go90. It is a political comedy being co-produced by Megyn Kelly of all people (yes, that Megyn Kelly). Supposedly six episodes have been ordered and the series is scheduled to start airing/streaming on Election Day. Maybe he can still squeeze in story arc on Y&R to have a fling with Mariah, who is overdue for a love interest, or even a passionate love scene. I think if they gave Max a good storyline with a talented actress, he'd return, even for recurring, to Y&R. He sure seems to retweet Y&R-related items quite a bit. Somebody tweet SSM.
  24. This is what most of us already know, that there is an army of Russian trolls who go into the comments section of various websites to post to try to influence people (aka. our) opinions. This is why I don't read the comments.
