  1. Brand Trump is starting to go tank, which is why he was heard saying that if he lost, he doesn't know what he's going to do. He'd better figure it out because it won't be leading this country. Donald Trump’s D.C. Hotel Shows His Brand Is Sinking Along With His Poll Numbers
  2. Sadly Julia the other day on twitter #blacksforTrump was trending and sadly it was as it says, black people tweeting support for him. Made my stomach turn given what a racist he is I suspect most of those accounts were newly created and/or fakes. Same, they're not fooling anyone.
  3. There's a great feature on Parker Posey (Tess, ATWT) on Yahoo! Screen. She mentions how she was doing ATWT while filming Dazed and Confused. Role Recall: Parker Posey
  4. Great ad for HRC.
  5. Chris Christie faces the possibility of indictment in relation to the Bridgegate scandal. The best part is that this misconduct charge was all brought on by a litigious private citizen, a retired firefighter, who wants Christie charged for failing to reopen the lanes in a timely manner. Citizen’s Complaint Against Gov. Chris Christie Stuns New Jersey’s Legal World
  6. Haven't listened to it but apparently Erika Slezak did an interview with a podcast. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/brandonsbuzz/2016/10/13/an-exclusive-conversation-with-emmy-winning-soap-legend-erika-slezak---pt-2 I just realized I linked to Part 2, there's probably a Part 1 somewhere on the page if you look.
  7. A few nice pics on Martha Byrne's Twitter feed but I'll only post two:
  8. Yup, basically NYT told Trump, he doesn't have a reputation to ruin anyway, since he's already done it himself.
  9. Me too. That speech was utterly movie. Michelle Obama has really been the M.V.P. of HRC surrogates this entire election season.
  10. This feature on Corbin Bleu illustrates just how much he continues to get good reviews. Corbin Bleu, on Broadway and Dancing in Fred Astaire’s Footsteps
  11. Poll watchers alert: HRC currenty leads Trump by 6 points in Florida according to this: Poll: Clinton leads Trump by 6 points in battleground Florida ETA: The dumpster fire known as the Trump campaign continues to spin. Now he's apologizing to Serbia for the U.S. (i.e. Bill Clinton) intervention to stop the genocide (then known as 'ethnic cleansing'). Are there still people who don't believe that Russia has a hand in Trump's moves?? DONALD TRUMP CAMPAIGN APOLOGIZES TO SERBIA FOR YUGOSLAVIA BOMBING
  12. Here we go. I guess those lawyers are all too eager to take Trump's money.
  13. My only concern is that the narrative goes too far into the personal lives and obscures that fact that Trump is totally devoid of plans for how he'd improve anything. The focus needs to remain on the candidates' ideas. HRC's plans for the economy, health care, education, criminal justice and foreign relations as well as Trump's lack of specific plans. I hope that the Clinton campaign will steer toward the fact that she has solutions and her opponent does not.
  14. Trump threatens to sue the NY Times but a lawyer appearing on the CBS This Morning show stated that the burden of proof is at a much higher standard for a public figure. Trump's legal team would have to prove malice or reckless reporting, neither seem to be the case with a major paper that already has legal counsel that vets a story like this before it goes to press.
  15. That video really is amazing. Man how time flies! @Juliajms, apparently CBS and the Palm Beach Post are reporting on this and other accounts as well.
  16. Clownish figure indeed! Makes me wonder whether some of those Russian political figures might be taking those daytrips to the poppy fields of Afghanistan.
  17. This might cheer you up a bit, @marceline
  18. The Trump campaign must be extremely desperate or stark raving mad to think they'd got on at the Apollo. Maybe both? Apart from this article needing a good editor (e.g. poll, not pole), I really don't think it's accurate to claim that Trump made a 'concerted effort' to reach out to the African American community. It was more for the benefit of White voters who were unsure of voting for someone like him and found many of his views/speech distasteful. The Apollo Theater says no to Donald Trump rally
  19. The Telegraph newspaper goes in on Sharapova playing an exhibition while still effectively under a (recently reduced) ban from tennis. Maria Sharapova's teeth-grindingly inappropriate love-in was nauseating and does tennis every discredit
  20. The GOP needs to acknowledge the fact that they created the circumstances and environment for a Trump to become their nominee. A schism within the party has been in place for about a decade- the Tea Party (which the GOP was happy to run loose as long as they were a thorn in Obama's side) kicked it into drive, the Birthers (again, the GOP was content to let them run wild as long as they were problems to Obama) opened up a path for Trump to launch a political career, Mitch McConnell's insistence that his sole focus would be making President Obama a one term President (how did that turn out?), fools like Ted Cruz and his fixation with goverment shutdown, facilitated by the GOP's environment of overall obstruction and incredible lack of civility in government. This will sound harsh but the Republicans need to experience the full consequences of what they have wrought. If they are to salvage their party and not let it become history as other political parties in the past (the Whigs, etc) then they will probably have to 'start over' whatever that means. Part of that starting over, may mean accepting an irrevocable split within their party and accepting and setting the terms for some sort of political divorce within the GOP.
  21. If people don't know who Steve Schmidt is, one aspect of his resume was that he was once in charge of helping Sarah Palin become VP. In other words, he is not a Democratic operative. Listen to what he has to say, it's quite enlightening, although it's certainly what many of us already know and/or suspect but it's interesting hearing it from the mouth of a Republican.
  22. From what I've read so far the leaks are not even in HRC's words but ideas being kicked around by various sections of her campaign- some of whom don't even agree on strategies. Those in Trump's camp sound more desperate every day, as evidenced by those videos posted on previous pages of Trump campaign surrogates giving wild and ridiculous excuses for the latest scandal. Only Trump's ardent supporters (sleepy Ben Carson and Chris Christie, who most likely won't have a job in public service come the next gubernatorial election) who are determined to support his tomfoolery come hell or high-water are believing this nonsense. As for Trump's base, Clinton was never going to convince people who are that irrational anyway. Warren Buffett called Trump's bluff and released his tax return, putting a giant pin-prick in Trump's whopping balloon of a lie. For once, Trump has had no response on this.
  23. Hopefully HRC can focus on her message (and preparing for the final debate) and Dems can focus on gaining the Senate and the House (which surely must be in play, now) and just let the GOP just burn themselves out.
  24. Usually, I could do without hearing from her, but has anyone heard from Sarah Palin since this latest Trump scandal has broken out? I'm curious to learn whether Palin is excusing Trump's lewd remarks.
  25. While discussing his memoirs on CBS This Morning, Bryan Cranston called Loving his biggest professional accomplishment to date because it taught him that he could truly become a professional actor.
