One of my favourite Hyacinth scenes. Dame Patricia is side-splittingly funny as drunk Hyacinth.

😭 Nooo, not Mrs. Bucket (pronounced Bouquet)!! Keeping Up Appearances is one of my all-time favourite sitcoms, and Patricia was absolutely marvelous as Hyacinth. But, as fabulous as she was as a comedienne, she was equally wonderful in drama. Her Talking Head monologues written by Alan Bennett are masterclass performances. R.I.P dear, dear Dame Patricia, and thank you so very much for all the wonderful moments you brought us.

Clive Hornby has made his debut as Jack now, and I'm struggling to see him as Jack Sugden, the writer. Much of that is probably down to me watching him in the farmer role for so long, but he also gives off a different vibe than Andrew Burt. His Jack came off as slightly darker and more moody. But consequently I don't think I could see Andrew play Jack Sugden the farmer like Clive did. I don't think I could have bought Gail Harrison's Marian falling for Clive's version of Jack either.

Self-awareness isn't really your thing is it? But I have better things to do than continuing this, because it won't lead to anything anyway.

Oh, so now it's Kimberlin Brown who dictates story on B&B? Silly me, I thought it was KKL who always got what she wanted. 🤔 Poor Brad. Just think how much better the show would be if he didn't have to placate some troublesome actresses all the time. Maybe then he could give more focus to the sadly underutilized and overlooked Steffy.
