  1. Thanks as always @slick jones
  2. Amy still has the same smile. Jason looks so much like John. By this time in his life, I remember John having more of a sadness onscreen, but Jason reminds me a lot of younger John.
  3. There have been various vintage Tristan interview clips on this channel lately.
  4. Thanks @YTG There are deep-pocketed lost media communities for adult entertainment, for old movies, sports. I wish it was around for soaps. Those tapes are historical artifacts for TV. I totally get why you weren't able to wrangle with them. I hope someone out there might be able to before it's too late, as it's going to take a lot of money and equipment.
  5. This isn't against Ryan but I hate the baby oil look. I have always hated it, even before the Diddy jokes.
  6. I wouldn't kill off any Quartermaine children. I just can't go there.
  7. I knew the reactions here were going to be more entertaining than the story probably will be, and so far I'm not wrong. Yes, I haven't watched Nathan's era in a long time, I was barely watching then, but I do find Josh a little more captivating and a bit better as a performer than Paevey. I know he's another of the brunette pieces of ass Frank has collected since the Ford days, but he is probably one of the better choices of the pack for me. I wonder how much of this revival is Frank trying to go back to some period where he felt happier with the show. I know Nathan and Britt have fans, I know Liesl has fans, but that era seemed to be literally dead and gone. Maybe he can give Donna Mills a check for a day, although she seems to have moved on.
  8. Thanks @YTG for all of your tireless work. 2009 or somewhere in there is where I first found the show through here and Youtube. I'm glad so much of the show is available, even if those first months of episodes are (no pun intended) a holy grail. I've appreciated the interviews on your comments. I especially appreciated the interview with Dorothy Stinnette. I never knew of the private group but I'm glad for a show that only ran a few years, so many of the cast stayed close for as long as they did.
  9. Another reminder of how popular Dallas was in the UK.
  10. I wonder if he was a strike casualty.
  11. Thanks. Never saw that.
  12. Welcome back @DramatistDreamer . Not sure if you've seen them but there have been a number of mid '80s episodes that have popped up this year.
  13. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2025/aug/17/terence-stamp-the-mesmerisingly-seductive-dark-prince-of-british-cinema I first knew of Terence Stamp in Priscilla, as it was a big deal when it came out, an international sensation. I first truly saw him, as @Faulkner posted in their clips, in Far From the Madding Crowd, one of the first times I saw a number of the amazing talents in that film. He was breathtaking as the dashing soldier who helps propel the fantasy life of Julie Christie compared to the sturdy Alan Bates as the reality. What a lucky lady Julie was for that film. It took me a while to realize he was General Zod, one of the best comic book movie supervillains. I'll always associate him with Teorema, where he is utterly perfect as the detached yet incredibly intense deity-like figure who gives a rich family the gift and the curse of enlightenment.
  14. Thank you for all the tributes I'd never see otherwise. I never even knew Michelle and Tristan were that close. You can definitely feel that it's a real bond. @Vee That was very kind of Steve. That second photo is beautiful.
  15. Thanks. Rest in peace to Tom. I never even knew he was Robert Urich's brother.
  16. @Vee Thanks. That's a great scene. Pamela is so regal. I'm amazed, although I shouldn't be given the industry, that she never got any icy matriarch roles onscreen. I hope she got those chances on the stage. The lack of use for Addie in those last few years was a big disappointment. I remember the theories about Miles (didn't he just disappear - I don't know now). I can believe it was Frons. I can also see him hating Tina's return (which was a mess and a very odd choice to do it during Erika's vacation, but he probably did make it worse). I could see him being one of the reasons we got so much Jessica and Tess. I'm glad they never regressed Addie either. I had really wanted them to bring Melinda back too, rather than killing her off.
  17. Thank you for sharing. There's a great story in the comments from someone who mentioned sneaking onto the set with a cover story (this was in the late '80s) and how friendly he, Finola and Lynn Herring were. As they mentioned, that was crazy and would never happen today. During Tristan's 1995 cameo and Tristan also made a few appearances from 2012-2014.
  18. @YTG Thanks! Maybe Mary Jean can get on Beyond the Gates. I know it's a pipe dream but I'd love to see someone interview her about those first months of episodes that are unavailable.
  19. Thanks @FrenchFan Still crazy to me how fast they aged Dan. I wish I could see more of Penny and Ellen by this point in their time on the show. I wonder if Penny changed any in her 12 years under Rosemary.
  20. Really enjoying your reviews of this era @Vee as I keep meaning to watch more myself. And thank you for answering my question several pages back about the good period of the "Cartini" era.
  21. Jonelle Allen talks about Generations starting at 28 minutes.
  22. Not too sure which thread this should go in but it's a new interview with Michael Damian.
