Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I thought Oaks are near cancellation a year or so ago? I wonder what made them decide to keep it.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
40th anniversary of what? Emmerdale, as far as they're concerned, premiered in 1993 (err....1989).

Revenge: Discussion Thread
Yall, I was ugly-crying and screaming "NO NO NO" as they set it up to look like Daniel had hanged himself. Thank GOD it was just that random goon. They can keep teasing his death, but it better not happen for real.

But on the bright side, Colin was absolutely flawless and completely beautiful. I miss seeing that man on a daily basis. I love the early cast photos. I especially like how Erica isn't "Erica" who has to be up front and center in the group pictures. It's rather cute and charming to see her mixed in amongst the other young leads without having the big flashy signs pointing to her as the star of the show.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE alllll of the "Blake and the women" pictures the show did over the years. ESPECIALLY the blue one from season 2.

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Wow, neither one of them looks good there at all. He looks like Herman Munster (a role I can totally see him playing, btw).

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
A recent picture of Mark La Mura, who still does a ton of theatre.

Whitney Houston dead at 48!
I love how simple the program is -- you'd expect it to be a big, enormous thing worthy of Whitney's legendary status, but it's really basically identical to the programs we have at our family funerals, right down to the poem and picture collages.

Whitney Houston dead at 48!
I wish CNN had just cut to something else after the service was done. It really rubbed me the wrong way how they were commenting on it as if it was this year's royal wedding.

Whitney Houston dead at 48!
You know it! "Tyler Perry's Homegoing Celebration for Sister Whitney Elizabeth Houston, featuring Jennifer Hudson, Patti Labelle, Dionne Warwick, Cicely Tyson, Maya Angelou, and Andell from The Parkers."

Whitney Houston dead at 48!
You do realize that taking a train or bus would have taken much, much longer than it actually did take for him to get there, right? WOW, so we're deciding how a person who we don't know should grieve over a person he had a long-term relationship with for nearly 20 years? Wow. I can't even.

What Are You Listening To?
This song still gets me hype.

Whitney Houston dead at 48!
RIP Whitney!! She and her music (and movies) were way more a part of my life than Michael Jackson's stuff, so this one is really getting to me. I wished that Million Dollar Bill had been more successful. I LOVE the pure 70s disco sound. Oh, and of course, it goes without saying, The Bodyguard/I Will Always Love You just bring back a floooooooood of memories. We wore that VHS and cassette tape out.

The Madonna Thread
They don't have to sing. Few people go to a Britney/Rihanna/etc show because they want to hear live singing. They go for the atmosphere, the energy, the performance, etc, and they feel its worth the money. It's not like it's a scam or something. The fans know exactly what they're getting, and they want it. It's different if it's someone like Adele, whose fanbase doesn't expect a big, fast-paced spectacle of a show but does expect live singing.
