  1. Good God, she is BEAUTIFUL. How long was this character on the show?
  2. This has such an 80s vibe to it, and I'm usually not too crazy about 80s music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zwZDvj565g
  3. The Fannie Battle Home for Unwed Mothers just sounds like a sitcom that really, really needed to happen.
  4. I watched Wednesday's hour-long episode. Strangely enough, I found myself interested in Corrie for the first time in a long time. Definitely the first full ep I've watched in a good two years (besides old 60s/70s episodes). I usually can't get through a half-hour ep. The Kirsty/Tyrone thing is very creepy and scary, and I've yet to see Kirsty actually beat him. She just has this abusive vibe to her, and Tyrone's gotten extremely weak. I feel like every line of dialogue in this story can be placed in a man-beats-wife story. Don't know if that's good or bad. I also feel like Fiz could easily beat the crap out of Kirsty. I had no idea Lewis had returned to the show. I also have no clue what happened between him and Audreh and why she said he's "not her problem" anymore. Gail, as always, is an idiot. Glad to see they've chilled David out a bit. I know he shouldn't be, but he's always been one of my favorites. Now that all of the trashy stuff with Becky is done, do people like Kylie now? I can get behind her, David, and Max being a family unit. Gary  I totally dug those tight sky blue jeans he was wearing. I still can't stand the Armstrongs, though, and it'd be awesome if Gary and Jason just struck out on their own with a little building empire. What was up with Dev being a prick to everyone in the shop?
  5. I need to catch up on this damn show so bad.
  6. You Can't Take it With You
  7. Travis Garland
  8. Varnado
  9. He's a Heartache (Lookin' for a Place to Happen) -- Janie Fricke
  10. OK wow, an interview with Mark! You can tell just from those few responses that he's extremely intelligent about lots of things, but he chooses to only a let a little bit of what he thinks out. He writes off his daytime career as a paycheck, but it's also clear that he believed in the work. That daytime industry, he didn't love. The potential of what it could have been, though? He was probably dismayed by a lot of what he saw, especially now that the genre is dead. Glad to see that he and his wife are still together! I'd love love love to see a new nighttime soap with him as the family patriarch.
  11. Yeah, I haven't liked the long seasons, either. Honestly, they should have just expanded the show to 60-minute episodes instead of doing the telenovela thing in the summer. Switch hour-long episodes and do regular Sept-May seasons. 12 does look pretty interesting with Eli as an aspiring writer, Adam's romance with the Christian girl, and the new gay guy Tristan. Not crazy about Eli and Clare getting back together, as I hate Clare's granny guts and thought they were annoying together.
  12. Has anyone been tuning in? I'm understanding that a lot of the "new" characters have been phased out for another round of "newer" characters, correct? Still wondering why in the figgity frack this show is still on, 12 seasons and about 300 episodes later.
  13. The Man from UNCLE would be pretty flimsy, too, I think.
  14. And Dick Cavett is from Forrest Gump. That whole cast list is random, to be honest. Melissa Archer, David Gregory, Tom Pelphrey, Christopher Lloyd, Jerry Stiller. Did a bunch of older male actors decide "Hey let's go do a movie with out-of-work soap stars!"
  15. I was only able to watch a little bit of last night's episode so far, but I did catch the great Grayson family scene where it became extremely clear how dysfunctional the family really is. I love how this season is delving more into the family dynamics. Conrad's such a bitch, and I love it! Almost as much as I love it when Victoria speaks in that voice when she's amused/pissed off.
  16. The melody of this song is so haunting and sad, especially those raw parts where he drops down to the lower register. "Just when I thought I was over you, I see your face, and it just ain't true. No, it just ain't true." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oj4jXavFbOc
  17. Yeah, I was wondering where Michelle was on your list I'm sorry, but I wouldn't dare keep her while writing out Mary. I haven't watched current Corrie in forever (but I've been loving any opportunity I get to watch a few old eps), so I couldn't fairly make a list of who to get rid of. Graeme is long gone, so I'm good.
  18. Tom/Erica  What if she ended up pregnant even though she was secretly on the pills? They could have been recalled or something. Josh should have been the child of Tom and Erica, damn it.
  19. Yikes, Carl! Mary and Norris, too??
  20. Praise Jesus! I'm completely unfamiliar with Blackburn's work. Is this a good or bad thing? I'm assuming, though, that if he's been with Emmerdale recently, it's probably not good. LMFAO at ITV still trying to hype up that ridiculous tram crash. I guess I'm a character who died in the crash.
  21. 90210 flourished once it shed most of its ties to the original series, IMO. The difference between a MP sequel series and a 90210 sequel series rests squarely on setting. MP easily lends itself to mixing the old crew in with new characters, while it required some suspended belief to fit Brenda and Kelly into the new 90210. Kelly Taylor, guidance counselor? Really? Get that ish out of here! They should have just made passing references to things from the original series.
  22. MP 2.0 was just so far from the spirit of the original. I think part of what makes all these remakes and sequels fail is that they try more to live up to the hype of the original shows instead of just trying to keep the spirit and tone of the original shows. MP is known for scandal and betrayal and deception, sex, power, etc, but there was also friendship and romance, and the most important thing was the family-like atmosphere at the building. 2.0 didn't have that, and it sucked ass.
  23. Doug and Laura are still married, as far as I know. And damn, they all look so good! That picture from inside the magazine looks like a promo shot from the original run. I'm so glad they didn't have them pose in the ugly way most current shows do cast photos, with the cast members all spread out in a police lineup. Most of all, all of those smiles look real, and it looked like my MP crew had a fun time participating in the shoot!
  24. There's absolutely no way that they just excluded him, I'm sure. Everyone knows that Michael Mancini was THE leading man of MP. He was the only person to appear in every single episode.
