  1. Fallon was only interesting in the first and last seasons so I tend to give Emma Samms a bit more credit than most. I wish the writing had stayed as in was in season one for her, but when Joan Collins joined they completely defanged her and turned her into a weepy heroine. At least Emma Samms was over the top and at times hilarious as Fallon, especially on The Colbys where I enjoyed her. Pamela Sue Martin completely gave up once the writing was gone, hence why she quit the show. One interesting thing is that she almost returned the final season but when David Paulsen met Emma Samms he thought she had so much more personality and spunk than what he saw on screen so he decided to give her another chance. I wonder how it would've been had Pamela Sue Martin returned.
  2. The Matthew return was bad, but hardly the worst thing to happen. The crazy writing started in season three and just got progessively worse until things finally improved during the final season. I truly don't believe there was one well executed story between seasons 3-8. You had a collection of interesting and fun scenes and catfights and larger than life characters, but the stories made no sense. For me Dynasty is seasons 1-2, 9 and The Colbys (which was MILES better than given credit for). My feelings on Dynasty are probably why I'm not so up in arms about this reboot. Dynasty along with Falcon Crest both stand to gain the most from a reboot because they weren't that great to begin with. Falcon Crest was certainly much better, but still all over the map at times and was VERY plot driven. The changes I'm seeing to Dynasty are in line with a remake, not a reboot and that's fine. They can add new characters, omit others and change things if they want. If Psycho taught us anything is that there is no point in a shot-by-shot reboot. I'm going to be interested until they give me a reason not to be. So far the cast is shaping up nicely and I look forward to seeing where they film and things of that nature.
  3. When Kandi says Porsha is lying she's talking about denying how she came onto Kandi and about the sex dungeon and Kandi's 7 year relationship with a woman. I believe Kandi because especially with Bedroom Kandi, if she had a sex dungeon it would've already been a storyline on the show.
  4. I hated James, but I LOVED Michelle and especially Callie. Callie was underrated among core fans because she was a later season character, but the actress was very good and I liked most of her stories. I do wish they'd done more with Lucy when she returned though. Especially with younger characters like Michelle and Callie to interact with. They didn't work enough on building that younger generation which could've helped the later seasons more.
  5. Kandi said on WWHL that she never finds out during filming that it was actually Phaedra who started the lesbian rumors. I find that so odd that nobody said anything, particularly Porsha who took all the heat for it. The reunion is going to be F-I-R-E! That'll be the first time Kandi can confront her and you can tell she is ready. On this whole subject I believe Kandi and not Porsha. Kandi has never been shy about what she does and has no reason to lie. She's the most honest housewife in history IMO. She always brings it with story no matter what, the good bad and ugly. Porsha looked so shocked as Kandi was spraying her tea and her comebacks seemed obviously made up to deflect. Smh Toyota, do better. Kandi has never been successfully taken down and I wish the ladies would stop trying. Kim, Nene and Phaedra have all tried and failed. Kandi hits you with facts and honesty. I will ALWAYS be Team Kandi over anyone. Potomac - That new trailer is much better and it looks G O O D! I cannot wait! The new housewife is just everything. So beautiful and clearly she'll hit the ground running. Giselle is not coming off well in the trailer though. I'm not sure what she's thinking. Look forward to seeing whats happening with Karen and The Black Bill Gates....
  6. LOL Yes! I was confused because she seemed young to be an "aunt." Makes sense now that yall tell me she wasn't truly their Aunt. Maybe they used the black thing where you call a family friend Aunt or Uncle.
  7. It doesn't sound that different, just updated. It's a remake so I'm not surprised. I'm interested and look forward to seeing how it looks. I love that they're taking their notes from season one which was the best season of the original. It had a REALLY strong opening hook that led in perfectly to Alexis' arrival. I'm very curious who they will get to play her and when they'll bring her on. Jamey Giddeons mentioned he's read the script and the only thing he mentioned is that everybody is younger. That doesn't bother me. I always thought Linda Evans looked too old to pull off the younger wife thing so I like that their ages are adjusted accordingly. I'm curious what the full cast will look like. Just what Carrington's and Colby's will launch the show. Will Steven be around still? Cecil with Jeff? Will they include the Blaisdel's? I hope not on the latter part. I also wonder if they'll pull from later season additions like Adam, Dominique, Sammy Jo, etc.
  8. [video] Who is this? I read on her Wikipedia she played the recurring role of Julia Winters for ten years but only 40 episodes. I've never caught an episode with her or heard of her. I liked her from the clips and think it's interesting they had her popping in and out as a recurring family member. I loved when Y&R used to do that. It makes the families feel more real. Can anybody tell me more about her?
  9. Stephanie said that isn't true. I'm sure they're getting paid, but probably not getting paid much based on the ratings.
  10. Toronto doesn't look as good as the first season of Vancouver, but it looks watchable. I don't know what to make of the cast, very hard looking women. I do like that it's a multi-ethnic cast and that you have a plus sized wife which you don't get anymore in the US. I'm cautiously optimistic.
  11. Potomac is DC. Majority of time you see them out at restaurants they're in DC.
  12. I feel like Miami needs to just stay dead. Honestly, they dropped the ball not trying to make Melbourne happen. It's first two seasons it got decent ratings without promo, can you imagine how well it could've done with promo and WWHL appearances? Plus it's cheap since it's already made. Right now I'd prefer they focus on featuring the international versions instead of launching a new one. If they came up with an interesting city and cast then go for it, but I wouldn't be looking just yet.
  13. I'm guessing Potomac will be on Sundays and they're hoping it can stand on it's own feet so they'll have better sunday coverage now that New Jersey is tanking. I'm sure Dallas will finally get a lead in this year because it's do or die for them. I wonder if they'll have it air the same night as say OC or something of that nature. I think it'll probably flop again based on that boring ass cast. I loved Lydia, but I do agree I'd want Lizzie and Jeana back. I'd have Lizzie back as a full housewife and Jeana as a real friend ala Camille. Shannon, Vicki, Kelly, Tamra, Lydia and Lizzie would be a flawless cast. Six main housewives with one friend isn't bad at all.
  14. I don't know if it's yet mentioned here, but in Trump's interview with Bill O'Reilly he says the US is no better than Russia and Putin when O'Reilly asked him about Putin being a murderer. Obviously even FOX viewed this as a frightening statement if that's the clip they're using to promote this interview. How will republicans and the media give him a pass for this. He literally will attack and insult ANYONE except Russia and now is to the point where he's saying Putin and his crimes are the same as what America does?! This is just becoming bizarre.
  15. Potomac has been done filming for months. Andy tweeted that the episodes he's seen are very good. I think they're just holding it because they don't need it right now. I imagine it'll return with New York towards the end of ATL and BH, probably in April.
  16. Lizzie has said that isn't true. I'll try to find the interview but she said she heavily filmed and was told it wasn't exciting enough and was mostly cut out but she started the season out thinking she'd be full time.
  17. I agree. I feel like she can fill the void they'll need with Heather gone. Someone VERY wealthy with a happy family who is more above the fray. The benefit for her over Heather is that she is more open and natural and not playing for the cameras like Heather was. But with so many dynamic and controversial personalities like Tamra, Vicki and Kelly you need that balance. This is why I also want Lizzie back. We need more balance. I still don't understand getting rid of Lizzie. She has the look and the money and fit in so well. I understand she wasn't the most dramatic, but that's okay. Look at Eileen on Beverly Hills or Cynthia on ATL. They get involved here and there but are mostly normal and mellow. You need balance!
  18. Does anybody know the best place to watch online? I can find the show from 1971 on, but I'm looking to start back up in 1969 when I left off, or 1970 if possible.
  19. Tamara Tattles has more on RHOC: https://tamaratattles.com/2017/01/30/a-tiny-bit-of-real-housewives-of-orange-county-casting-news/ Gretchen, Lizzie and Lydia are all in the running to return, but Lydia is the frontrunner. Kelly is back and they're looking at one of her friends as the new HW. So officially we have: Kelly, Vicki, Shannon, Tamra with one returning housewife (likely Lydia) and one new housewife (friend of Kelly). I'd say that's a good enough reboot. Enough to change the dynamics but still very familiar so we don't have that jarring reboot like New Jersey or New York. Orange County always seems to get the casting right for the most part. They know how to keep things fresh. Whoever casts this show needs to help Jersey and Atlanta out.
  20. Okay I have the RHOC tea, courtesy of RHousewives101 Twitter account which is always very reliable. Returning: Tamra, Vicki, Shannon Offered Friend contracts but declined: Meghan, Heather Still Negotiating: Kelly SURPRISE FORMER HW RETURN: Lydia Now if this all pans out that is very interesting. I loved Lydia during her one season and felt she left way too soon. From what RHousewives101 said she's already signed her contract to return full-time. That could be a good lineup, Tamra, Vicki, Shannon, Kelly and Lydia. I like that we have one housewife returning but she still has a lot of story to tell unlike someone like Gretchen who I'd like to see back, but who would struggle for story.
  21. What about instead of Jeana you cast her daughter Kara? I'm not sure if she still lives in the area, but I do know that she married someone wealthy.
  22. Love or hate her, Bethenny saved New York. She's brought attention and she doesn't shy away from the drama. That was smart. Sheree sucks this year, but her return last year was very well worth it. A proper OC return, which they never do would be helpful. Unlike other series the ladies are actually still friends, so it won't be too jarring. Lizzie should've never been fired so she's the first one I'd bring back. She has wealth, is pretty and has interesting relaitonships with the ladies. Gretchen wouldn't be my first choice, but yall know Lauri and Jeana ain't coming back.
  23. I'm surprised everybody is shocked by Heather's exit. I knew she wasn't coming back since the backlash she got when the season ended. Apparently she was offered a FOH deal like Yolanda and turned it down. I understand why they did that. Remember how they completely slammed her in the season 8 uncensored special? Well they made a point of mentioning how difficult she is with production, which we also saw this season and you never know which Heather you're going to get. Plus they've been stretching this house thing out so long which I feel was a ploy to get her contract renewed. I'm glad she's gone. They needed a new dynamic so you can reset Vicki. With just Tamra, Vicki, Kelly and possibly Shannon that gives you a chance to reset alliances since you'll have at least two-three new wives. To avoid the NYC/NJ curse though I WOULD bring back at least one past housewife. Especially if Shannon doesn't return. Kelly, Vicki, Tamra, Lizzie, Gretchen with one newbie could really work.
  24. I would love a cast of Vicki, Heather, Shannon, Kelly, Tamra, Gretchen and Lizzie. It would be more balanced.
  25. I keep hearing rumors Heather is also out. For sure we know Tamra, Vicky and at TCA Andy said they're negotiating with Kelly so she'll be back. In the end I expect Heather back but not Shannon. I think that gives them a solid group of four and they can add two wives and potentially change up the dynamics again.
