  1. I just watched the last two Orange County episodes. The trip is okay by this seasons standards, but you can tell the ladies (Newbies + Tamra) are trying to goad Shannon into a fight. When it comes to the newbies who ARE boring, Shannon just isn’t into them! They look crazy constantly talking about her! Enjoy yourself and the people who do get along with you. People are closer to Others in every friend group. Then Tamra is the snake she always was trying to play both sides then throwing Shannon under the bus which will continue Next week. I get that Shannon is annoying at times and especially last season was dark, but I’ll always appreciate her for showing her true life and personality, warts and all. I feel she’s turned a corner this season and is trying to be happy and move forward with her life. It seems like Tamra WANTS her to stay miserable to use against her. She’s clearly still upset about the Eddie/Shannon stuff. I just hope come reunion that Shannon digs into Tamra’s ass and stops falling for her Mess.
  2. I’ve given up on OC this season. Of course I will still watch, but is horrible and boring. I’m so ready for it to be over. Same with Dallas. Both shows need to overhaul their casts next season and OC needs to ditch both newbies. Im thankful NJ and ATL look promising because it’s not a good time to be a housewives fan!
  3. The wives always go after LVP because they clearly don’t like her, but it never works. If the idea of a revamp is everybody getting along to attack Lisa it’ll fail like season 4. For one that’s boring and two the pile up will make the audience side with Lisa. I hope and pray she truly disappears from filming so they can implode with each other. I need a cast photo and trailer soooo bad just to get a sense of what is true and what isn’t.
  4. I’m in March 71 and find the show much more difficult to watch. The pacing has slowed down and the flashbacks are ridiculous. The positive aspect is that like Dynasty, The Pollocks can introduce good new characters. I still need to wait for Cathy to be recast, but I love Hank and John and Toni. They’re injecting new life into the show, but existing characters are struggling. I was concerned about Althea and Nick, but the writing for them is actually fine but Maggie is unbearable. This horrible story with this man stalking her reminds me of Liz and her stalker. It drags on and doesn’t really interest me at all. I’d rather focus on Greta, the most interesting member of the Powers family.
  5. I saw Nene’s comments and she said she’s expecting a baby shower invite. I take her comments to be more ego than anything. If you have the “star” of the franchise, she wants you to ask about her not someone who is no longer on the show. That’s very Nene.
  6. I’m bored by these fake hoes going after LVP again. She is so unbothered and they are obsessed with her! I hope she quits mid season as well. It’s about time they carry the show themselves.
  7. Oh that is sooooo nice seeing Kenya and Porsha together!
  8. Chris B replied to YRBB's topic in Off Topic Lounge
Meghan can be very annoying, but at least she is honest about how she feels and mixes it up with the women. Abby has been snoozeworthy! She has such thin arguments and opinions when it comes to politics and I feel she says something and they just quickly move on. She’s irrelevant. The only time she perks up is when they talk pop culture stuff. I highly doubt she’ll last the entire season. I’m curious to see how she’ll act with Megan on.
  9. ATL’s trailer was quiet, but I can’t be upset considering they were in dire need of a reboot. Kenya, Porsha and Kim Fields are the only new housewives they’ve had! Compared to others that is insane. I’m going to give them a chance since they finally seem to be making an effort. I also think the premiere will have another trailer because they didn’t include Marlo or Tanya and we know they’re a heavy presence throughout the season. ETA: Tamara Tattles has more details: http://tamaratattles.com/2018/10/01/tanya-sam-will-not-be-a-full-time-housewife-after-all/ From that it looks like Tanya was always meant as a friend, but something happens in Tokyo that made them want to promote her but they didn’t have enough footage to do it. Now I’m curious what happens because I can’t get a read from her pics what type of personality she will have. I’m most excited to see her mostly because she seems so mysterious to us lol.
  10. I’m glad Marlo finally got an official shot! That’s all I needed! All in all the trailer was shockingly positive with not much drama between the ladies. I’m sure they left a lot of the drama out and the season looks fine. I missed Kenya and Sheree’s master shade (not to mention the joggers!), but it’s time they had some fresh faces so I’m in. After eh seasons for OC and Dallas I’m ready!
  11. I’ve always said the ratings are low because the cast is bland. They’re pleasant and provide a steady dose of drama but they’re too similar. If they get a fourth season they HAVE to change the cast.
  12. Trump tweeted that the story is a lie and that they can investigate whatever they see fit. Some are saying that’s legally binding since the White House has said his twitter statements are official. Of course I put nothing past them so we will see what happens. Regardless a week simply doesn’t seem enough unless they really get all their offices involved.
  13. The company that has the show says they’re 290 episodes short of the complete series. I think they started in 1967 because I believe that’s the year the show went to color and when they had the canvas the show was known for with Nick, Carolee and Steve joining. I hope that if they do make it to the end they go back to the beginning and show us what they have.
  14. Reading y’all post about the present day episodes (1976) is surreal for me because y’all never seem to be talking about people I know lol. The Doctors seemed to have such a stable core, but whenever I watch a later episode on YouTube it seems the show changes so much. I can’t wait to hear what y’all think when Douglas Marland takes over. I know he transforms the show even more, with mixed opinions on how that worked out. For me Im almost done with 1970. I just finished Dan and Carolee’s wedding. They’re currently at the Christmas tree with Billy and my absolute favorite Miss Emma Simpson. Such a delightful actress! I hope y’all keep me posted when she reappears in the present episodes. I’ll have to jump ahead and see that! Now that it’s been a while you can definitely see the shift with The Pollocks. The show is very fast paced and with dialogue it seems they’re trying to modernize it. I do like it so far. I was dreading Althea when she returned but she’s settling in nicely and I’ve completely forgotten about the past year of terror she inflicted on my viewing lol. They’re smart to stabilize her with Greta, Maggie and Rick as opposed to immediately throwing her into a relationship. I feel like now I’m comfortable with her and can accept her in her own story. Going back to Dan and Carolee, Dan is almost immediately more sinister with the new writers but I still love him. I’m glad they show Carolee and Emma as suspicious even if they aren’t acting on it. The only thing I don’t like is Dan having the nerve to complain about Emma’s clock after forcing her to move in. He better leave her alone! Lastly, with Rico shot in the head I feel his days are numbered. Such a shame because the actor is a great find and has done a good job of rehabilitating Nick’s character. Martha and Rico are the best thing to happen to him.
  15. The Pollocks were very plot driven with Dynasty and The Colbys (although not as much) so that doesn’t surprise me. Knowing them from those shows and knowing how different The Doctors is, it’ll be interesting to see how this works. Now a question for those watching the current episodes, any early thoughts on Jada Rowland as Carolee? I’ve seen one or two episodes with her and visually she seems fine, but more like a traditional heroine. Carolee Campbell was a unique find so that doesn’t surprise me, but she seems like she’ll be fine. I do commend Carolee Campbell for creating such a unique and interesting character from a day player role. Because the show was canceled in the 80s she doesn’t get the credit she deserves for being a daytime great. I especially love her now that her mom has been introduced. They should’ve brought her mom back later, unless they killed her off. I’m not sure how she’s written off. ETA: Theyve wrapped up the story of Julie’s death and seem to be setting up their new stories, namely Althea’s return. I was happy to see her go despite Virginia Vestoff’s fantastic performances, but just a few episodes in and I’m sick of her again. No flashbacks yet, but the majority of her scenes are fantasies or dream sequences which bore me to death. It does nothing to move the story forward or make me look forward to her return to Madison. I wish they had cast an actor to work with her in the out of town scenes so we could learn her perspective on things in a more organic way than this. So far these Pollocks are getting a side eye from me.
  16. New Jersey looks really good! I feel like Dolores and Siggy were both decent but lackluster housewives. Dolores is good to have around due to history with the cast and as a mellow housewife, but these two new wives (along with Marge) seem to have a fire that could really shake things up. I’m also glad Teresa and Melissa are fighting because their friendship has always felt like a fake alliance if anything.
  17. I’ve finally reached the Pollocks material. Not much of a difference so far, they’re still dealing with Rico and the fallout of Julie’s death. Two quick changes are bringing Cathy more to the forefront and Althea is back, although not in Madison. I’ll admit to being worried about seeing Althea. The character was so draining that I’m not sure I trust how she’ll be written. Nick has been so delightful with Rico and Stella and her return has potential to drag him down again. They’ve become such a toxic couple.
  18. I’m head over heels in love with Rico! It amazes me he didn’t stay longer. Such good chemistry with Nick and it’s nice seeing Nick with something different. The other aspect of the story is Julie and her growing obsession with Rico. I know in jusr a few weeks Julie will be dead which feels short sighted. This story seems like it could have legs. All the actors work beautifully together. Even Martha and Rico are so cute together. She brings a softer side out of him.
  19. Nene is partially right. I do not think that is the actual cast pic, but Bravo leaked it. It was accidentally posted to Shop By Bravo.
  20. I feel indifferent until they show me a reason to be excited. Love it hate Kenya, the level of shade, glamour and chemistry with the cast is going to be hard to top. Same with losing Phaedra. Last season Eva was pretty blah so hopefully she’ll be more interesting now that she knows the girls. The two newbies look sooooo tired to me. Weaves and outfits in all the pics I’ve seen just horrific. With that said, ATL is the worst at bringing on new wives so I’m glad they finally did. We just need to see if they’re good or not.
  21. I know Marlo’s history but you have lots of criminals on the franchise so I’m okay with it! I feel like if she’s already going to be there full time you may as well give her a peach but I know she’ll never get one lol. ETA: Cast photo leaked. Bravo slippin!
  22. I’m now at the beginning of August 1970, so about a month until the Pollocks arrive. After the slow Ira Avery stint I’ve been loving the show since Stanley Silverman joined. It’s much tighter and the pacing is good. I’ve heard Dan becomes a villain, which I can’t see thus far. He’s a great leading man who could have legs (no pun intended). I’m hoping the story where he becomes a villain is worth it. I think he has good chemistry with Carolee and I love Billy and the tension with Steve. I know Steve is the one we’re supposed to root for but I still remember him raping Karen and the Mess with Althea. I’ve softened to him, but he deserves to have to wait and fight for Carolee. Greta is somehow my favorite character. I thought when the rabbit story was wrapped up that would be it for her, but she’s still a little terror stealing from her entire family. This is a better use of Maggie than that story and boring story with the boy in the hospital. Literally everybody in that household is involved which is how a soap story should be. When the Pollocks arrive they’re lucky because they’re inheriting a show in good shape. I loved their work on Dynasty and The Colbys so I’m curious to see what they do.
  23. Ima ignore that last comment, but yes it’s blurred. They’re doing a slow reveal. Only two they’ve shown so far are Kandi and Porsha who are on the far left.
  24. Of course we won’t 100% know until the release next week, but clearly Marlo ain’t no damn housewife! You mean to tell me they went with 7 wives, she filmed ALL season and is on every trip and they still can’t give my girl a peach?!
  25. Oh wow that was an amazing episode! Glad it was focused on the Brooks family as well. The production values were great! I especially loved the set Lance and Leslie were on. Her singing number was so much fun and so well directed! The scenes with Jennifer and Mark were good as well. The only time I recall seeing her is the episode with her at the hospital so it was nice seeing her in an actual storyline.
