Call me crazy, but that was the most restrained I’ve ever seen Kelly! Considering her convo with Shannon I expected her to go make a fool of herself with Steve, but I felt she was fair, calm and handled herself well. His reaction was so over the top that it made me think he isn’t the upstanding man he said he was. Why not just say, “Yes I did an interview but I didn’t mean anything bad by it and I’m sorry if it offended you.” Simple. He takes after Vicki with apologizes and then Emily’s husband? He is up there with Skade and Jim as one of the worst. Kelly has EVERY RIGHT to tear his ass up and I’m sad that she’ll likely get the blame since nobody really witnessed what he did. One thing I will say: THANK YOU to Kelly and Shannon. They are carrying this show on their backs. I hope Shannon falls out completely with Tamra. I’m ready for Tamra to be on the outs again. They’ve been falling for her BS for too long.

The op-ed was only useful in irritating Trump. I don’t even think it was about distracting from Kavannagh because he’ll be confirmed regardless. Even perjuring himself multiple times, the republicans won’t let him go so that’s that. The person who wrote the op-Ed was as probably humiliated by Trump and wanted to get back at him and also give himself political cover once this all blows open. He can say he tried to alert people to the dangers of Trump, even though it would’ve been more powerful to do that on the record.

RHOA should go all out and have 8 full time Wives. It’s a big transition season losing Kenya, Sheree and Phakedra before that. We been asking for new blood so I just want a solid, fresh year for once! Hopefully these hoes don’t disappoint as they tend to do.

By the time the show reaches 1976, how old is Greta? I’m in June 1970 and she’s still a child, but I’ve seen episodes from the end where she’s an adult. I must say I’m really enjoying the show now. It was terribly dull with Ira Avery by himself, but the pacing is better with the new Co-HW and things are actually happening now. I will say as much as I love Virginia Vestoff, I’m ready for her to go in hopes we get some sort of rest before Liz Hubbard returns. I just can’t take how pathetic they write Althea.

Quad has been so disconnected from the group for years now. I wish they’d just phase her out already. Her storyline doesn’t work for me because she was never compatible with her husband. She knew from day one he wanted kids and that she didn’t, but stayed with him likely because he had money. Mariahs return full time was definitely welcomed. The addition of talking heads and family scenes helped flesh her out more so it wasn’t like when she’d just pop up to cause drama and we didn’t get her perspective.

See when you do clownery, the clown comes back to bite! I am so happy Mariah is a full fledged wife again and is tearing these hoes up from episode one! I’m excited for this season!!

Andy was full of it so it was glorious seeing Carole call him out. If you go back to the season, it started with Bethenny nonstop making digs at Carole in confessionals and to the other women. Didn’t Carole dismiss Ramona or Dorinda when they tried to warn her it was a bigger issue than she thought? That’s why she started the blogs because she was being nice to Bethenny on the show not knowing so she was going back and responding to stuff she never knew was happening. I hate how they made her the villain. Just like Bethenny with Jill, Carole decided to move on and didn’t wanna reconcile. I just love that Carole left on her own terms. You could tell she knew she wasn’t staying and was fine with that.

Good RHOP news! They’re on their first cast trip to New Orleans and Katie is with them! I hope she is more than a FOH. I hated she left!

I’ve finally met Carolee’s mother and Greta! Love both of them. It’s interesting having Greta arrive when Maggie is a space cadet considering that’s her child. Matt and Mike were the main ones interacting with her lol. Sadly I thought the Maggie/boy story was ending but Matt is saying he needs another couple weeks in the hospital. I just don’t understand why this won’t end! Carolee’s mom is a lot older than I expected. Very old school which I love. I can’t wait to see more of her and her meddling.

I’m almost done with April 1970 and it’s improving. The Maggie story is painfully bad but it seems like it must be wrapping up. I just feel this boy can’t be in the hospital too much longer. The positive for me is Carolee. I love her and they’ve just introduced Billy and are expanding Dan’s role. His house set is so cute and I’m enjoying Billy. He seems to have good chemistry with Carolee as well. I’m still really excited to meet her mom. They mention her almost every episode! Other than this storyline I don’t think I’m really enjoying anything but this is getting good enough screentime that I’m content. I still like Virginia as Althea, but the story with Steve is a dud. I also notice Nick playing around with some rabbits so hopefully Greta will be arriving shortly.

I think Peggy would’ve been better if her English was easier to understand, but I do think she and Lydia brought a lot last season as I’ve said before. It was more exciting day-to-day. Peggy also had a interesting family to watch which you don’t have with Emily or Gina. I just snooze at their solo scenes. Dont get me wrong though, even boring OC is better than most franchises! This season just feels more like those slower early years, not the more glam past few seasons we’ve had.

Shannon is the only one worth watching for me on OC! I’ll definitely give u that. Good or bad she always delivers and is an iconic housewife IMO. She is literally the only housewife I’m truly loving both in group and personal scenes.

@Taoboi I agree they should’ve taken turns going at Bethenny to be more effective. She isn’t easy to rattle and when they all scream over each other it makes her more relaxed because she knows they look silly. It makes it easier to deflect, but this bunch isn’t as slick as RHOA girls who will wait patiently to destroy a bitch lol. I’m hoping Carole gets her next week, hence Bethenny almost bearing her with her phone. Now with RHOC are y’all enjoying it yet? I’m still bored. I didn’t watch last week. I’m going to either stack it with this week or wait a third week and binge in hopes it plays better that way.

I’m enjoying this season and am glad they’ve finally managed to do pre-production and come up with a full cast that is consistent unlike other seasons when it feels like the newbies are in and out all season long until they find something that sticks. I actually would bring all three girls back, although I feel Cece and OG have contributed the most in terms of story. Kristen I’d only keep due to her connections to others. Now with Amsterdam I was surprised that Cece was the target. When it comes to Evelyn I understand her frustration because Evelyn and Jen did come for her. I don’t understand why everybody acts like Cece is the crazy one, especially Kristen. It bothered her so much that she brought it to Cece’s attention, but she seems upset she won’t let go. The dinner argument was silly. It’s not throwing shade to say you wouldn’t go to someone’s job and demean what they do for a living. In no way does that mean you’re saying they don’t work. You could tell Kristen was being messy because she’s mad at Cece. Cece is smart not to fool with her anymore. It’s very transparent what she’s doing which is get close to the queen bees to improve her chances of returning next year. I’m glad that Cece was able to defend herself though. I hope next week she does well as it continues. I hope Kristen’s tears don’t work to make her feel she’s the problem. At least at the reunion or something I need Kristen called out on her [!@#$%^&*]. Still majorly shocked that Jackie has managed the entire season acting normal and civil. OG is also growing on me and I think she fits well. She can go off when she needs to but is also interesting in her calm moments. What would yalls cast look like next season? Personally I’d bring everybody back except Tami and Jen who have quit obviously. Maybe one newbie. To truly compete with the housewives they need to stop dumping all the newbies each year because you can’t build any momentum or long term feuds. I’d add a couple newbies but upgrade the three girls they added.

Right now I’m doing Falcon Crest and The Doctors...both non official of course. Just finished The Americans which was amazing! That was on Amazon. Trying to watch The Bay as well.

I’m glad Carole gives it to Andy next week. He’s so biased towards Bethenny it’s crazy. I feel this week was just the warm up. They were all screaming over each other so they couldn’t really get anything out. One thing is clear: nobody really likes Bethenny which will make next season interesting since she’s the star. I expect whatever newbies to be people who will want to deal with her. Kenya is definitely out because she’d destroy Bethenny.

Interesting! Glad Grace wasn’t completely forgotten if her sister appears. Also shows great restraint that they never have the Powers a love child of their own. I like Maggie but the actual boy is annoying and this is another one I feel isn’t going to go anywhere. Also i co-sign all the Julie love. She is a blast!

I’m looking forward to seeing how they get there. I saw the episode where she died about a year ago. So far I haven’t seen Greta who also featured into that stuff. So I do have a couple other questions. Is Greta Matt and Maggie’s daughter? And with Mike, who is his mother?

@JarrodMFiresofLove Thanks for that! I definitely see what you mean. So far his tenure doesn’t seem too destructive like some HWs, but he doesn’t seem to have much of a vision. The show is watchable but there aren’t any stories that are really standing out.

I’m still in 1970, currently in March. I just finished the episode where it’s revealed Anna is having pains and Althea and Maggie worry it’s soemthing bad. I know Anna leaves this year so I’m getting worried as well! She’s such a delightful actress it’s a shame she didn’t stick around longer. With that said, I’m interested in seeing where this goes. Beyond that im very disappointed in the story with Carolee and the abortions. I just don’t see the purpose of it. In the end nobody was really to blame and she quickly patched things up with Julie and Nurse Buckley. I feel like they could’ve done more with it. I notice they keep mentioning Carolee’s mom. I can’t wait to finally meet her since she sounds fun and I remember y’all enjoyed her from older posts. Matt and Maggie are still dealing with the fallout from their car accident. Maggie seems distant and kinda obsessed with the boy who survived. This is another thing I’m curious to see. I’m ready for Maggie to have something centered around her for a change. Now my one big question: What did y’all think of Ira Avery as a HW? I saw on Wikipedia that he gets a co-HW next month. So far I think the show is fine but it could definitely use a kick. Im curious if that co-HW will improve things any. Clearly he couldn’t be that great if he gets replaced with the Pollocks but I’m still enjoying the show!

I’ve picked the show back up in January 1970. I left off when Liz was still kidnapped and skipped forward because that story bored me and I blame that for me lapsing in viewership. I feel like I picked a good spot to pick up. Althea and Nick are getting divorced and Nick knows she cheated with Steve. I really am enjoying Virginia Vestoff as Althea. It’s easy to enjoy her knowing it won’t last so it’s just a nice change of pace. She’s beautiful and just as good as she was on Dark Shadows. Im surprised that Anna is still around. I believe this is her last year and she’ll be missed. Her friendship with Liz and Carolee is fun to watch. Speaking of Carolee, she is delightful. There is just something about her that is different from other soap characters and actors and I feel like I could watch her even in the worst of stories. Right now they’re dealing with a paper found in Carolee’s office with a list of coded abortions. The one big difference I see are all the interns. I’d heard of Kathy because Nancy Barrett played her and the original actress is around. She’s pretty forgettable so far since the focus has been on Julie. I’m curious when she’ll come into focus and of course can’t wait for Nancy to arrive! Julie is a blast so far. I’m not sure what the consensus was on her but I’m a fan. All in all my return to the show has has been fun! I watched an entire month in a weeks time. I know the Pollocks arrive soon so I’m looking forward to that writing change. Nobody will ever top Rita Lakin here but they lasted long enough I imagine it must be good.

@DramatistDreamer When I mention AOL what I mean is that they already have those episodes ready to go for streaming since they had to do that for AOL and SOAPnet in Another Worlds case. Idk why even if it’s just those episodes they can’t put them up.

But PGP has the AOL streaming deal so at the very least, why not have Amazon stream the complete series of Texas? I’m sure based on those reruns the show is ready to go. Same for Edge or Search, even if you just start where AOL was, not to mention Another World. What I could see happening though is that these soaps are put up, but it’ll be more recent years similar to what happened with B&B recently.

Carole said she did reach out to Bethenny. I wonder if they’re starting to film so soon what is the cast going to look like? Do they have a newbie in mind? Is Tinsley returning? Luann? I could’ve seen a seamless transition if Jill came back but she said she’d only do a Friend position. Hopefully the newbie is better than Tinsley, Jules and Kristen who I felt were all on the meh side.
