So, I have a few interviews with the DAYS cast but I won't be putting them up until tomorrow, the earliest as each of them are VERY spoiler heavy - I couldn't help myself. I believe I touched upon some of the things discussed in the thread already, including etc, but I accidentally zeroed in on those areas with the actors and discussed it more in depth. Didn't read much of the thread before posting, but let's not forget that Gina Tognoni dyed her hair red in order to become Phyllis but eventually stopped having to do that on "The Young and the Restless." Kristen Alderson had to dye her hair in order to separate herself from Starr when she became Kiki on "General Hospital," same for Sarah Brown (although by choice) when she became Claudia vs playing Carly years earlier. The use of a wig does change things slightly, but it's not unheard of to accommodate audience acceptance of an actor taking over a role they've been used to for years.

I find it quite interesting that Ingo Rademacher only appeared in one episode in November which happened to also be his last. Clearly the show had no use for the character overall so Ingo's decision to not get vaccinated wasn't as big of a deal as it would appear. Meaning, even if he did get vaccinated he'd still be barely shown.

Can I just say that SOD calling the movie a "holiday event" or a "special" is irritating the hell out of me. While it doesn't have the budget or look of your typical Hallmark or Lifetime movie, it is still a MOVIE! Without commercials it's the standard 1hr, 18 minute - 1hr, 20 minute TV movie. Sorry, just an annoyance I have with them ever since Peacock announced the project.

I watched today's episode and heard Eric Braeden say Dominique, and I was like... "I thought the baby was a boy?" Also glad I wasn't' the only one who heard him saying this. I also thought I heard Chance say "excuse me ma'am" to Melody Thomas Scott as Nikki when Abby called him over to meet Locke and Victoria. Am I the only one who heard that? I played it back several times. Maybe I'll clip it and share to get people's input.

Soaps do not traditionally comment on actor contracts, comings & goings, etc unless it's something they themselves want to promote. This is why when a publication cites "exclusive" it's because they were granted the information first without the show outright being forced to confirm anything with another publication. Additionally, the vaccination status of an actor cannot be revealed by a private employer. We only know the status of celebrities, including their getting COVID, because they open their own mouths and say so. Just because Deadline, Variety, etc are covering this story in their publications doesn't mean they'll get anything out of the soaps beyond what the soap outlets that are covering the story are able to get unless you count something like what happened with Ingo Rademacher following the transphobic comments. Right now the exit of a major character is the cover story of SOD which for some reason people still buy. To sell the show and the magazine, viewers have to be led to believe that the characters are going to either find Jason or that Jason will be back down the road. For him to be gone because the actor allegedly didn't get vaccinated won't work for the type of fans that watch soaps, regardless of political leanings. The soaps have an older, more traditional audience more so than any other genre. They aren't as adapt to change like many younger soap viewers would like them to be which is why the transition to the web or streaming is partially due to this demographic. We can hate the game all we want, but that's how it's played. You either sit it out like some outlets have or you dribble as much as you can until you can get a score. In this instance, the score is hard to come by.

For all intents and purposes, that's still what is considered a sex tape. Several real-life people have been filmed having consensual sex with someone without their knowledge of being filmed. That's still a sex tape.
