  1. This is just from 1985.
  2. They missed a trick by not having a rapid aged Kevin returning in the late '80s or early '90s. Liz could fuss over him and he'd be a rival for Matt - he'd be a brand new character but also a character established enough to be involved with the Corys.
  3. Uncovered : Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth Hayes - Australian TV Interview from 1989 @jam6242 This has been up for a year and a half but I was tagging in case it's new to you. Sorry if it's not. A reminder of how big DAYS was in Australia for a time. There is a shorter clip from this where they talk about not being on the show. Susan throws enough shade to darken a metropolis. 4. UNCOVERED - Joan Van Ark from Knotts Landing - 1989 Australian TV Interview
  5. Keith/Jonathan on Loving and Adam/Stuart on AMC would be two others. I can't remember how Guy Davis came across on OLTL but he never had a chance. Shawn Thompson was OK but not suited to a leading man role on a soap and not that convoluted debut. If GL had tried to bring him in similar to Fletcher's role, comedic with a heart and unlucky in love, maybe, but they already had Fletcher.
  6. There are so many moments in Tudor's first run I'm tempted to make into an avatar. She was just glorious. It's a shame that Loving being such a low-rated show meant the soap press rarely spoke of her or of Roya Megnot. Only toward the end of Tudor's run did she get praise.
  7. Tom Pelphrey and Kaley Cuoco are having another baby. https://people.com/kaley-cuoco-pregnant-expecting-second-baby-tom-pelphrey-8717478
  8. I know Ben was already long gone by the time DePriest arrived, but it makes no sense to me he wasn't recast when they knew Jake was leaving. That's what has always confused me when I see this article. Did she really have no idea Tom Eplin and Julie Osburn were leaving? The McKinnons could not continue to exist as a family by 1987 - they just weren't strong enough.
  9. Thanks @JAS0N47 I've seen some fans complaining about these episodes...and then I've seen some fans complaining about the complaining and insisting that will make Sony stop uploading them. I have my doubts there. Low view count may but even then these are clearly being prepared and ready to go, as long as they don't have music, anyway. I hope they will eventually find some way to get the others up and just take the music out. I thought this was a decent period for DAYS, even if they were still chasing the Reilly highs. They just inevitably failed at those highs and then I think the show started to suffer more over the next year or two as a result. I'll never stop hoping for some '60s or '70s episodes. I know there is a lot of singing from Doug and Trish, etc. but you'd think some of those songs may be in the public domain now...
  10. Great to see you on here again. I've posted a lot of these but they're still a blur to me so I always appreciate your comments. I agree, although as you said we've had more than I had expected in the last few years. I hope we get more, and also more of Families, and some of those very short-lived UK and Australian soaps.
  11. I can't see Dorian with the Dan of this period - I haven't watched that period in a while but I thought there were some homoerotic vibes with him and Jamie Sanders. Maybe with the late '80s Dan, Michael Palance, although he was aggressive. I'd never seen Robin comment on the nicer Dorian of this period. It's real outlier for the character. I can see why she wasn't thrilled, although I think the break in her feud with Viki was a good thing.
  12. There might be more info in the proposed soaps thread. I'm not sure. I think there may have been claims the Kasnoffs were from that show's bible.
  13. Thanks. I don't mind Perry King here, although I thought he was stiff in some of his later primetime soap work (admittedly he was only meant to be a baddie or stiff in those). Jean is doing the heavy lifting. There are some good moments here, like the quiet reveal of how broke the family is, but it may have been too morose for where primetime soaps were heading. That era sure loved the incest undertones...I don't even know if you can call them undertones here. I wonder if Perry and Mary would have been revealed as not being siblings. Why is Melanie Griffith credited in that video?
  14. I think she did. That first casting of him was also so poor.
